"My matters have nothing to do with her. Just tell her that."
Jiang Qin typed out a line using the physical keyboard and hit send.
Wang Huiru was left baffled. "Jiang Qin, do you have so deep-seated grudge against Chu Siqi? Even as classmates, it's normal to ask about each other's scores. You don't have to be like this all the ti."
"What's wrong with ?"
"You're being petty!"
Jiang Qin beca more adept with the physical keyboard as he typed, "If I'm petty, then I am. Let her think what she wants."
Wang Huiru sent an ellipsis, "Jiang Qin, Chu Siqi isn't wrong. It's her right to reject you, but you can still be friends even if you can't be lovers."
"Why though?"
Jiang Qin switched to one-handed typing, "She just thinks that the whole world should love her, that everyone should bend over backward for her. Whatever she says goes, and no one can go against her. I don't want to be friends with soone like that. It's annoying, really annoying."
Wang Huiru remained silent for a while. "I know Siqi can be a bit arrogant, but isn't that part of her charm?"
"Being a bit arrogant is fine, but she crosses the line. Like that day on Center Street, ordering not to leave in front of so many people. Who does she think she is? We're not even friends, and she thinks she can stop from leaving. Does she believe the world revolves around her?"
"Why don't you talk to her and ask her to change?"
Jiang Qin furrowed his brow, "Why should I waste my ti on her? If this friendship doesn't work, I'll find another one. What's wrong with that?"
Wang Huiru's response was noticeably delayed, "There's nothing wrong with it, but are you sure you're not deliberately saying this out of spite because of unrequited love?"
"I've made it clear, and you still think like this? I bet Chu Siqi thinks the sa way, that I'm rejected, and I can't handle it, so I'm playing hard to get."
"I didn't an it that way, Jiang Qin, please don't misunderstand!"
Jiang Qin continued to type on the physical keyboard, "Wang, to be honest, I don't want to say anything more to her. I'm only explaining so much because of you, you know?"
Upon seeing this response, Wang Huiru's heart softened instantly. "Alright, I'll talk to her and ask her not to disturb you for a while."
"It's not for a while, it's forever."
"Jiang Qin, saying it like this is too hurtful. When she rejected you, she left a door open and even encouraged you. Can't you be a bit warr towards her?"
"Damn it, every ti this cos up, I'm speechless. What do you an, 'there's hope if you persist'? How the hell is that encouragent? She doesn't have feelings for ; she just hasn't t soone she genuinely likes yet, so she feels lonely and thinks I can keep her company. When she ets soone she likes, she won't even rember who I am."

"Wang, sotis it's better to be blunt and hurtful with words. It helps cut ties cleanly and prevents both parties from harboring unrealistic fantasies."
Upon reading this ssage, Wang Huiru fell into silence because she suddenly recalled her conversation with Chu Siqi on Center Street.
"Siqi, what will you do if you et soone you truly like in the future?"
"Then I'll definitely choose the one I like. I can't pick Jiang Qin just because he's been persistent, can I?"
She knew Jiang Qin was absolutely right, so she didn't have any grounds to argue and even felt herself leaning toward Jiang Qin's perspective.
"Alright, Jiang Qin, I know what to do now."
"Wang, it's been pleasant chatting with you, but please don't co to again for her matters in the future. I don't want to ruin my mood for the day, alright?"
"I'm sorry."
"It's fine, as long as we're clear."
After ending the conversation, Wang Huiru sighed and her gaze beca sowhat dazed.
Indeed, Jiang Qin seed to have no attachnt left for her best friend, and it had turned into aversion and rejection.
But what about Feng Nanshu? Was she really in a relationship with Jiang Qin? This was a young lady who was chauffeured in a Bentley, a dream girl for countless boys at South City High School. The boys who secretly admired her at school could line up all the way from South City High School to the city center. Yet, Jiang Qin held her face in his hands, and she transford into soone cute and capricious beyond belief. Who would believe such a thing if it were told?
Even Wang Huiru wanted to ask one question: Why? Jiang Qin was good-looking, tall, and academically successful, but she still couldn't believe that he could win over Feng Nanshu.
Feng Nanshu was famously aloof at school, not speaking to anyone and exuding an aura of unapproachable nobility.
Forget about pursuing her; so boys felt a sense of inferiority just by getting close to her. They wondered how they could dare to have such aspirations and if they even knew what they looked like. It just didn't make sense!
Wang Huiru felt that she was increasingly unable to understand Jiang Qin, and then she couldn't help but think about her best friend.
Siqi was still acting haughty and waiting for Jiang Qin to regret, waiting for Jiang Qin to apologize, not knowing that so much had happened in just half a month.
Wang Huiru picked up her phone again, found Chu Siqi's QQ number, and sent her a ssage.
"I just asked Jiang Qin, and he said his matters have nothing to do with you. He told you not to contact him anymore."
"Jerk, how can he say that? Didn't you scold him for ?"
"Siqi, let it go. You've already rejected him; just forget about him."
In a bedroom in a house in Maple Green, Chu Siqi, dressed in pajamas, was infuriated. She threw the career guidance brochure she was holding in her hand forcefully against the opposite wall, and tears welled up in her eyes.
That Jiang Qin, he was angry with himself just because she rejected him! Yes, he succeeded; she was indeed infuriated.
But didn't he suffer all this ti? It was just a matter of pride.
In fact, Chu Siqi had her reasons for asking Wang Huiru to inquire about Jiang Qin's scores. She wanted to give Jiang Qin a way out and hint that he shouldn't compete with her anymore.
