"How could that be possible? A beast from the Black Zone at Level 34 defeated three Level 8x beasts so easily?"

A professor scratched his head after hearing Joe’s statent. It sounded like so ridiculous story about a child beating an adult in a match.

One of the professors, Lorelei—the one who had suspended Rocky a week ago—roared,

"We must kill that cat. It’s a curse... A beast from the Black Zone doesn’t deserve to exist in the human world—or even the beast world."

She raised her voice.

"They’re error products of the Beast God."

A few professors shared the sa view as Lorelei.

"That’s right. I agree."

...

"Sure. Beasts from the Black Zone should die," Lorelei added.

"I even think they’re one of the reasons the demons ca to our world."

Misty sighed.

"That’s only your assumption... We should respect the contract with the Beast God: not totally exterminating any beast species. They’re an ecosystem that always supports itself without any outside intervention.’’

Lorelei smirked.

"We don’t need evidence... Isn’t it obvious? That cat definitely shares blood with demons."

Countless debates broke out among the professors until the principal finally spoke up.

"Enough! The beast isn’t at fault here. They’re like weapons used by beast tars, aren’t they?"

Lorelei nodded, but her eyes glead viciously. She was still furious that Rocky had returned to the academy after her punishnt was suddenly canceled without explanation.

At that mont, she decided she would get Rocky expelled no matter what.

"We should discuss the punishnt... I think we should follow the rules," she said.

Misty replied,

"No, that’s too harsh. We should suspend him for one year."

So professors began discussing Rocky’s punishnt among themselves.

After ten minutes, the principal raised his hand and said,

"Alright, silence. I’ve made my decision. He’ll receive an appropriate punishnt."

Joe, Cuthbert, and Shawn smirked as the mont finally ca. Yet their expressions quickly twisted when the principal continued.

"He’ll be placed under supervision for one week."

Shawn’s face darkened with anger.

"That’s not fair. He killed my beast."

Joe groaned.

"Principal, that’s not justice."

Principal said.

"Let’s treat this as punishnt for you bullying other students in the academy. Don’t deny it. We all know it very well."

The three guys scowled in confusion. Jeff had told them they could bully any student in the academy without being punished. After all, they were mbers of the Great Clans.

How could a tiny organization dare to do this to them now?

Lorelei spoke up.

"Principal, I oppose this. It’s not one of the academy’s rules."

So professors nodded in agreent. Yet the principal only sighed and said heavily,

"Who is the principal here?"

Lorelei groaned.

"B-But... the rules—"

...

"Who is the principal here?"

Lorelei’s expression twisted with resentnt as she gritted her teeth in helpless anger.

"You’re the principal here."

Tad snorted.

"That’s right. I’m the principal here... and that ans I’m the rules."

He stood up.

’’That’s all. Dismissed’’

But before he walked halfway, he spoke to Lorelei.

"Ah... you were demoted to cleaner for violating the academy’s rules."

Lorelei widened her eyes in disbelief.

"P-Principal... It must be a mistake... What rules did I violate?"

The principal rubbed his goatee for a mont and said,

"You exploited your position and used your authority indiscriminately... an individual has reported you... I have full evidence from that person."

"Can I ask who that person is?" Lorelei groaned in desperation.

The principal shrugged and continued walking ahead, ignoring the ex-professor.

"It’s a secret."1

Misty blinked repeatedly before following the principal to the hall’s gate.

"Father, why would you give such a light punishnt for that boy? Aren’t you afraid of the Stephens Clan?"

Rad frowned.

"Don’t call that in the workplace."

But he still answered.

"I have an order from my superior... We must protect that boy at any cost. His master is an important mber of the Plant Association."

Misty raised her eyebrow in surprise.

"Is it really necessary to provoke a Great Clan?"

She wondered what kind of importance Rocky could give them, in the end, to face a Great Clan.

Rad laughed.

"No need to worry. His master has developed new research on pills capable of enhancing beasts. With the power of these new pills, we don’t need to fear them. Our organization has already reached the level of the Great Clans. Moreover, the Stephens Clan isn’t as strong as before. I’d even say they don’t deserve to stand among the Three Great Clans at this point."

"Finally, I won’t have to endure their suppression every ti I face them. Next ti... I’ll show them which beast is stronger."

For sure, Rocky’s actions had already made a big impact. Investing in the Plant Association was his best option to stand against the Stephens Clan.

He could make sure that none of Jeff’s underlings would dare bully him in public like before... He even wished those bastards would try again. After all, he wasn’t weak anymore.

***

"Damn it!" Joe clenched his jaw in rage while slamming his hand onto the table.

Cuthbert and Shawn shared the sa anger.

anwhile, Jeff just chuckled.

"Calm down... we’ll have plenty of chances to deal with that trash."

How could he be so calm when Rocky was still safe after violating the academy’s rules? It was because he had just cleared a lot of dungeons with his Clan.

(Indeed, that trash’s sister is very useful. My beast has leveled up at a ridiculous speed—faster than I ever dread of... My goal is to defeat Scarlet... the genius of this generation. As for that trash, I can deal with him anyti I want.)

(I don’t want to waste my precious ti on an inferior worm.)

He leaned back against the chair happily while petting his beast.

In the last row of the classroom, Rocky stayed silent while listening to Scarlet scold Lorelei.

"I can’t believe that bitch punished you based on such shaky evidence, claiming I gave you a newly discovered plant when you were completely innocent. She even made it look like I frad you on purpose."

Then, in the next mont, her voice softened, no longer as harsh as before.

"Do you want to do sothing? I want to make it up to you... I’m sorry."

Rocky blinked.

"Not really. You don’t need to apologize. A lot of good things happened during the holidays."

Suddenly, Matt jumped off Rocky’s head onto the table. He nudged Rocky with his head as if he wanted sothing.

Rocky rubbed his chin and summoned the system.
