When the waiter left, Mo Roulan looked at He Jian only to find him looking at herself with intense eyes.
She tried not to move her eyes away but in the end, she was left flustered and looked away.
Amusent flashed through He Jian’s blue eyes.
He leaned forward and moved his hand towards her hand that was placed on the table. He laced his fingers with hers.
Mo Roulan felt her heart drumming against her chest because of the simple move.
"Do you know what it is today?"
He Jian asked gently though he already had a guess that she didn’t know. And sure enough, he was right when he saw the confusion in her eyes.
A sigh escaped his lips as he told his girlfriend.
"It is one month since we started dating."
Mo Roulan blinked on hearing the words.
"One month...one month passed already. It feels as if only a short ti has passed." She whispered more likely to herself.
The disappointnt that He Jian was feeling because she didn’t rember it was suddenly washed away.
She feels that only a short ti has passed. Did it not an that she liked spending ti with him so much that she didn’t even realize it when a month passed?
Joy filled his heart and his fingers held Mo Roulan’s hand more firmly.
"Lanlan...do you want to dance with ?"
Mo Roulan looked at He Jian in surprise and couldn’t help but ask
"Here?"
He Jian smiled and nodded his head. He held her hand and pulled her to stand up from the chair. As he walked a few steps forward, the lights were suddenly dimd and a very soothing song started to play.
Mo Roulan was surprised as she looked around the large hall wondering if soone was hidden sowhere to do all this.
She looked at He Jian when she felt a hand on her waist but when she did her breath couldn’t help but get stuck in her throat for a mont.
His blue eyes had emotions that made her heart lt into a muddle of pool...that made her legs weak.
She didn’t do anything when he held her hand and put it on his shoulder. Pulling her closer to himself by holding her hand, he moved his feet slowly taking her along with himself on his own rhythm.
For a mont, it all felt so perfect.
She couldn’t help but lay her head on his chest as they danced slowly. A gentle kiss fell on her hair and she could feel it deep down her heart.
She could feel his love, his gentleness, his hold on her waist so gently as if he was holding sothing precious.
Mo Roulan didn’t know what she was feeling but she suddenly felt overwheld with everything.
"Lanlan..."
His voice brought her to shore. She didn’t raise her head and just humd.
"How did you like it...the last month? Did I do anything to disappoint you?"
Mo Roulan was surprised to hear the question and raised her head. When she looked into He Jian’s eyes, she didn’t know if that was nervousness she heard in his voice.
"No..."
She whispered more likely to herself. She rembered the past month. In fact, by now he should have hated her.
But nothing was going like her past life now.
Even after Shen Yiling revealed the truth to him, he didn’t hate her. As much as it confused him, she could feel that she was freed from the burden she had always felt for that mistake.
If He Jian could forgive her, then she could start to forgive herself, right?
"Why are you so lost today?"
She heard him say and realized that she seed to have lost herself in her thoughts again. Having no reply, she only shook her head.
He Jian sighed as he left her hand to tuck her hair behind her ear.
"I want to give you everything...so that you would never think of leaving ."
And there went her heart again ...drumming loudly against her chest. He needs to stop speaking things like this...otherwise she would beco putty in his hands.
But He Jian didn’t seem to have any such plan.
"Lanlan, I have loved soone this much for the first ti. When I think of the three months you agreed for, I naturally think if you would leave after three months...and I wish to ensure that you would stay."
"Sotis...I feel scared because of the power you have on ."
Mo Roulan blinked in shock because of whatever she heard.
How could she have any power on him? But his eyes made her feel that he was saying the truth.
When he leaned his head against hers, she was breathing heavily. But when he asked her
"Lanlan, I know that your fears are reasonable but can you put aside all your fears aside for once and be my official girlfriend?"
Her breath stopped suddenly.
The utter silence and her stiff body made He Jian’s heart sink. He felt as if he ruined everything because of his impatience.
Maintaining the smile on his lips, he left her waist and said
"Forget that I said anything. Co, let’s eat sothing. You must ..."
However, as he took a step forward, his sleeve was suddenly caught by a hand. Surprised, He Jian turned around to look at Mo Roulan.
His heart was filled with imnse guilt when he saw her black-brown eyes filled with fear and uncertainty.
But what ca out of her mouth was a firm..."Yes"
He thought that he heard wrong.
"What did you say?"
He couldn’t help but ask as he felt his own heart beating loudly against his chest. Only she could do this.
This ti, Mo Roulan’s eyes were also clear of any fear and she said firmly.
"Yes, I want to date you...officially."
And the next mont, He Jian kissed her like there was no tomorrow.
Amidst the kiss, he promised her
"I won’t let you regret ever."
Before he sealed her lips again with his own.
