*GROWL!

*RUSTLE!

*SNAP!

*GROWL!

It was nightti and the crescent moon had cast its light on the vast forestland.

Making their way through the forest, having spread out to reduce casualties or much rather, save their skins. About twenty beasts could be seen, all being from the sa pack.

Their furs were brown, their sizes large with a height reaching six feet. On their left eyes were scars, not obtained in a battle or anything. For they were born with it, thus giving them the na— Scar Wolves.

Currently, these wolves, known for their brutish combative styles and powerful fangs were no longer the Predators. Each mber of this pack, had its fur standing on end. Their instincts scread for them to do exactly what had decided to do— run. None of them had caught a glimpse of the enemy, yet from the mighty alpha to the weak plaything of an oga. All of them had felt it— a murderous intent. One so strong, that they now seed like a deer eager to hold on to the thinnest thread of life without ever letting go.

*WHOOSH!

*WHOOSH!

*RUSTLE!

ters away, their preys almost disappearing from their line of view. Three figures all shrouded in dark clothings and gears, as the swords and bow weren’t spared either.

The one at the center held a bow in hand, a quiver strapped to the back and carrying no other weapon except that. To the left of that figure, two swords had been drawn out with it’s blades dark in colour. At the right, a similar dark bladed sword was held by the figure. However, a clear difference could be seen as the figure had a single sword. It was a great sword, having both hands gripping on it while also moving from tree to tree with ease.

"What did you say?!!" A hand held the neck of a knight in white and gold armour, pinning him to a wooden post in the stables.

"Let go of , Dan! Let... go" The knight’s face was reddening by the second, his face angled down with eyes fixed on his attacker. Despite his pleas, the other didn’t seem to have heard a single word. As he was slowly lifted, the grip around the neck tightened with his breath shortening.

"Da– Dan... Let...go... ple..." At this point, placing life and pride on a scale, his pride as a knight was losing out.

’He’s enhancing his grip with energy— I’d die if this continues.’

"Ple–ase...Dan... plea." Thus, he’d taken the best choice to shove it away and beg for dear life, and this was what seemingly confird his words for Dan.

*THUD!

He dropped down, after the hand left his neck, failing to land right on his butt, the bundle of hay below showing a real pain in the—

*THUD!

Rubbing his neck softly, still feeling pains there, sothing had fell and it wasn’t him of course. Looking forward, he noticed what or rather who had fallen— Dan himself.

"Tav."

"Tav."

"Tav." Non-stop, he continuously mumbled with his eyes full of nothing but disbelief.

’How? Why? Who? When?’ He had no answer to that, the comrade before him unable to give him the answers he wanted. ’He just died, beheaded by Kaleb, for treason?’ The words were totally made up in every way, being the last thing he’d believe.

However, the Pride Of A Knight wasn’t sothing one would keep to protect the truth. Yes, for knights would die than accept they had lied, even though they had. That was how strong they held onto that pride of theirs— obtained from hard work and bloodshed.

*CREAK!

The door behind him slid open.

*YAWN!

Awakening after falling unconscious and adding up with a long sleep also, Colin could be seen as he stepped out of the cabin.

’Where’s Dan and—’ He suddenly recalled what had happened earlier, goosebumps setting in.

"Dan, the ta—" From the corners of his eyes, he noticed soone and as his gaze shifted down, Colin froze.

’What’s going on here?’ Two figures were seated on the ground in silence, both face down with one slightly redder than usual. His eyes shifted between both of them, as he tried to assess the situation.

"Colin?" The knight had noticed him standing there, being lost in thought but not as far gone as his comrade was.

"Oh, it’s you, Krug." He hadn’t recognized the knight earlier, being the dayti guard at his post during the night.

"Colin." The casual smile of seeing a comrade disappeared almost imdiately. For no one had to tell him the change in tone and atmosphere was a re coincidence.

"Colin, it’s about Tav— he’s dead."

"Hahahaha, can you believe this guy? Dan, he’s saying Tav is dead— hah, do better Krug. Hahaha!" If anyone got easily affected by his laughs, being a contagious one, then that would be Dan. Yet, there was nothing from him, he hadn’t even seed to notice him there.

"No... no... Dan, no." He walked towards him, dropping to his knees, his eyes welling up. "Dan! Tell he’s lying! Tell , Dan!!" Colin was shaking him as he spoke, receiving no response, Dan staring down at the ground without even blinking.

"No, you’re both lying— no, no!!" Kicking himself on the ground away from both of them, as if now afraid of them. He stood up and dashed away through the stables, running as fast as he could. When—

*BAM!

He bumped into sothing hard, falling back on the ground and as he looked up, the tears broke out. "Ral, do you know the trash I was told?!"

"Tav is dead."

*SMASH!

That was how the words had hit him, breaking everything in his brain and short-circuiting it. He just sat there, the tears overflowing and gushing out without seeming to end.

"Ta- Ta- Tav? Noooo!!"

"Tav!!!"

•••••••••••••

*WHOOSH!

The three figures were closing the distance between themselves and the pack of wolves. The middle one, drew out an arrow from his quiver, lighting it up with his sliver aura.

Nocking the bow, the other two, manipulating more energy to the feet pounced on a branch and propelled into the air. The middle one also doing the sa while drawing the string, was also soon in the air.

"Tav, forgive for not saving you." An image of Tav’s body with his head placed near his neck as he was placed in a makeshift casket ca to his mind. Releasing the arrow while in the air, the other two shared the sa thoughts as him.

"For Tav!"

"For Tav!"

"For Tav!"
