Chapter 1521: Chapter 454: The First Step of the Heavenly King Competition

Originally, Old Liu planned to stay in Mizuno City for two more days, but his companions were quite anxious. They quickly dragged him to the magic teleportation array at the Adventure Guild, paid the transmission fee, and directly teleported to the provincial capital, Casablanca City. They found a modest and inexpensive inn to settle down first.

Casablanca City is much larger in scale than Mizuno City and far grander as well. The city is built underground, with massive stone slabs stacked one on top of another. Supporting the dod roof are thousands of pillars, each as thick as ten people encircling it hand-in-hand, a sight of unparalleled majesty. Within the city are four towering Fla Towers, with sixteen gigantic bronze mirrors reflecting the flas’ light throughout the city, making it as bright as daylight.

Due to the upcoming selection for the Left Bank Emperor, the streets were bustling with warriors strutting about with arrogance, dressed resplendently, escorting a pompously attired flying knight making a grand display.

The four companions eagerly dragged Old Liu through the streets, exploring with excitent and widening their horizons.

After all, Casablanca is a provincial capital city, and even “Osteo Wands” were openly for sale in the weapon shops here!

Although Old Liu hadn’t fully grasped the details of the monetary system of the Demon World, judging by the expressions of his four companions, he could guess that the prices of these Osteo Wands were astonishingly high. After buying so inexpensive equipnt for the four young ones and seeing their beaming smiles, Old Liu felt a warm glow in his heart.

Old Liu also visited Casablanca City’s public library. Claiming he was illiterate, he persuaded the Lich siblings, the only ones in his group who could read, to take turns reading articles to him. He hoped to learn about the historical transformations of the Demon World and understand why Beamons and Dwarves—races from the Aegean Continent—appeared here.

His findings were far from conclusive.

Even in the thick chronicles of the Demon World, the origins of Beamons and Dwarves within the Demon World remained elusive. Existing records indicated that these races were considered lowly slaves over ten thousand years ago. However, the enlightened Witch King Peyton, after the Evil Races drove all mbers of the Demon Clan into the Demon World, abolished slavery for these six inferior races, designating them as protected vassal civilians under the law!

No noble could casually kill them without legal consequence as was the case in the past.

History is always absurd—Old Liu had long been aware of this.

The history of the Aegean Continent is just as tangled, full of contradictions, and rife with baseless fabrications that are nevertheless docunted grandiloquently in records. It didn’t surprise Old Liu one bit that the Demon Clan would record its history like this.

Could these Beamons and Dwarves be descendants of Aegean pregnant won kidnapped and brought to the Demon World in the past, or perhaps the offspring of slaves abducted back then? He racked his brain and could only arrive at this fuzzy conclusion. However, he was quite certain about one thing: whether they were kidnapped slaves or pregnant won, the captives back then must have belonged to multiple races. Yet now, only six Aegeanian races remain—Dwarves, Sparrow Beamons of the Sparer Clan, Ant Beamons of the Ant Clan, Locust Beamons of the Rhesabor Clan, Bee Beamons of the Panebe Clan, and Dragonfly Beamons of the Wafarlee Clan, with Beamons making up the majority.

What left Old Liu, the Shaman of Divine Songs, utterly speechless was that these six races now seed to deeply identify themselves with the Demon World.

Perhaps due to the Demon Clan’s prolonged education and indoctrination, not only are these six races entirely unaware that the Aegean Continent was their original holand, but even ordinary mbers of the Demon Clan are clueless about this fact!

In the grand hall of the library, Liu Zhengan saw a group of impassioned youths delivering speeches on how to launch a counterattack against the Aegean Continent. Notably, there were even young Beamons among them shouting slogans.

The current unified mindset of the Demon Clan is shockingly resolute—they believe the Evil Races from the Evil Continent drove all mbers of the Demon Clan onto this desolate Demon World. And now, the once-in-a-ten-thousand-years Holy War presents the best opportunity for all Demon Clan mbers to reclaim their holand and enact revenge!

Old Liu wasn’t sure whether to praise the Demon Clan for their foresight or curse the Beamon kindred for betraying the God of War.

Yet the further he delved into his investigation, the more shocking discoveries awaited Liu Zhengan.

The magic of the Aegean Continent may have blossod into countless branches, but the Demon World hasn’t been idle either.

Nowadays, the Demon World has developed its own “Air, Fire, Water, and Earth” four-elent Arcane Systems! It’s unclear whether these techniques were learned during their invasion of the Aegean Continent. Currently, these four-elent Arcane Systems are far less prevalent than Necromancy and dium Techniques. Mages who study and use such elental Arcane Systems are not mainstream, but undeniably, the Demon Clan’s overwhelming population base has resulted in over one thousand registered Arcanists specialized in the four primary arcane elents!

This number already approximates the total number of Aegeanian human mages!

But the advancent of the Demon World doesn’t stop here!

It turns out that despite limited tal resources in the Demon World, its crystal mines are abundant. Since gaining the assistance of Dwarf Artisans, the Demon Clan’s regular army is now equipped with crystal armor and crystal weapons!

Refined crystal, in terms of quality, is comparable to steel!

With a sufficient supply of teleportation crystals as support, the Demon Clan has made large-scale developnts and applications of magic teleportation arrays and long-distance communication devices like the “Soreskia Noah Bone Communication Box.” For instance, when battling the Mutant Moria Leech, Soreskia once used the public channel of a “Noah Bone Communication Box” to call for aid from nearby adventure teams. Even third-rate adventure teams had access to such communication devices, showcasing their widespread use!
