36: Chapter 36: Signing the Contract 36: Chapter 36: Signing the Contract “Why should I trust you?” Violet lifted her wrist, dropping the parchnt scroll open, the side inscribed with notes now faced Villes.

If he could understand what was written on it, then he was certainly no human, but an outright demon.

Villes made it seem quite simple verbally, but in reality, no one could comprehend the content written on the scroll.

On this scroll resided not just black magic, but also nurous chaotic illustrations, each acting as an important work of art.

These illustrations were the terms Villes was referring to.

A decapitated man, hanging upside down on a cross, with a blazing fire in the sky, and a wheel used for execution drenched in blood.

The content, unknowingly written with either ink or so extrely vicious, corrupt substance, felt as though it revealed forbidden knowledge at a re glance.

This was not the language of humans, nor of demons.

The energy it exuded, when combined with magic, ford an extrely vicious curse.

No human could understand what was recorded on it, yet they would grasp what those words ant.

It was a greeting from the demons, hunters greeting their prey.

Usually, the final outco is far from sothing to celebrate.

Violet showed this to Villes, her words not so much of an interrogation, yet enough to flush Villes’ pale old face with an inexplicable blush.

He had forgotten, humans couldn’t understand the written language of the vampires!

The contents of the contract were presented in abstract illustrations filled with artistic flair.

At first glance, the scroll seed sared with haphazard and crude graffiti, but anyone who delved deeper could sense sothing was off.

Whether it was the positions of the people within the paintings or the rather unreasonable phenona, the clouds flowing on the ground and the water drifting in the sky, it felt as though they held so mysterious symbolism.

“My apologies, I’m powerless to help.” Villes frowned, eventually sighing and saying.

Was he really supposed to teach Violet how to read and learn the language of the vampires, the Blood Clan?

That’s impossible.

The Blood Clan’s ancient language, Violet would never be able to learn it even if she devoted her entire life.

He also didn’t wish to inform Violet of the traps hidden in the vampire language, thus it would be a predicant.

Unable to provide an answer, he chose silence and Violet watched his expressions, sensing the unusual elents within.

Then, she nonchalantly signed her na onto the scroll using magic.

This caught Villes off guard.

Although he knew that, even if she couldn’t comprehend the content on the scroll, Violet would still sign the contract for Black Crow Castle.

However, he didn’t expect that Violet would be so sincere and decisive.

Having signed her na, Violet threw the scroll back to Villes.

The glow of the magic not fading at that mont.

Only when the light dissipating, left with the black mark of corrosion caused by magic, would Violet’s delicate handwriting and her na remain on it forever.

Violet St.

Roxbury.

It was a rare na, no, not rare, but seldom used.

Only beings that worship the Supre Creator God would embed ‘St’ into their nas.

Roxbury seed a familiar term to Villes, he had a hunch that he has encountered or at least heard it sowhere before.

It was sothing that would never be forgotten, branded in his mind, seed to have happened long ago and yet felt like it happened just yesterday.

He always vaguely recollected he has co across this term.

Such a situation was not common, especially for the Blood Clan, leading him to inadvertently sink into contemplation and recollect his thoughts.

Doing this made him realize that he had never seen it in any docunts before, he had only heard it once.

But this was sufficient enough to recollect so disagreeable things.

Usually, when this term appeared, it was inevitably accompanied by scenes of grueso killings.

Was it the killings and bloodshed that made him rember this term?

Villes fell into deep distress.

However, ti wouldn’t wait for him to think, under Violet’s awaiting gaze, he didn’t have too long to ponder over it, so he could only drop the matter.

Afterwards, he carelessly signed his na onto the scroll and carefully stored it.

If he had had more ti and was more attentive, he would’ve realized the true aning behind the term.

What it represented was not rely scenes of bloodshed but the presence of a supre invincible being.

The truth was, what Violet had written was her ‘real na’.

She used her divine status to protect herself in case the curse within the scroll was too powerful.

The reason why Villes couldn’t contemplate the term properly was due to him only hearing it once, when the na of the Supre Creator who had destroyed demons was spread.

Violet being a divine being used her divine status to resist the onslaught of the demon’s curse would naturally use a na that every demon would fear just by a glance.

In doing so, no matter how cruel the covenant imposed on the constrainee was, they wouldn’t be able to fulfil it unless the creature who wrote the scroll was capable of defeating Violet’s divine status.

This was the real reason why Violet didn’t hesitate to sign her na.

At this very mont, the scroll was being slowly corroded by her na, a slow but irreversible process.

In the process, the black magic and malevolent texts on the scroll would get baptized, just like by holy light.

“Now that I’ve done my part, so next…” Violet trailed off, waiting for the other to carry on.

“Next, let’s go to Black Crow Castle to complete the rest of the affairs.” Villes added.

This contract was just a ans of purchasing her, it doesn’t denote that the Black Crow Castle was automatically hers, hence he still had a lot to do next.

But at this mont, Violet folded her arms and wore a hesitant look on her face.

She wasn’t truly hesitant, she was just playing this card in front of Villes.

Seeing this, Villes asked in confusion, “Is there a problem?”
