Noah wasn’t listening. He was staring at his system instead.

A few strings of red alerts blinked in his line of vision:

...

Each alert aligned with one of the n now standing before him.

It finally made sense—his system only triggered Ultimate Revenge when he faced them directly, one by one, with the sa killer intent they brought for him.

Then he saw the Bonus he would receive.

’God damn, Zoe! Why does the bonus money now appear different?’

’That’s because of their power difference. So, the one with the higher Bonus is stronger.’

’Ah, I see—’

Noah turned slightly, locking eyes on the strongest opponent among them. He knew he needed to strike that one first—take out the leader before the others had a chance to react.

"Thank you. But... I don’t need your help," Noah said casually, his voice calm—too calm.

And, his calm tone was enough to provoke one of them.

"What the fuck is wrong with this bastard? Does he even know that his death..." The man with a scar on his face swallowed his words as the man behind him raised a hand to stop him.

"Young man, it’s okay," the leader said with mock kindness. "We won’t ask for paynt. We genuinely want to help you..."

’Oh... he’s the one. The strong one,’ Noah thought, his eyes narrowing on the man standing behind the two bulkier thugs. Arms crossed. Confidence. Watching him like a hawk.

He couldn’t afford to wait. If the others joined in with firearms, things could get ssy. He had to strike now—fast and clean.

"Who sent you?" Noah asked coldly. His words froze the air between them.

The relaxed smirks vanished from the three n’s faces as their target already knew about their mission. Their bodies tensed. Eyes sharpened.

Except for the leader. His expression returned to calm. He stared calmly at Noah, eyes like steel. "A dead man shouldn’t be asking questions."

"Fine then," Noah replied with a slight tilt of his head and a chilling smile that sent a shiver down the spine of everyone present.

And then—he vanished.

In a blur faster than the eye could catch, Noah appeared behind the leader. The cold edge of a dagger kissed the man’s spine. Sharp. Unforgiving. Death pressed against his skin.

Shock tore through all three n. They hadn’t even seen him move, and now their target was already standing behind them.

"Then I’ll take your life first," Noah whispered, his voice cutting through the air like a blade. "But... I’m generous. One last chance. Who sent you?"

He needed answers. This ambush wasn’t random, and whoever orchestrated it had just declared war against him.

But the bastard didn’t even flinch.

"You think I’m afraid? You think I believe you can kill ?" the man chuckled darkly. "We have a rule: we never reveal the client. And you..."

His words died mid-sentence.

Noah’s dagger slit his throat cleanly. Blood sprayed the air in a sharp, tallic mist.

Noah watched life’s light quickly drain out of the man’s body. The man was losing his balance as all his senses suddenly faded. Then, with ease, Noah tossed the body aside.

A notification flashed in his sight.

...

...

Noah’s gaze slowly shifted to the two remaining n.

They stood frozen. Pale. Paralyzed. As if an unseen force had turned their bodies to stone.

They didn’t dare move.

Didn’t dare breathe.

Didn’t dare scream.

Behind them, Noah’s car still sat with the hood open, covering the view from the others further back.

He couldn’t let them make a sound. Not yet.

Noah moved again, so fast and without a trace.

In a blink, he appeared behind the man on the left. His hand clamped around the thug’s head—and with a savage twist, he snapped his neck clean. The man collapsed silently, lifeless, before he even realized what had happened.

Another notification appeared.

...

The last man standing shook uncontrollably, his eyes wide with terror.

"H-How..." he stamred, but his voice died in his throat the mont Noah pressed his dagger to his neck.

"Sss... be quiet," Noah hissed, his voice deadly low. "Or you’ll join your friends in hell."

Noah smiled icily at the man, who was trembling violently as he stared back at him, nodding in panic.

"What do you want?" the man asked, his voice low but shaking.

"Who sent you to kill ?" Noah asked, his tone sharp and emotionless.

"I... I don’t know. The only one who knows is our leader. He’s in the car..."

Noah’s expression froze.

’Damn it. The stronger one is in the car!?’

He’d assud the first man he killed was the gang’s leader. That had been his calculated move—to eliminate the most dangerous threat first.

But now? That assumption might’ve just cost him.

Still, he didn’t trust the man in his grasp.

Without a word, he shoved him forward, forcing the man to hide behind the open hood of the car to keep their position concealed.

’Zoe, is he telling the truth?’

He needed to be sure this wasn’t so desperate lie. He couldn’t afford to leave a true leader alive.

’I guess... he’s telling the truth...’

Unbelievable. Even Zoe couldn’t confirm it with certainty.

Sigh.
