Chapter 22: DUCIANA DUE’S VISIT
"News travels fast, huh?" I teased Isla to ease the tension that was radiating off her.
Isla nodded and then added, "Congratulations CEO Lucian on the news of your marriage. ’
I grinned and then asked, "How long has she been here?"
"One hour," Isla stated.
"When did you find out about the contract marriage announcent?"
"Four hours ago," she whispered and her face was filled with sha "A friend from the KODA council offices called
to confirm if I heard the news.
"Thank you, Isla. I will handle this, just pack up and go ho, "I instructed her and left.
"Thank you, Sir." I heard the response as I walked into my office.
Upon entry, I found Anisha seated by the window, while Zeeb was seated on the opposite side of my desk, pretending to be scrolling through the phone. Duciana Due sat on the couch, legs crossed, and her beautiful face looked an. Her deanor told
she had co for war.
I closed the door and spoke up. "Are you all waiting for ? At this late hour"
"Yes CEO Lucian" Anisha was the first one to speak.
"I called you several tis, but you never picked up the phone, "Zeeb stated.
"I was busy. And who might you be?" I raised my eyebrows.
"This is Duciana Due. She is here to see you. She insisted on waiting for you and we saw fit to keep her company, "Anisha explained, but her eyes were full of anger.
"Thank you, little sister," I responded, and Anisha bead.
I could see how the statent angered Duciana and surprised Zeeb. "You can leave, now that I am here. "
They both looked uncomfortable because I was chasing them out of the office and then Duciana Due’s bitter voice rose. "Your CEO has instructed you to leave."
I winked at Zeeb, who huffed and stood up from my chair. They left the office and as soon as the door closed, Duciana’s smile widened. "CEO Lucian, have a seat" She raised her hand to show the opposite couch before her.
She switched her mood so fast it made my skin crawl.
I walked to my desk took off my coat and put it on the chair. I placed my phone on the charging port on my desk, picked up a bottle of water, and strolled to the couch. I sat and crossed one leg over the other. Uncapping the bottle of water, my cold eyes bore at her, and waited for her to speak.
She watched
and I sipped the water and demanded, "What do you need?"
"Why do you have to be cold to ? We have never t before," she smiled.
I placed the water bottle on the table and leaned back on the couch. "What do you need?" I repeated the question.
Her smile disappeared and pouted her mouth. "CEO Lucian, you are just a young pup. Though you co from the Freki family, I am twenty years older than you. You haven’t been in the Golden shifter pack for a long ti and you seem not to understand the past"
"Really?" I raised one eyebrow.
"I am here to offer advice and help if you need it, ’’ she nodded.
"Why would I need advice from a stranger?" I smirked.
She laughed and then responded, "You are about to walk into a death trap by marrying the Rogue"
"How is that any of your business? If I die, only my family will be concerned. You are not family," I asserted.
The smile on her face did not reach her eyes. "You are determined to ruin your life?"
"It’s my life to ruin," I responded with a chuckle.
"Alpha Lobo said you would be adamant and difficult. Hence, I am forced to reveal so truth about my sister’s death. "
"No need" I raised my hand dismissively. "I don’t care"
She growled with anger. "Conri is nothing but a beast who mutilated my sister because she refused to marry him. I will never let him be happy ever"
"So that is why we are here? "I scoffed off.
She stood up and released her wolf power. After a while, she realized I was not affected and staggered back into the chair.
"Who the fuck are you?" She whispered.
It was my turn to state my mind. "I am your worst nightmare. Do you fucking think you can co to my office as you wish? To threaten ? Whatever happened in the past has nothing to do with . I am marrying Conri Dolf and no one will stop . I dare anyone who stands in my way"
"You fucking bastard" She scread the office door opened and Anisha walked in.
"Get out" Anisha seethed. "You are not welco in the Due Corporation and you should never set foot in this building. If you do, I have no problem dealing with you. My brother is being a gentleman by letting you rant and rave. But I have no problem hitting a woman"

Zeeb walked in and stood by the door. His eyes blazed as I felt his wolf rise to the surface.
"Go back to your Alpha and tell him that Conri Dolf is off limits. He will never get his hands on him," I snickered.

"What?" She stood up and staggered back from the couch.

"Get lost. "I stood up and yelled at her. The power of Freki hit her and she fell with a thud. A small whimper escaped from her mouth and I stood up and walked over to tower over her. "Conri Dolf is mine. "
