anwhile, back at the hospital, after helping Delyth in her room, Ryan didn't stay for long. Closing the door after him, he was about to turn and leave when a voice halted him in his tracks.
"So, this is where you have been busy recently?"
Ryan turned to look only to find Catrin standing there with a disappointed face. She slowly walked closer to him and then glanced behind him. Through the glass, she could see Delyth resting inside.
"You are running here every day, taking care of this insignificant woman when you should instead be thinking of the ways to get back Arwen in your life." Catrin had tried calling Ryan a few tis, but every ti he had either ignored her call or made soone else relay the ssage that he was busy. "What are you thinking, Ryan? Is this what you ant when you said that you were serious about Arwen this ti? Is this how you prove that you are serious about her?"
Ryan pinched the space between his brows and slowly said, "What are you doing here, Aunt Catrin?"
"What am I doing here?" Catrin repeated, scoffing a little. "Do I even have to explain why I am here today? Fine, if that's what you want," she paused and then said through the grit of her teeth. "Of course, I am here because I couldn't find you anywhere else. That's why I ca here because recently I heard this is the place that you have started frequenting."
Catrin was already losing her patience. Not just because Ryan wasn't doing anything, but because how she had presud the things to happen weren't happening.
When she asked Arwen to leave the house and the family, she thought she would refuse to do so. But not only did Arwen leave the house, she never returned.
She blocked her cards, thinking that this would make Arwen realize her mistake. But until today she didn't see Arwen regretting the decision that was clearly made without giving much thought. She never returned or called to show her regret.
Catrin feared that if this continued like this, she would lose Arwen as Idris had warned her. And there was no way she could lose her daughter. Arwen was her daughter and would always remain hers. She would do everything to bring her back to her life.
And at this point, only Ryan seed like the most suitable option.
Ryan on the other hand hadn't expected Catrin to co all the way looking for him. He hasn't been ignoring her. It was just that he no longer was sure what he should do to get Arwen back in his life. He wanted her back, but now he wasn't sure if she truly wanted to co back to him. She looked so content and happy in her current life, that he could envision himself in her future.
"What, Ryan?" Catrin probed when she did hear Ryan speaking up even after she ranted out so much. Her brow drew together in a frown. "Are you even going to speak or should I just conclude that all that you said to was your montary desire and nothing else?"
"It wasn't a montary desire," Ryan snapped as if he couldn't bear to hear his emotion being called that. But when he realized that his sudden snap had garnered other people's attention around, he softened his tone to explain. "When I said I am serious about Arwen and the engagent plan that we once said, I was serious. It wasn't so montary thing for ."
Catrin's face didn't show any hint of empathy. She just gave him a look that held doubt. "Really?" she asked. "Well, your attitude is saying sothing else, son. You didn't seem bothered at all that my daughter had left you. Instead, who you are actually concerned for is that woman resting inside."
She said and her voice ca more brutal than it should. Or, maybe it felt more brutal because Arwen's cold attitude has left him devastated; for he didn't get the chance to explain himself to her. Or maybe because once again his gesture towards Delyth has deepened the already existing misunderstanding between them.
No matter what it was he felt worse inside. To the point that he wanted to get down and drink all his regrets away.
"Aunt Catrin," he slowly said, his emotional turmoil weighing him down. "I don't think this is the right ti or place to talk about this. Let's go sowhere else."
With that, he didn't stay rooted to his place anymore. Instead, he resud walking towards the exit.

While back at Winslow Estate, Arwen and Gianna have returned back ho. Although the conversation from before hadn't helped them solve anything, it did bring in a different perspective that made Arwen think more about it.
She understood what Gianna ant. A 'tit' was actually impossible for 'tat'. But if Delyth was saying that all that had happened was Arwen's way of getting the revenge then there must be sothing that Delyth must have done to her.
But if there was sothing, what was it?
Could it be sothing related to Ryan?
Gianna, who sat beside Arwen was as solemn as her. She was also trying to figure out the sa. Suddenly sothing stuck her and she turned to Arwen, recalling to confirm, "Wenna, on the day of your accident, a car was chasing after yours. They were intentionally there to harm you."
As Arwen heard Gianna ntion that, she rembered the night when she was tailgated down the road. The mory of that night still sent shivers to her bones. That was the day when she saw death standing right in front of her. If there wouldn't have been an accident, then she was sure those n would have anyway found a way or the other to kill her.
"They were following and had deliberately made take 17 Cross Road. I felt it was their intention before they had blocked all the other ways through which I could have easily escaped." She narrated the understanding she had from the incident. "So, I deduced that it was a part of their plan. But I can't be very sure of it."
"Then do you think it could be possible that Delyth was behind it," Gianna asked, hesitating. Although she said that connecting a few dots that she felt getting connected, it was a big accusation that she didn't want to make on a whim.
