The question sent shivers down the spines of everyone nearby.

Who’s next...

It rang in their ears.

So of them stepped back, avoiding Oliver’s piercing gaze.

None of the people in the training ground was particularly talented.

All the talented ones were already working for the guild or learning from Hero Academy.

The ones present at the Kim family house were the children of the family who were doing nothing worthwhile.

They didn’t have the balls to challenge Oliver.

The fact that he defeated Woojin sent a chill down their spines.

Woojin was an authentic C-rank superhuman. He had a mana quantity of eight thousand units.

He should have had no trouble defeating a nobody like Oliver, who barely qualified as a C-ranker. Or so they thought.

From their perspective, Golden Fiend was a D-ranker or barely a C-ranker.

He was literally a nobody, lacking in both family background and strength when compared to them.

(A/N: In the previous Chapter, I made a mistake and said C ranker’s mana was in the tens of thousands range. No. It is not. C rank has 10000 or less mana. D rank has 1000 or less mana.)

...And yet, Woojin was stomped to the ground brutally, with his tendons severed.

Tendons are the strong tissue at the end of muscles connecting them to the bone.

With it severed, Woojin was squirming on the ground, screaming, with blood splurting from his wounds. While the injury itself was not enough to kill, the way he looked was extrely embarrassing.

"Does anyone else want to co up here to challenge ?"

Oliver asked again.

His eyes scanned the area.

At that ti, he noticed the idiotic trio that injured his brother grasp their swords tightly.

From what he knew, they were also C rankers.

Oliver smiled.

If his blood sac was full, he was comparable to a full-fledged B-ranker.

However, he barely had any blood now.

The last strike used approximately 500 litres of blood. He could barely perform it once again.

In this fight, he was certainly handicapped.

’With blood tentacles, I could have killed these less experienced youngsters in a second.’ Oliver said to himself while tightening his grip on the sword.

’I need to find a way to acclimate my body to mana quickly. The only limitation for doing so is the amount of blood available. Once the money is deposited into my account, I should buy a mana beast processing plant.’

The only bottleneck to Oliver’s regeneration and mana was blood. If he has enough blood, he can convert it to mana and force it into his cells.

Many cells would die in the process. But the surviving one would grow stronger and acclimate itself to mana.

During the process, he would also have to heal his body continually.

Finally, he would be able to replace all the cells in his body with more durable and mana-sensitive cells.

’On a conservative estimate, I need a million litres.’

’That’s less than an Olympic-sized swimming pool. With the amount of mana beasts being slaughtered, it would not be difficult to gather that amount.’

Oliver thought and eyed the trio slowly walking towards him.

Their eyes were fixed on Oliver, occasionally glancing at Woojin, squirming on the ground with tears streaming down his face.

Oliver stood in front of Woojin and asked.

"Do you want to challenge ?"

The trio paused and shook their head.

Then one of them spoke, "The duel ended, so can we take him back. His injuries are severe."

The person who just spoke was the eldest of the group. They were the cousin brother of Kim Jiah.

They seed to be close with Kim Woojin, too.

No wonder they beat up Arin.

Oliver was amused.

"What duel?" He asked back.

The trio squinted their eyes.

Oliver raised an eyebrow and continued to speak.

"This was never a duel. I just wanted to puml the f*cker who dared to poison and make him eat the sa poison. I have yet to do that, right?"

"So, why are you in a hurry to take him away?"

The trio felt their blood boil from his total disregard for them. They were still the young masters of the family, favoured by the world. They couldn’t handle the indifference Oliver showed.

"Oliver, do you think you can run amok in our family ho? If you want to live, let us bring him back to the infirmary."

The eldest one stepped forward, holding the sword tightly.

Oliver also tightened his grip on the sword and stood in between them.

They were only separated by a dozen ters.

For a superhuman, it was a distance they could close in a single leap.

"Don’t worry. I have no plan to kill him just yet. And he will not die because of the injury." Oliver pointed at Woojin. "See the wounds avoided all blood vessels and precisely cut the tendons. It’s pure art."

Oliver comnted and licked his lips.

He looked like a devil in the eyes of the onlookers.

The trio standing before him hesitated.

Still, thinking about the honour of their family, they walked forward.

"We will kill you if you don’t step away." One of them said.

"Yes, you deserve death for the cris you committed."

"Any second now, soone stronger than you will co here. You should give up right now. Or else..."

With a threatening gaze, the others from the trio chid in.

Oliver was unbothered by their threat.

There was always soone stronger than him. It was a given that a few guards from the Kim family were strong and could kill him.

But would they dare?

The head of the Kim family was currently in the house.

Oliver was waiting to et the elder.

Would a guard or anyone else kill soone who was about to et the head of the family?

Oliver didn’t think so.

And even if they did, would that even matter?

He still had plenty of blood to revive.

"Your threats do not work on . I am soone who is willing to die for what I stand for. No one can stop ." Oliver declared proudly.

He seed like a courageous young man fighting against the evil family at that mont.

However, Oliver was just speaking nonsense and putting up a front.

He didn’t care about anything other than making a point that he was not a pushover.
