Gorin leaped back a few ters as several roots reached for him. Almost falling into the moat, he stopped himself and then charged in at Aric.

Aric wanted to use Appraisal on Gorin to see his strength and other stats, but Gorin was not allowing him to do so.

Aric would have been able to fight a lot better here if he was fighting to kill, but he didn’t want to seriously harm him.

As Gorin charged in, roots shot out of the ground and swung at him. He used his sword to cut through it, but it grew back instantly and grabbed his wrist, tossing him high into the air.

More roots shot out of the ground, chasing after him. He spun in the air and used his sword to cut through them.

He landed, but the roots didn’t stop chasing after him. Gorin stomped his feet on the ground, and several earth pillars shot up and surrounded him, blocking off all the roots.

Gorin then broke the pillars into smaller shards and shot them at Aric, but he dodged them easily. Aric might not have used Appraisal on Gorin, but he could tell without a doubt that he was stronger than Gorin.

Gorin saw how freely Aric fought. He began to think that Aric was toying with him. That enraged Gorin. He attacked with more vigor, roaring as he ran.

"It doesn’t matter how strong you look. At the end of the day, you are still nothing but a hobgoblin, and honestly, you lack the intelligence to make use of your full strength," Aric said in a cold tone. Roots shot out from all directions, shooting toward Gorin.

But in that mont, the goblins made it through the dark, slid on the ice, and fell into the moat. This ended up distracting Aric and Gorin.

For the brief mont Aric was distracted, a huge fireball was hurled at him. It slamd into his chest and sent him flying.

This also dispelled the roots and kept Gorin safe. The female shaman had been the one to attack, as she and the other shaman didn’t fall into the moat.

When Ariel saw Aric get hit, rage flashed in her eyes. She leaped from the tree she was in. The darkness had been removed, and she ran straight, leaping over the moat.

The female shaman saw her in the air and tried to use a spell, but Ariel was faster. She had already strung her bow while in the air. The tip of her arrow exploded in a deep green fla. She shot the arrow without hesitation.

Gorin saw the arrow headed for the shaman, and he moved to save her, but he was too late. The arrow hit the ground and exploded with a massive green flas explosion, throwing Gorin a few ters away while obliterating the shaman.

Ariel landed and ran to check on Aric. She knelt beside him and started checking on him. "Aric, Aric," she called out his na.

"I’m fine," he said, opening his eyes. He had already healed himself from the burn wound.

"Don’t scare like that," she said. He smiled and pushed himself off the ground. He stared at Gorin and the male shaman.

"I thought this would be a harder battle, to be honest, but it wasn’t," Aric said.

"This battle is far from over. Do you believe the both of you can stop us?" Gorin asked.

"Uhm, yes, and also, if we couldn’t stop you, we still had enough people to help. Take a look around." Aric pointed across the moat. Gorin looked there and saw all of Aric’s goblins standing with shields and swords, bows, and arrows.

"While you and I were battling, my goblins had already moved, scaring your n into the moat with the sound of weapons and arrows.

It’s a sha. I expected that your shamans would have better control over the goblins and at least make so not jump into the moat. But you believed that if you killed , you had won the war. There’s no more winning for you anymore. Give up," Aric said. He pointed his sword at Gorin.

"It seems we heavily underestimated the enemy that we ca to fight. Not only were we outsmarted, but you are also stronger than us. Normally, I would admit defeat, but I’d rather die than give up to an elf like you," Gorin said. He was about to charge in again in a suicide attack, but the sound of hooves coming pulled all attention.

"What’s happening?" Aric asked. He looked in the direction of the sound. After a few seconds, he saw the horse of the Baron first, followed by fifty others.

Seeing this shocked Aric. Why was there a small human army headed their way? Gorin saw the horses and the humans, and imdiately his expression changed.

"Humans," he said in a low tone.

"What could they be doing here?" Aric asked.

The shaman suddenly faced the incoming humans and raised his staff, creating fireballs and firing them at the humans.

The fireballs caused explosions and threw n off their horses while so rode through it.

"Ron, retreat everyone back into the camp and shut the doors," Aric gave an imdiate order. Ron wanted to be here to fight, but he had to follow the order.

He and all the goblins jumped across the moat and headed back in.

Gorin locked eyes with the leader of the humans. Gorin leaped into the air and went for an attack. Aric was shocked. Wasn’t Gorin about to fight them?

Andrew, who was riding behind the Baron, saw Gorin. He pulled his sword out and jumped off his horse. He blocked the attack.

Andrew’s arm trembled under the attack. He didn’t believe a goblin would have such strength, but regardless, he was going to protect the Baron.

Aric watched what was happening. He decided to take away the horses from the equation first. "Ariel, target the horses and take them down," he gave the order. She imdiately pulled her bow and strung an arrow. She fired, and the first horse she shot was that of the Baron.
