Akhil looked on to see the horrible mutation happen right before his eyes.

Ronald’s body had completely transford into sothing beastly. His muscles had grown almost ten tis their previous size, ripping straight through his suit. Red, pulsating veins spread across his entire body, bulging obscenely.

His teeth grew sharper and looked as though they had decayed in seconds, carrying a heavy tint of yellow. His hair fell off, leaving a bald-headed, muscular beast with terrifyingly sharp teeth, long nails, and large, bloodshot eyes that almost seed as though they were about to leave their sockets. Streams of viscous saliva dripped uncontrollably from its mouth.

They all stared in horror as the transformation occurred. Their eyes wide with terror, even before the process was complete, so of the reporters had already started to scramble their way out of the administrative block.

Just then, the zombie stared around with its large eyes, and then—

Roooar!

A loud, guttural roar echoed through the entire settlent. A powerful wave of wind shot out in all directions, scattering stones and marbles.

Akhil, who was just about to chase after Mask, stopped in his tracks, torn between pursuing the Titan or addressing the looming threat in front of him.

He didn’t have much ti to contemplate further as the zombie hungrily jumped onto one of the nearby civilians. With a heavy chomp, the large mouth clamped against the human’s arm.

The man scread frantically, trying his best to escape the beast’s jaw. But the more he struggled, the Zombie bit deeper, successfully ripping out a chunk of his flesh.

As though annoyed by his relentless struggles, the beast flung the man away like a piece of cloth.

The man felt a wave of relief as the Zombie released him and ran straight for the crowd again. That relief was short-lived, as no one expected what happened next.

The bite mark seed to corrupt the man’s body like a venom. The human that had been bitten scread frantically as red, pulsating veins spread out from the injury. He began convulsing, his mouth letting out white foam, and his eyes widening unnaturally. The corruption climbed up his arm like a snake, his skin protruding out like an inflated balloon. In the next second, his eyes went red with hunger and rage.

And then, to the dismay of everyone present, he slowly stood up, turning into a zombie of his own.

"Tch," Akhil hissed, seeing the sight. Leaving to chase after Mask was no longer an option; he had to take care of the beast, or it would spread its disease everywhere.

While he was still deep in his thoughts, the original beast was already on the move. It attacked another civilian, cutting a deep gash straight past the human’s chest. Red blood sprayed out like a spring.

And then slowly, the corruption began again. Before Akhil could even decide on what to do, there were now three extra zombies on the field.

The entire settlent erupted into chaos as the people began running for their lives, terrified of getting attacked by the infected.

Akhil’s eyes narrowed as he stared at the Zombified Ronald, who let out a loud, guttural roar that made the air shudder.

He quickly glanced around him. ’There are so soldiers here; they can help... We just have to get the civilians out of here so they won’t be a burden.’

Akhil turned his gaze to Larry. "Direct the people to safety. They should all run towards our direction," he ordered with a commanding voice. He then turned his head to Ben. "You will be helping hold back the zombies if they attack the civilians."

Ben nodded quietly, seeing the severity of the current situation. He couldn’t be happier that Akhil was there with them. After seeing Akhil’s strength firsthand, it was probably a good thing having him there at the mont.

Larry quickly understood what Akhil was trying to do. With the people scattering around uncoordinated, it made it easier for the zombies to catch more victims. But if they all ran in one direction, all the zombies would focus on that single attack point and rush toward the area, allowing Ben and Akhil to attack the Zombies when they got close enough.

"Yes sir," Larry said nervously, as he raised his hands into the air, shouting with a loud voice.

"Everyone this way!" He waved his hands, and instantly, everyone turned to look at him.

With panic in their eyes, they quickly started running in his direction.

As the civilians ran toward them, the zombies, just as they expected, started making their way in that direction.

It was a frantic chase, everyone moving solely for self-preservation. In the process, so people were injured, but no one cared as they trampled over one another.

Among the crowd, one of the reporters fell as a much larger man mistakenly shoved him to the ground. The man tried standing up just as quickly, only for soone to step heavily on his legs. "Arrgh," he groaned in pain as he struggled to stand again despite the burning ache in his ankles.

But before he could rise—

BOOM!

He felt the earth beneath his feet shudder as the lead Zombie, the massive forr Ronald, landed heavily close to him.

The Zombie stared down, its large maws dripping with viscous saliva, its large eyes devoid of emotion. The man scurried backward, trying his best to create distance between himself and the beast, but all his efforts seed to be in vain; he could barely move.

Fear gripped the very core of his soul as the Zombie leaned in closer, claws raised. With one violent swing, it ca down on him rcilessly.

The man flinched, closing his eyes as he waited for the attack to hit him, but it never did.

He opened his eyes, peeking out, and caught the sight of a deep red blade blocking the large claws.

Several Blood Bullets followed right after.

Pow! Pow! Pow!

The man stared bewildered for a mont. "Get out of here!" Akhil’s sharp words dragged him back to reality, and he quickly stood to his feet.

"Thank you," he gasped before running away without even taking a second glance behind him.

The bullets drove straight through the body of the Zombie, causing the large beast to stumble back in stunned surprise.

"Chiiwwiik!" it roared in retaliation, feeling the intense pain shooting through its body. It shot its sharp eyes at Akhil, bringing down its claws again.

Akhil swiftly moved to the side, flowing like the wind, allowing the large claws to dig harmlessly into the earth. With a powerful side kick, he sent the Zombie flying off into the distance.

Akhil quickly surveyed the area. So people had cleared out, but the number of active zombies had increased dramatically.

’Shit, we need more people to fight. Only and Ben can’t handle this much.’

"Send out news for all the adventurers to try protect the civilians so none of them get injured! The more injured people, the more zombies we have to face! And also tell them to support us to deal with the zombies. None of these things should escape into the city, or it’ll cause a lot of trouble," Akhil yelled to Ben, who was equally locked in a desperate fight with one of the infected.

Ben kicked off the beast with ease, turning his head to Akhil, giving him a nod of acknowledgent before quickly passing on the order.

"You don’t need to tell twice," he grunted as he dealt a heavy blow to the zombie he was fighting off. He cleared his throat. "All gars in the area! Lend us your strength! Protect the civilians from the zombies so no one gets hurt! Soldiers, help us fight against these zombie monsters!" he ordered with a stern voice.

They were currently facing about ten zombies, and their numbers were increasing at an incredibly fast rate. To make matters worse, each of them was hellishly strong.

{Level: 80}

Only Ronald’s form was already a Level 80, and it was the strongest among them all. The others were all ranging between Level 50 and 80.

’Thankfully, none of them have entered the Advanced Level,’ Akhil thought as he locked his gaze with the large Zombie that was now charging him again.

Akhil readied his sword, prepared to et the attack from the Ronald Zombie form. Thanks to its level, it was the fastest Zombie, and terrifyingly fast at that.

It dived straight for Akhil, the earth cracking beneath its feet as it ran madly forward.

Akhil let out a deep breath, preparing his blade as the beast neared him. It approached as though it wanted to throw a devastating attack, but what happened next stunned him.

The Zombie leaped up straight into the air, jumping over him in one clean jump, heading straight for the administrative walls.

"Huh?" Akhil raised his brow in surprise. He had expected the Zombie to be a mindless dummy and didn’t expect such a tactical trick. He could only suck his teeth, quickly snapping out of his shock.

"Stop that Zombie! Don’t let it get past the wall!"
