The mana that was sent to his body was pure and immaculate. He did not need to process it before it spread over his entire body. A golden sheen soon ford on him.

Arin was surprised and took a step back.

’The conversion rate is about one to one. One litre of blood converts into one unit of mana. The rate was abysmal considering a human only has about 5 litres of blood.’

’How did the previous owner even use it?’

’Anyway, this artifact was never ant to be used by a normal human. Only soone like who can control a vast amount of blood can fully utilize the artifact’s power.’

Oliver took a mont to fully feel the mana spreading over his body. For the past few months, he had filled his body with mana, just like he was doing now, to increase his mana sensitivity.

’The mana is pure. And it feels much better than when I used it in my past life.’ Oliver’s body was supposed to be incapable of handling mana.

He couldn’t control it, nor could he use it.

Only after being injected with the healing solution for years did he finally improve his mana sensitivity in his past life.

Oliver was doing the sa in this life, but instead of a healing solution, he was using blood that was converted to mana to fill his body in repeated cycles to improve his mana sensitivity.

However, his current body was still nowhere near being able to control it.

So, he let it flow through his entire body, uninterrupted.

The golden sheen covering his body beca bright as it surrounded him.

Currently, he has used about a hundred litres of blood. Which made around 100 units of mana.

That’s the maximum mana level of an E-ranker.

Oliver stopped converting blood to mana after that. Anymore was unnecessary since he wanted it to be just enough to tenderise the mana beast at.

Without a delay, before the mana glow over his body could dissipate, he pulled over the at and pressed it with his palm.

The mana covering his palm fused into the at and broke it down from the inside.

The slab of at was not alive, and thus it couldn’t defend itself against the foreign mana seeping into it.

After a couple more pressing and beating, the stiff slab of at beca tender.

"See?" Oliver said proudly.

"Hm." Arin nodded in surprise.

The true impact was less about the action and more about it being his brother behind it.

Anyone, even an F-ranker, could have done the sa by using way less mana. But the fact that his brother, who shouldn’t have been able to use mana, did it excited him. He was happy to see the smile on his brother’s face.

anwhile, Oliver picked up a knife and quickly sliced it up.

"I want it fried," Arin said.

"Fried, grilled, sauteed, curry, and soup. I am going to make it all. He he." Oliver grinned and went back to his work.

An hour later, Oliver’s parents returned ho. By that ti, the dinner was ready.

He quickly invited them and sat them in front of the bountiful al.

The dining table, filled with all kinds of dishes, shocked them.

"Try it." Oliver sat along with them and said.

Arin was waiting for this opportunity. He quickly dove in and picked a fried piece of at.

Without delay, he put it in his mouth.

The outside was covered in freshly made sauce and crispy flour, while the inside was tender and juicy.

"Perfect." He said.

There was no better way to describe it. The combination of spices and the umami of the at, combined with the crispy exterior, made it feel like the food from heaven.

Seeing his excitent, the rest soon joined in.

Like him, they were amazed by the diverse yet wonderfully prepared al.

"Oliver, from where did you order it?" Maya couldn’t stop herself from asking.

Oliver smiled proudly.

Obviously, it was praise. His mother ant his cooking was as good as a professional chef’s.

"I made it." He said.

"???"

"???"

His father and mother tilted their head in confusion.

Oliver had never cooked before. So, how could he have made it?

"I saw it. He made it." Arin interjected, dispelling their doubt. "Let’s make him cook every day."

"When did you learn to cook?" Jas Thorne, the newly beco mushroom farr and Oliver’s father asked.

"I learned it during military training."

"It’s great. I give it five stars. Can you fry mushrooms like this?" Then he asked with a smile.

"It is possible."

"Even better. I was thinking about how I should market my mushroom business. If I can cook it and give free samples, I can bring in more custors." Jas happily explained.

Although he was in his forties, Jas still behaved like a joyful young man when he was talking about his business idea.

"Can you teach the recipes?" Maya asked.

"I can write it down for you," Oliver said happily.

Everyone enjoyed the al. He felt satisfied seeing their bright smile.

After a few hours.

2 am that night, Oliver sneaked out of his house.

Due to his improved ability, he could easily climb out of the house without disturbing anyone.

Without making a sound, he left his house and walked towards the outer city.

Yesterday was spent collecting information. During that, he ca across a familiar na of a black market weapons dealer.

Oliver took a cap and covered his face, and walked into the streets.

Now, he was going to the weapons dealer’s shop to buy what he could. The black market ensured his identity wouldn’t be leaked, and he had enough money because of the work he had done while he was in the military. At least, he could get a few alloy knives, if not a custom-made one or even sothing special.

Buying weapons seed to have excited him.

’I am eighteen. I am legally allowed to go into the red light district.’ He smiled and thought while walking.

Maybe not buying weapons.

The shop of the weapons dealer was in the red light district within the city. He would have to travel a couple of hours on foot if he has to reach there.

Fortunately, he could see an electric bike parked nearby.

"Boss." Stephen greeted Oliver the mont he saw him.

He respectfully bowed and handed over the keys.

"Get a list of the tailors by tomorrow. You shouldn’t miss any."

"Yes."

"Then, see you tomorrow."

Oliver got onto the bike and beelined towards his destination.
