Just as Jeremy was pondering the potential of his creature, a holographic panel appeared above it.

---

Undead Razorfang

???

---

The information on the screen was distorted, filled with question marks.

Jeremy tried to communicate ntally with the skeleton, trying to exploit the strange connection he felt with it, but got no reaction. The creature remained motionless, inert.

"Damn it, how the hell am I supposed to control it?"

As if his words had activated sothing, a dark shadow spread for dozens of ters around the skeleton.

Then, with a burst of energy, the wind picked up, tousling Jeremy's hair and forcing him to cover his face with his hands.

When he opened his eyes again, the skeleton was no longer the sa.

It was now pitch black. Its presence had changed: heavier, denser, as if sothing unnatural had been awakened within it.

"What the hell...?!"

Jeremy's eyes widened as a new pitch-black panel appeared before him.

"What the...what the hell?!"

Jeremy stared incredulously at the panel.

Of all the absurd things he had just read, the one that left him speechless was the Blessing of ??

A ×2 multiplier to all statistics.

Humans had a racial bonus of a asly 1 to every statistic.

And now, before him, was a skeleton that shattered all known logic.

Jeremy swallowed, his heart pounding in his chest.

Then, the sound of a notification woke him from his reverie.

---

Ding

"Na your summoning."

---

"A na..."

"What would be a suitable na for you?" said Jeremy to himself as he squared the skeleton.

It was composed entirely of pitch-black bones. In its eye sockets it had two firesides that seed to flicker with intelligence, as if it were waiting to receive a na from its master.

Its limbs, compared to before evolution, had elongated slightly, making it more beautiful overall. Those fangs protruding from his mouth made him almost cute. And those claws, capable of producing venom, were creepy.

Overall he looked very creepy, but strangely cute.

After a few seconds in contemplation, a na flashed through the boy's mind.

"Drae'mon, your na will be Drae'mon."

"However, I can't give a particular na for every summoning I'll have in the future...whatever, we'll think about it later."

"Now...give your paw."

"..."

Jeremy waited anxiously for the little skeleton to give him a paw-skeletal claw, that is-but nothing.

After standing in place for a few seconds, with an embarrassed smile on his face, Jeremy retracted his hand.

"...I really don't know what to think...maybe I was expecting too much?

Just then, a rustle went through the foliage around the area where Jeremy and Drae'mon were standing.

Then, a whistle of wind seed to pass by the boy, who instinctively turned toward the skeleton's location, only to see no one there.

Then, the sound of a thud was distinctly heard behind the young man, who turned, flustered, only to see a strange scene.

A strange raccoon, with small fangs and tiny claws, had been grabbed by the throat by an ambulate mass of dark bones.

The beast was dead, slain in what appeared to have been a sharp blow.

"10 exp gained"

"???"

Jeremy's expression was full of confusion. Then.

A realization hit his face.

"How could I have forgotten such a big problem!"

Panic crossed his face.

He was no longer in the academy. The last mory he had was of being beaten to a pulp by the minions of an angry nobleman. All because of a girl.

"Jennie," he said with a silly smile on his face. He still seed to be in love with her in spite of everything.

Sothing was different, though. The feeling was not as pronounced as before. It was present, but it seed more nuanced.

As he thought about this, another feeling seed to form in the boy's mind.

Anger.

Anger at being beaten and beaten to death. And finally, just like his friends before, he felt anger toward himself. He hated being weak.

But things would change.

"I will take revenge," an inaudible whisper left the young man's lips.

"I swear."

Another sound shook Jeremy's flood of thoughts.

Then the sound of a notification-

"10 exp gained."

Turning his head toward the sound, Jeremy saw the sa scene as before.

A bony creature had its fangs stuck deep into the body of another raccoon- no, Razorfang.

------------------------

"OK enough with the useless thoughts. I need to figure out where I am, how I ended up here, and most importantly..."

"How to get out."

He looked around, this ti with a focused gaze.

He found himself in what seed to be a dead spot in the gray forest around him.

For a few ters around him there was no vegetation, only rocky, grayish soil with pebbles here and there.

Outside this area was a forest with huge trees and grayish green vegetation that seed to perate every inch of the ground.

The forest was strangely silent, with only faint, indistinct rustling sounds appearing far away.

The air seed thick with sothing.

Blood.

It slled like blood everywhere. Then he realized.

Drae'mon had brutally slaughtered two beasts of his own kind, spilling blood everywhere.

Not even a few seconds after he thought of this...

Swoosh...

Swoosh, swoosh...

a dozen noises resounded all around them.

A pile of Razorfang surrounded the human-skeleton duo.

"What? I can also see their attribute panel in such detail? Great, that's an advantage."

Typically, the system only allowed people to see their stat panel in full detail.

If it was used to analyze other things, such as monsters, you would only get their na, level, and Race. Nothing else.

This advantage had made Jeremy excited, but he could not lose focus.

There were beasts ahead.

They were simple monsters with low potential and a single ability, Bite, which allowed them to deal 110% damage with a bite. However, they compensated for their weakness with numbers.

A total of 14 Razorfang flaunted their fangs at the duo.

Among them, only one looked more threatening and larger.

The combat did not begin imdiately. There were first a series of glances between the two groups.

Drae'mon had not yet acted. He seed cautious. Not because of their strength. The skeleton, despite being lv1, was significantly stronger. He could fight on equal terms even against the enemy leader.
