Chapter 314: Chapter 161: Past Events

Jero waved his Magic Wand in hand, cautiously controlling the power of the Magic Fla to lt the huge rocks before him into blazing magma.

Working alongside him on this task were also two other Level 1 Wizards from different factions.

One would mix so special tallic particles into the molten lava that Jero had lted, and another was responsible for cooling and solidifying the “prepared” magma into huge cubic blocks.

Afterwards, these standard-compliant concrete blocks would be delivered to the next location, where dedicated wizards would etch so simple runes on them. Then, another group of wizards would assemble the “refined” concrete blocks into the nascent form of a combat arena, finally concluding with the last steps of “reinforcent” and decoration…

Every step was carried out in an orderly fashion, everything calm and organized.

There was no communication between the wizards responsible for each step of the process, only occasionally when soone’s spiritual power was drained, needing a “shift change”, they would exchange a few brief words. Once permission was granted, they would silently head to a secluded corner to ditate alone.

The reason for this, apart from these wizards from various factions not being familiar with each other, was that their “identities” here in this place were “special.”

They were not elite geniuses invited to co here. On the contrary, their statuses within their respective factions were all quite average.

They were here solely because they had accepted the corresponding “tasks.”

This was an assembly ground for Heaven’s Pride; any casually passing wizard might be a genius from various factions, their strength dozens of tis more potent than theirs.

They were at the “very bottom” here, doing things that only Lower-level Wizards would do. To say that they were out of place would not be quite right, but they indeed seed like easily neglected “background boards”…

Another huge block of concrete successfully took shape under the spell, Jero exhaled lightly, feeling that his spiritual power was running low. He thought that after the next block of concrete was finished, he should find soone for a “shift change.”

Just as he was softly chanting a spell, preparing to construct the next block of concrete, soone suddenly approached and interrupted his casting.

The person was a Second-level Wizard from Thorny Palace, responsible for overseeing and directing the work in their small area.

Although from different factions, Jero still maintained enough respect for the other party. He stopped what he was doing, about to listen for any new instructions, but the latter rely gestured with a look, glancing in a certain direction.

Following the other’s gaze, Jero only saw a figure dressed in black and grey adorned with exquisite silver edges, standing with their back towards him, their specific features unclear.

Jero slowly approached the figure, gradually feeling the spiritual power fluctuations emanating from them.

It was the pressure that could only be exuded by a wizard of at least Interdiate Level 2 Stage, and he began to feel puzzled and anxious, wondering if he had inadvertently “provoked” so passing bigwig from another faction…

As Jero got closer, the figure also turned around.

Behind the tall and straight figure was revealed an extrely young and handso face.

At the sight of this face, Jero had a mont of disorientation, feelings of familiarity and strangeness mixing together. He felt as if he had seen this face sowhere before, until…

The handso and graceful young man calmly greeted him: “It’s been a long ti… Mister Jero.”

mories, neither too distant nor too faint, surged quickly. Jero’s pupils constricted, uttering the other’s na in a low cry.

“Ronan… You’re Ronan Damien?!”

More and more Magic Airships fell from the sky, one after another powerful wizard figures entered, under the six high-hanging “Dawn Suns”, one combat arena after another rose from the ground.

During sunset, Goblin plain gradually beca lively.

However, amidst this fervor and noise, the two standing opposite each other, Ronan and Jero, appeared unexpectedly quiet.

Ronan could see the inner turmoil under Jero’s seemingly calm exterior. He had anticipated such a reaction; the atmosphere between them grew sowhat awkward.

Yet it was Jero who took the initiative to break the silence, “I didn’t expect to see you here… Damien.”

Ronan sighed softly, “Neither did I.”

He truly didn’t expect to encounter Jero during this competition; the Level 1 Official Wizard who had once “supported” him a few tis back at Hoddam Academy, and later gave him a map near Hoddam.

It was the map that led Ronan to the Silver Magic Ring. It could be said that if not for Jero, Ronan might not be standing here today.

However, Ronan wasn’t surprised by Jero’s appearance as a lt Crystal Lake Wizard.

He rembered that what Jero had studied at Hoddam Academy was the Molten Lava Fire Ring school of spells, so joining lt Crystal Lake was indeed expected.

“You have surpassed my expectations by far…”

Jero looked at Ronan before him, his lips slightly moving, “Are you here as a mber of the Magic Ring to observe the battle?”

Ronan hesitated for a mont, without much explanation, nodded, and said, “Sort of.”

Jero’s expression beca more complex, at a loss for words for a mont.
