Arwen blinked. She thought she was the one in the lead this ti but never knew he could take the charge in one swift move. Her breath hitched as she stared into his eyes.
Aiden raised one brow. "What? Won't you?" he asked pulling her closer, their faces just inches apart. But before Aiden could make another move on her, Arwen pulled away, creating distance between them.
Scooting away a little, she cleared her throat. "I was just saying I would be happy to do things that would make you happy. Because you are my husband. Nothing more. What's there to repeat? It's so easy to understand, isn't it?"
"Is it?" Aiden smirked. "Because last when I checked understanding one's heart wasn't that easy. But since you have understood it so easily, I don't think it was so difficult."
Arwen narrowed her eyes at him but the blush that crept up her cheeks betrayed her. "Aren't you reading too much into a simple thing, husband? I just reminded you of your rights over ."
"Just knowing that you are ready to give those rights ans more than the world, Moon. If you don't know it, you don't know about your privileges and authorities. And knowing them will only help you expand your benefits and avoid the losses."
Arwen mock glared at him for using her words at her but he didn't seem to mind. Reaching out, he cupped her cheeks, letting his thumb caress her skin. "Thank you for giving these rights, Moon."
"Does it really an so much to you?" Arwen asked, not believing it.
But Aiden didn't mind it. He would have before but now, he didn't. "More than the whole fu*king world, I told you."
Arwen's breath hitched but she didn't remain caught up in that mont for long. Clearing her throat, she said, "But I thought it was pretty normal. Didn't you also give full right over you?" She tried to put that as if it was pretty normal, but she still rembered the day when he had explicitly given her the right over him. Though it might sound like an exaggeration, however that day she felt like she was given the authority of the world. The feeling was so overwhelming that she wasn't able to process it for a few seconds.
"If you still have a doubt there, then it ans I haven't made you feel that yet", Aiden said, his fingers moving, slowly on her silky hair.
Before eting him, Arwen thought she could control her concentration well with her years of rigorous training, but this man …this man had all the little ways to distract her. Even a small touch as caressing her hair can get her undone.
"Possibly, you didn't," she said. And Aiden raised his brows at her, before nodding in understanding.
"Okay, then tell how can I make you feel it then?"
Arwen stared at him. His eyes were as sincere and as promising as ever. She could tell that as long as she asked him he would tell her everything —promise her everything. "How about you start by telling about yourself —your history and your family that I have yet to et?"
Aiden paused at that. His expression shifted —not subtly but evidently. Arwen glanced at him and just when he was about to back out, she grabbed his hand, not letting him leave.
"Aiden, I am your wife. Don't you think I deserve to know my husband's family?" she said, but Aiden avoided looking at her.
Seeing his reluctance, she reached out for his face and turned him to look at her. "For how long are you planning to shut out of this topic, husband? We plan to spend a lifeti together which ans sooner or later, I will learn it all. Why not then just make it sooner?"
Aiden's brows furrowed but he no longer avoided looking at her. Glancing at her, he asked, "Is it important for you?"
The reluctance and pain were clear in his gaze. She knew it was hurting him, and seeing him in pain was hurting her even more. However, she also understood that if she didn't learn this part of him now, she might unknowingly hurt him in the future —perhaps not just once, but repeatedly. To avoid that possibility, she was willing to endure the pain today, no matter the consequences.
Nodding, she humd. "It's important," she said. "Knowing your past and family will make know a part of you. Of course, it's important." She then cupped his face and said, "I don't know when and I don't know how, but you have beco soone really important to , Aiden. Anything that's related to you is important."
Aiden stared at her for a long mont, his expression unreadable. Arwen looked at him and insisted, "You can share it with , husband. I won't judge you. To , even the ugliest part of you would be beautiful, no matter what."
Aiden didn't need her to tell him that. He knew it well. He knew she wouldn't judge him, even for the worst. She never did in the past and she would never do in the future too, and that's what made her beautiful the most beautiful one among all.
She might have forgotten, but he didn't. He rembers it all. He would never forget her kindness, her love, her trust that she had shown to him when no one else did.
"Aiden, I —" she began, willing to persuade him one more ti, but before she could, Aiden spoke up, willing to tell her all that she wanted to learn —about him and his past.
"Alright," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "I will tell you all that you want to know. But even before telling you all, Moon, I want you to know this —while the Winslow na carries pride and power, it ans nothing to . I am not a part of that family, and I never will be."
