"Wonjun, how are you feeling?" Arin asked.

"What doesn’t kill makes stronger," Wonjun replied.

His face was covered in bruises, and he had bandages all over his body. And yet, there was no lack of confidence in his words.

"A little more and you would have really died."

"Ah." Wonjun sucked on a lolipop, "That, what you think. My painful cries and distressed appearance was all but an act for them to let down their guard." He swiped his hair up.

"Hey, isn’t that Stephen?" Suddenly, Arin noticed a bike moving a couple of ters away from them.

Both Arin and Wonjun were leisurely walking through the streets after their class ended when they noticed him.

When Arin ntioned the na Stephen, the lollipop in Wonjun’s mouth fell as he turned to gaze in that direction.

"Isn’t that your brother next to him?" Wonjun asked while quickly sneaking behind an advertisent board on the street.

His eyes showed a hint of panic and curiosity as he looked at them.

"I think so."

"Can’t you even recognise your brother?"

"It’s hard these days."

"What?"

"I an, my brother. He changed so much that even I find it difficult to recognise him." Arin muttered, lost in thought.

"Shut F up and tell if he really is your brother."

"Yep." Arin finally nodded after taking another glance at them.

"What is your brother doing with him?"

"I don’t know."

"Don’t tell he was a delinquent in the past! There might be so dark history that you don’t know of. Maybe, he was an undercover normal person....." Wonjun’s imagination ran wild, thinking about different possibilities that seemingly didn’t have any relation to each other.

The complicated, intertwining storylines he was cooking up either ant he was a genius or an utter fool.

By the looks of it, the latter seed more plausible.

"Let’s follow them?" Suddenly, Arin suggested.

"Are you out of your mind? Why would you even think of sothing crazy like that?" The image of being kicked around like a ball was fresh in Wonjun’s mind, and the pain, too.

No way in hell he would follow them.

"Don’t you want to know what they are doing?"

"Yes, but no. I only have one life. Only stuff that doesn’t kill makes stronger. I can’t have myself getting killed. Following them would be akin to suicide."

"But my brother is there."

"Who knows if he is being threatened by Stephen and being led sowhere they could silence him."

"That’s all the more reason to follow them."

anwhile, other bullies were coming and surrounding Oliver. It indeed looked suspicious.

"Look, there, even Victor is there." Wonjun pointed at the street where the bullies were standing.

"Let’s go." This ti, Arin requested seriously.

"Ah! Damn it. Let’s go." Finally, after having what seed like an intense internal monologue, Wonjun relented and followed Arin.

"Arin, do you rember the first day we t and how I beca your deskmate?" While walking forward, he asked.

"Hm. You were excited to sit next to ." Arin nodded.

"At that ti, I heard your na and thought you were a girl. That’s why I selected the desk." Wonjun paused for a second. "I really wanted to get a girlfriend. If possible, I wanted not to die a virgin."

"Why are you telling this right now?"

"When would I have another ti to whine? You are about to get killed."

Arin ignored him and quickly walked towards Oliver and the bullies surrounding him.

When they closed in on them, they were noticed by the bullies. However, contrary to what they expected, the kids opened a path for them and let them walk by.

Over a dozen kids were surrounding Oliver, and they were standing like well-mannered children. No one would think they were the bullies that terrorized the schools nearby.

"Brother! What’s going on?"

"Arin!" Oliver was slightly surprised to et him. "We were just concluding our conversation. They want a truce, and I agreed." Oliver lied.

They were not there for a truce. He was just ordering them around to get what he wanted.

For example, they were gathered to find a specific person’s house. Oliver didn’t rember the address or na of the person, but he knew he was a tailor living in the East residential area.

He was using the bullies to make a list of all the tailors there.

The reason for finding him was simple because the man was supposedly a demon who was working with M-fresh and Indra.

"Truce?"

Arin was confused.

"Yeah. They won’t be bullying you or anyone in your class anymore. That’s the condition for the truce, right?" Oliver squinted his eyes and looked at Stephen and Victor.

"Yes."

"Yes."

They both nodded.

"See, both Stephenie and Victoria agreed." Oliver let out a satisfied smile.

"Stephenie and Victoria. *Pfuu* Ha ha aha." Wonjun tried his best, but he couldn’t stop laughing.

"Ha ha ha."

"Hi, hi."

Only when he noticed all the eyes falling on him did he ekly stop and hide behind Arin.

"Anyway, let’s go back ho." Oliver suddenly said and walked towards Arin.

"Yeah! Yes." Arin followed him.

After a few minutes, they reached ho.

Oliver had bought so mana beast at when he was coming ho. He quickly went to the kitchen and placed the at onto the cutting board, ignoring his brother.

Today, he wanted to prepare dinner.

His mother and father would return ho in an hour or so, after their shift ends in the convenience store.

He was going to surprise them with the food he made.

"What are you doing?" Arin, for so reason, stuck close to Oliver and asked.

"Making food."

"Can it be eaten?"

"Can food that cannot be eaten be called food?"

"It’s mana beast at, right?"

"Yes."

"Then it needs to be tempered and softened with mana before cooking. You know that, right?"

"Yes."

"Can you use mana?"

"Yes."

"How? When?"

"Didn’t I tell you that my ability evolved?"

"Ah!" Arin exclaid.

He indeed said that his ability had evolved.

"Now, you can even use mana..." He muttered.

"Yes, let show you." Oliver sent a few litres of blood into the golden coin spinning in his blood sac.

It was the sa artifact he used to eradicate the entire demon army. The one that converts blood to mana.

When the blood entered it, the artifact let out a golden light and converted it to mana, and sent it towards Oliver’s body.
