The Baron’s horse let out a pained cry as it tumbled. It flung the Baron off its back. The Baron rolled through the ground and ca to a stop after slamming on a tree.

Ariel didn’t bother with the Baron. She began firing more arrows at the horses, bringing them down. She shot like a machine, very fast and with extre precision.

One after another, the horses ca down, but soon her arrows finished, and Aric stepped in. He used roots to impale the horses in their legs and areas that would take them down but not kill them.

The n were all tossed from their horses, landing roughly, so breaking bones from the impact.

Andrew stood with his sword drawn, ready to take on Gorin. Gorin looked down at Andrew. He raised his blade and then slashed down. Andrew imdiately blocked. The impact of the blow pushed him back. He tumbled backward but got on his feet imdiately.

"You are not strong enough to stop , human. I’ll make your death quick," Gorin said and took a few steps toward Andrew.

Andrew suddenly charged from the ground, his sword stabbing for Gorin’s eyes. Gorin took a step back and parried the sword, and then he slashed down again to cleave Andrew in half.

Andrew saw the blade. He planted his feet as deep into the ground as possible, twisting his body in an unusual way. He managed to parry the attack and save himself.

"If I impress the Baron, he might allow to train to be a knight, so there’s no way I’ll be dying at the hand of a goblin," Andrew said with all his resolve.

Gorin didn’t care about what Andrew said. He went in for another attack, the slash targeting Andrew’s head. Andrew blocked the attack, but the blow this ti was much stronger and sent him flying.

Aric was on the other side of the moat watching this happen. The n that could stand rose to their feet, wanting to aid Andrew, but the shaman was ready as well. He hurled fireballs at the humans, turning them into human fire sticks.

Screams and wails filled the air, but so n managed to make it to the shaman. They leaped over the moat, so falling into the mud only to be ripped apart by the hobgoblins inside, while so made it across.

They attacked the shaman, and imdiately their swords soon got to the shaman. After he put up a good struggle, he managed to take down close to half of them before he was killed.

Gorin, on the other hand, was still tossing Andrew around. Andrew gave everything to block the attacks, pushing himself as hard as he could.

"How did this even happen? It wasn’t supposed to. Where the hell did those humans even co from? I want answers," Aric said.

"They ought to have been in the forest for so reason, and when they saw an army of goblins, they decided to check it out," Ariel said.

"Well, they got what they looked for. Now they are getting killed," he said casually. He turned to see the rest of the humans, and they were running in his direction now that they had dealt with the shaman.

Aric also noticed that the Baron was back on his feet. His fall had been heavy; it took a lot of ti for him to get back on his feet.

"Take care of their master. I’ll take care of the humans," Ariel said. She pulled her blade, and a green fla erupted around it. Aric felt her power increase right before his eyes, and he was shocked. Had she been hiding her power all this ti? Sadly, this was not the ti for questions. He needed to get the Baron.

"Try not to kill them all," Aric said before he ran and jumped over the moat, glancing down at the struggling goblins.

He landed on the other side and walked to the Baron with steady steps that exuded caution and confidence. The Baron saw Aric and imdiately pulled his sword, pointing it at Aric.

"You, those ears, you are an elf. No, your ears are too short. What are you?" the Baron asked.

"Hi, nice to et you. My na is Aric, or do they not teach you courtesy where you co from?" Aric asked.

"I owe you no greeting, not after you killed my n," Fredrick said.

"I’ll be honest, you are simply a third party that ca into a perfectly working plan. Your n rode in recklessly, without regard for what was happening here, and now you have been caught in the battle," Aric said.

"You are one of the monsters that live in this forest. You all should be under the will of humans. It doesn’t matter what happens here. When word reaches the duke, he will send a force to destroy you all," Fredrick said.

"Why do you keep jumping to the end of a discussion from the middle? I just told you what you did and why it had affected it, and rather than ask for a solution, you are making threats. Do you really think I have the ti of day to waste on you?" Aric asked. He pulled out his sword and pointed it at the Baron.

"Since you seek so eagerly for a fight that you literally jumped into one, then co. I’ll make it worth your while," Aric said. As he spoke, he used Appraisal.

Ariel charged into battle with the flaming sword. Her speed was faster than the n could react to. Wherever she passed through, the n collapsed to the ground, their tendons cut cleanly to remove their ability to move.

She moved fast and precisely, gliding through the midst of the enemies easily. The n imdiately saw that they were fighting a losing battle. The rest of them tried to retreat.

Unexpectedly, one of them had an explosion talisman. He used it in that instant, activating it with mana and leaving it on the ground as they retreated. Ariel, who had no idea of this, stepped on the talisman.
