Eventually, the morning arrived, from what Mike could hear from the earpieces of the soldiers with his sharp senses it seed that the higher-ups were still discussing his terms with vigor
"Hey Adam"
"Yeah?"
"You want to speed up the annoying part?"
"...Sure?"
"Okay then Ah, man since you guys don't want as a citizen I could always learn Russian Or Chinese"
A small since followed from the earpieces before Mike continued
"And I had planned to hand down so of my techniques too Such a sha, oh well Off to Russia with "
Mike stood up and summoned his wings which he flapped weakly a few tis before he glanced at Adam that gave him the 'Why the fuck did you say that' look, the soldiers that sat on the ground quickly rose to their feet and resud pointing the rifles at Mike until a few monts later when Adam spoke
"Wait Your demands have been accepted"
Mike showed a smile and turned to Chloe which he helped to her feet before he gestured her to walk over to the soldiers which she then did, Mike followed after her as he unsummoned his wings, he walked past the soldiers, Adam quickly followed after him as he asked
"Where are you going, Mike?"
"Over to see the tanks, where else?"
Adam sighed before he followed after Mike, soon the two of them covered the distance and arrived where the tank group had taken up positions, the tank crew's stood out of the tanks in front of their tanks, watching Mike with caution
"M1A2 Abrams, such a beauty What do you reckon that it weighs Adam?"
"I don't know So 60 tons?"
Mike rubbed his hands together as his tail swung from side to side as he spoke
"You know I really want to try and lift one But I'll refrain for now"
Adam looked blankly at Mike before he began laughing, though it sounded slightly hollow
"Ahahaha Good one, lifting a tank..."
"Yeah it kind of does sound like I am joking, doesn't it..? Maybe later"
So ti passed as Mike admired the tanks from a distance, then a helicopter landed nearby which Mike was prompted to get on to which he nodded and followed along with the show, soon the helicopter was out over the open sea, Mike sat with the headphones on and waited, soon the helicopter landed on an aircraft carrier which was stationed in the north sea, from there Mike walked around on deck for a bit before a couple of people approached him, one seed to be a high ranking officer that showed a smile to Mike, while the other seed to be the admiral of the fleet, he wore a frown as he looked at Mike, besides that there was a couple of what seed like normal soldiers that gave off faint mana signatures, Mike showed a smile and greeted them
"My na is Mike and while I tossed away my last na a long ti my legal na is Mike Thompson"
The staff officer nodded before he introduced himself
"My na is Desmund Hext, you can just call Des, Mike, this is Admiral Simmons"
The Admiral still wore the frown on his face and remained silent, Mike smiled before he disappeared from view appearing behind the Admiral and placing a hand on his back before he injected mana into his body clearing up his paths in an instant, the nearby soldiers all drew their weapons and pointed them at Mike that clapped the Admiral on the shoulder as he spoke
"This should make up for that lost plane, no?"
"You, what did you do to !"
Mike smiled at the Admiral's anger before he spoke flatly
"I unblocked your 'paths' making you a mage and extending your natural lifespan by so 30 years"
Finished what he wanted to Mike walked towards the entrance to below deck, after walking a few ters he called out
"Des, you coming or what?"
"Ah, yes"
Desmond walked after Mike along with the couple of mana able soldiers, the Admiral remained standing frozen in the wind as he felt the changes in his body, gradually the angry expression on his face disappeared before wonder replaced it, then shock, another staff officer quickly asked him
"Admiral are you okay?"
"I Feel 20 years younger"
Then he began to cough violently causing the nearby staff officers to panic before he raised a hand and spoke as he looked at the black blood on his hand
"I am fine"
"Admiral, we should do a full check-up just in case"
"Fine Let's go"
Mike soon found himself in a closed room with a one-way glass window on the side, across the table was Desmond that handed him a couple of papers which Mike looked over, they seed to be so hurridly crafted legal docunts, Mike read them over and thought for a few monts before he signed them, they were not what he hoped for, as in they were not a 'sign here and we give you a citizenship' docunt, they were more of a 'sign here and we'll consider it a 1st step towards agreeing to your demands, in exchange for so other stuff' Mike sighed before he looked over at Desmond and asked
"Do you happen to have a phone and so headphones laying around?"
"No Though I'll ask around"
"Thanks"
Mike stood up and stretched before he walked over to the corner of the room and sat down with crossed legs and started to ditate
A lot happened while Mike was ditating, firstly two people finished up their check-ups without any problems with either of them, the Admiral was in a daze when the doctor told him that his steadily failing organs were now in top shape, it really did seem like he had beco 20 years younger, he felt strange, on one hand, he should be celebrating, but on the other hand, he felt that the gift he had been given was not given out lightly, of course, he was completely wrong on that point Not that Mike would tell him that. As for Chloe, she returned to her small and cramped room with a sense of the last 3 days being a strange dream, so naturally, after she showered she went straight to bed, she knew that a debriefing was waiting for her soon, as for Adam, he was already benign debriefed
Mike opened his eyes slowly, he had been ditating for about 2 days straight, he jumped to his feet and cracked his neck as he stretched, then he walked over to the one-way glass and knocked on it a couple of tis waking the person sleeping on the other side before he spoke
"Good morning Don't worry, I won't tell if you don't"
Then he walked over and sat down on the chair as he waited for a bit, he rubbed his stomach that was feeling a little empty as he let out a yawn
'I wonder what kind of food they serve on an aircraft carrier'
Then after about 2 minutes Desmond opened the door and walked in before he sat down in font of Mike, Mike watched his face for a bit before he asked
"What's wrong?"
"Oh, so it's that obvious huh I just briefed the president on, well you Mike"
"Ah I see and what's the verdict?"
Desmond looked at Mike for a bit before he asked
"What are you going to do if it's not what you expected?"
Mike thought for a bit before he answered nonchalantly
"Learn how to speak Russian?"
"I see What if there was a kill order out on you already?"
"Hmm Then I would have to do so things that I've learned how to do very well, but probably sink this aircraft carrier as a demonstration of strength..? Never mind that, did you find so headphones and a phone?"
Desmond nodded before he laid a mobile phone up on the table along with a pair of headphones as he spoke
"There's access to the net on it, I trust you'll work your magic and find sothing you want to listen to?"
"Yeah That I will"
Mike picked up the headphones and wore them before he put them off on one ear and asked
"So what was the verdict?"
"To bring you ho for further studies"
"Ah I see Well then, could you send soone to bring so food, I am kind of starving here"
"Oh, of course, any allergies?"
"Not that I know of"
"Okay then"
Desmond got up and walked out of the room and shut the door after himself, Mike humd a snog while he quickly browsed the net to find a song he wanted to hear, then he leaned back and spoke
"When you die nobody will rember you I only ever really cry to wash away the blood, to wash away the blood"
Having found his old favorite song Mike was quite pleased as he humd along
