Capítulo 2104: Chapter 656: Ruthlessness Is a Man’s Virtue (Part 3)

The event of Moon Elves falling to Hainaga occurred during the late stages of the Divine-Demon War. Moore and Drow were exiled to the Underground World long before that, and had they not returned to the Surface World, Moore and Drow would never have heard of such fallen elves as “Naga.” Moreover, there was no prior intersection between both parties, so naturally Lucian’s fallen elves wouldn’t consider this clan hiding in the Underwater World as a primary hypothetical enemy for research.

Lucian going to war with the Naga was unexpected; without Old Liu’s suggestion and the fallen elves deploying troops, Lucian and Naga wouldn’t have clashed at all.

Considering all these little details, when Lucian’s war machine intervened in the battle, everyone thought they couldn’t lose with their large number of super-level magical beasts assisting them. Under such a confident mindset, who among Moore and Drow could calmly study the Naga’s characteristics?

Even if the fallen leaders had the wisdom of Zhuge Liang, they would never have imagined this battle would wipe out a thousand mages!

Mages are the nesis of all troop types; a gathering of a thousand mages would intimidate even the Eight-headed Hell Black Dragon! Moreover, a thousand mages aren’t a thousand blundering idiots; no matter how dire the situation develops, they can choose to fight their way out. There’s no chance all thousand mages would perish completely!

Only Roml’s “Double Winged Battle Formation” combined with Naga’s “Group Silent Spell” could prevent the thousand fallen mages from escaping, leading to such a classic outco!

“With this ruthless move, what country would dare to shelter you in the future?” Finding the other party not responding, Liu Zhankan directly faced Roml, drawing his eyes close to those bloodshot ones: “Tell , what benefits do you gain from doing this?”

“Do I still need others to shelter now?” After a mont of silence, Roml finally spoke, his gaze steadfast like steel, exuding an unwillingness to yield: “Back then, when I brought my family to the Donau Wasteland, only the old, weak, sick, and disabled were left in my care. Now, I have over five thousand robust Berserkers of Tel Aviv; as long as I hold the ‘Wrath of Thor’ Battle Axe, more Berserkers will co to seek refuge with in the future!”

“The fox’s tail is revealed! Well done, ruthless yet elegant! The favor of sheltering is aningless! To think, the fallen elves are so vile, only to be outplayed by an even more depraved fellow in the end!”

“Did you know that Lucian’s rotational city lord, You Yue’er the matriarch, initially didn’t want to deploy troops to attack the Naga, since there’s no benefit?” Roml wasn’t annoyed at all but smiled at Old Liu: “But the other fallen leaders thought it was the perfect mont to extort a labor fee from you in exchange for Lucian’s troop deploynt.”

“They’re used to being tigers in their realm, no surprise they have such a petty minded approach.” Liu Zhankan shrugged: “What happened next? Why did Lucian agree to deploy troops for free then?”

“Because I told the fallen elves you represented the Aegean Alliance in testing their sincerity.”

“Of course, my Totem Pillar of War Songs has free allocation for allies, but I’m not throwing it in the water!”

“Do you know how the fallen leaders perceive the continental situation?”

“These opportunistic politicians are typical fence-sitters, making do like cold buzzards.”

“Exactly! Their consensus is: no matter who attacks, as long as it doesn’t interfere with their rule, nominal subservience and tributes don’t matter at all! Had I not convinced them, would Lucian declare war on the Sea Clan? Dream on!”

“Whether Lucian surrenders to the Sea Clan or the Demon Clan, and whether it’s nominal or actual surrender, if the fallen elves dare to do so, no Aegean Race will forgive them!” Liu Zhankan sneered: “This isn’t a simple matter of minding one’s own affairs, it’s a war of survival between races; everyone has a natural standpoint, and betrayal of this standpoint will be punished!”

“Then what’s so strange about my actions today?”

“Seems still a bit too much?” Liu Zhankan, perceptive and sharp, said: “After all, Lucian joined the Aegean Alliance, made efforts to resist the Sea Clan invasion; you don’t have to cut ties completely with them just because you won’t accompany them to their grave.”

“There’s the Demon Clan besides the Sea Clan! The Sea Clan can’t reach Lucian for now, but the Demon Clan is different. The Demon Clan will advance straight from the Southeastern Wasteland, and their first stop is Lucian!” Roml dismissed: “Do you think Lucian will choose to fight to the death against the Demon Clan’s army?”

Liu Zhankan fell silent. According to Roml, the fallen elves were bound to surrender to the Demon Clan, which wasn’t surprising; they were used to jungle law in the Underground World, where whoever had the strongest fist was king, worshipping the weak and strong philosophy that’s less familiar to Aegean natives of the Surface World.

“Further speaking, from Lucian’s perspective, even surrendering…” Roml watched Old Liu profoundly and spoke aningfully: “Better surrender to the Sea Clan rather than to the Demon Clan!”

“You…” Old Liu furrowed his brows for a long while, couldn’t resist leaning to Roml’s ear to ask: “How did you guess my intentions? About the Demon Clan…”
