ch8: Garbage Star

After Ge Xiu left, several other adjutants also left with their own orders and the captain’s cabin door closed automatically behind them.

The huge captain’s room instantly beca quiet, the tal walls reflected cold light.

The young general who drove with Ge Xiu on the light warship stepped forward and reported what he had seen on Leibert, including Ge Xiu’s bold words implying that he wanted to blackmail them.

Lulai walked to the command table, looking at the huge star map floating in front of him, he suddenly corrected:

”Leviathan.”

His voice was low and calm and the officer was stunned for two seconds before he realized the other party was correcting na of the ship. He sighed and nodded slightly:

”Yes.”

So, in the next report, he reported that exterior armour of Leviathan has been damaged in more than 40%.

When the report was over, Lulai turned his head to look at him. The blue light of the galaxy map was printed on the bottom of his eyes and it made them look more and more like a frozen lake:

”Satisfy his requirents as much as possible.”

The general was a little surprised. He raised his eyes and looked at Lulai: “But…”

But when he ca into contact with Lulai’s emotionless look, he couldn’t help but feel terrified, his back straightened and he lowered his head again: “This subordinate spoke too much.”

Lulai lowered his eyes, looking unpredictable:

”Hall, how do you think he won?”

Hall hesitated for a mont and then replied slowly and carefully: “Alliance army underestimated their enemy and they hadn’t done what they should have done when detecting the enemy in advance. The commander made a mistake in his judgnt.”

Luley shook his head: “This is why the alliance failed, not why he won.”

Hall thought for a while and finally replied with so frustration: “…This subordinate is incompetent. “

Lulai turned his head to look at the tal shards floating outside the porthole and slowly narrowed his eyes:

”He is a master at manipulating the enemy’s emotions.”

This was the first ti he’s given such a high evaluation of soone and Hall couldn’t help being taken aback. He raised his head in surprise.

”From the provocation at the beginning, to the later layout, luring out the enemy, counterattack and finally to the fatal blow, everything was carefully manipulated. The enemy’s emotions are his weapon. The interlocking traps lead the enemy into the trap, until the final victory that is already within reach is taken.”

Lulai didn’t seem to be displeased, but Hall still couldn’t help but feel cold sweat on his back.

Even so, he was still a little unconvinced: “However, once the commander recovered from it or if he abided by the established regulations he could only be wiped out.”

”If it was you, would you dare to face elite of the Alliance with only this crew and equipnt?”

”…”

Hall was silent.

Lulai said unhurriedly: “There is nothing more terrifying than a gambler who is strategic and crazy enough.”

He looked at Hall aningfully:

”So, why do you think he said sothing like that in front of you?”

Hall no longer took it light and frivolous now. After careful consideration, he cautiously told Lulai his answer: “He wants to tell you this sentence and express himself through this action. There is no more threat to it.”

Lulai declined to comnt, but once again turned his head to look at the huge galaxy map floating in front of him. The line of his lower jaw was sharp and cold, as if it had been chiselled in ice.

Hall boldly raised his head: “Then…what are you going to do with him next?”

Unknowingly, he couldn’t help but use the honorific title while speaking about Ge Xiu.

Lulai stood in front of the porthole with his hands on the back, and the glimr of the galaxy outside the window was imprinted on his stern side face, revealing from his bones a sense of oppression that had been accumulated after a long ti of killing:

”If it could be used by , of course it’d for the best.”

His silver-blue eyes didn’t have any extra emotional ups and downs, as calm and unpredictable as the sea, and his voice was low and indifferent: “If it doesn’t work, we have no reason to keep troubleso people with us.”

Hall shivered and lowered his head.

Lulai turned around:

”Let’s go and see him.”

Ge Xiu was led to a separate ship cabin. The lines here were visibly not as cold as those in the captain’s cabin and the decoration was more retro and soft.

There were many kinds of food on the table, the workmanship was exquisite and the whole room is full of rich and attractive fragrance.

Now, nutrient solution has beco the main energy supplent thod. It’s cheap and easy to carry. It has beco the hard currency on warships. However, the price of cooking and food preservation has beco higher for fresh dishes. It ant that only rchants with higher social status or nobles had the conditions to enjoy it on the ship.

The food was carefully divided into small doses to prevent the hungry Ge Xiu from eating too fast, which would harm his body instead.

But what the person who arranged the food didn’t expect was that Ge Xiu only ate a little bit, stopped after half a full al, pushed the bowl aside and began to observe the facilities in the entire cabin enthusiastically.

At this mont, the hatch slid open silently and a pair of long legs wrapped in black military pants stepped in.

Lulai’s gaze swept across the table and finally fixed on Ge Xiu who was sitting at the table. The pair of silver-blue eyes was bottomless: “Why not eat? Isn’t it appetizing?”

Ge Xiu swayed his thin legs on the high chair and shrugged indifferently:

”No, it’s all good.”

Lulai stopped at the table and his slender, pale fingers lifted a stack of delicate pastry from the end of the table. The pastry was then gently placed in front of Ge Xiu, and the silver plate hit the table with a crisp sound: “Try this.”

Ge Xiu raised his eyebrows unexpectedly, but still took the silver spoon and dug a corner from the thick cream-covered soft pastry, tasted it and praised it politely:

”It’s delicious.”

Imdiately afterwards, he put down the spoon indifferently.

The silver spoon knocked on the edge of the porcelain plate and made a “ding” sound.

Lulai’s pale golden eyelashes hung down and he carefully examined his expression:

”Why, don’t you like sweets?”

Although it was an interrogative sentence his tone was sure.

Ge Xiu tilted his head slightly, frowning, as if thinking about an extrely profound philosophical question and after a while he replied:

”Neither.”

He looked down and lifted the edge of the silver spoon, using his fingertips to casually gently rub the cold and smooth surface of the tal, his slim fingerbones wrapped in a thin layer of skin appeared more shocking against the beautiful spoon handle: “Eating is only an energy intake process to ensure physical fitness. Does it have anything to do with the quality of the food?”

The boy’s voice was light and fluttering, as if he didn’t care about anything and nothing mattered to him.

Lulai’s brows subconsciously wrinkled slightly.

He looked at Ge Xiu inquisitively, the eyes under his eyelashes were like flowing pure silver and it took a long ti before he finally retracted his gaze.

Ge Xiu originally thought he was about to start talking about business. He just picked up his attitude, but he did not expect that after Lulai withdrew his hand he took out sothing out of his pocket. When he opened his slender palm there was magically sothing new on it.

A candy.

A high-end candy wrapped in shining foil was not at the sa level as the inferior distributed candy that Ge Xiu took from the forr Leibert. The exquisite packaging shone extrely beautifully and sparkled under the light.

Ge Xiu’s eyes lit up instantly.

He raised his hand, and only halfway through it, he rembered and asked:

”For ?”

Lulai nodded.

Ge Xiu suddenly opened his eyes and smiled. He took the candy, peeled off the candy paper skilfully and then stuffed the sweet scented candy ball into his mouth.

A round piece of his cheeks bulged up and he looked quite funny, his eyes narrowed slightly, like a satisfied cat and even the thin face that was barely beautiful or ugly seed to be three points cute.

Lulai moved his fingertips slightly and then he put hand behind his back without a trace. He said quietly:

”I thought you had no particular preference for sweets.”

Ge Xiu explained eloquently, “Sweets are sweets. Candy is sugar, it’s not the sa.”

Lulai raised his brows: “What’s the difference?”

Ge Xiu was taken aback, he thought for a while, then lowered his eyes, his voice was a bit vague because of the candy: “… …I can’t tell.”

He shrugged straightforwardly and boldly: “It’s different anyway.”

Lulai was almost amused by this savage rascal.

He curled up his lips and the suppressed killing intent and sharpness on his body was diminished with this smile: “If you like it, wait a mont for to ask Hall to send you all of the inventory on board.”

Ge Xiu suddenly showed a bright smile in front of him: “Okay! Thank you, sir!”

Lulai felt his fingertips were itchy again.

So, he turned away his gaze, pulled the chair by the table and sat down and changed the subject naturally:

”Why do you call sir? Do you know I am?”

From the beginning of the eting, this kid has only called him “sir”.

Other refugees from the barren planet may not be clear, but Lulai didn’t believe that this thin boy in front of him wouldn’t know that Lulai Sivir has resigned from the Alliance three years ago and all his honours and duties had been discarded. Up to now, he has beco the most wanted criminal in the entire Alliance and the biggest threat to the enemy. It was really inappropriate for him to use this honorific title for Alliance officials.

The corners of Ge Xiu’s lips drew bigger and his dark eyes fixedly stared at the tall and dangerous man in front of him. The childish and innocent elents on his face seed to disappear instantly, like a cold and gorgeous venomous snake hunting and spitting out his tongue in a dark forest, chilling and terrifying.

He licked the sugar ball in his mouth and said lightly.

”Is it, depending on whether you want it.”

Lulai looked back at him calmly, his deep silver-blue eyes calm and unpredictable:

“Oh?”

”If you don’t want to, relying on your fleet’s strength, it’s more than enough to be a happy free man in this vast star field, in that case word ”sir” was my mistake and I apologize to you.”

Ge Xiu still had a sweet smile on his lips and he gently moved the silver spoon on the plate with his fingertips, making it jingle, “But… if you want to, it’s very much possible.”

Lulai’s complexion remained unchanged, but there was an unpredictable and hard to grasp emotion on Lulai’s cold face:

”Do you think I’d do it?”

Ge Xiu didn’t talk around the topic anymore. He put his elbow on the table, with his bulging cheek stuffed with sweet candy, and curled up his mouth:

”Otherwise, would Marshal, God of War, who is above 10,000 people in the Alliance not do it?”

Ge Xiu blinked slyly at Lulai, his voice soft and low, like a sinful whisper beside his pillow: “How can you not invite to do such a fun thing?”

Lulai stared at him steadily, with an indifferent calmness in his expression.

Ge Xiu looked back not evading in the slightest.

The next second, the tall man suddenly leaned over, put his hand on the back of his head and rubbed it vigorously.

Ge Xiu really didn’t expect it this ti.

He was stunned by all the rubbing, with his ssed up hair, his face blank and dazed: “…Ehhhhhh?”

The author has sothing to say:

Today’s author is still very cold.

But you have to give a little enthusiasm! ! ! Otherwise I will sit here and not leave! ! do you know! !
