"Lord Nisi... you truly do live up to your reputation... to have dealt with that group of scum raised by the Judgent Court so decisively!"

Captain Chatam of the Demon Hunting Squad looked at the hand crossbow that had fallen in front of Black Cat, his face showing admiration.

Although the Demon Hunting Institute and the Judgent Court did not get along, caution was still paramount when it ca to taking action. Even if violence was necessary, ideally, it shouldn’t result in fatalities, and certainly shouldn’t leave any evidence behind.

Chatam believed that if it had been him, he would likely have only managed to subdue the judges and given them a good thrashing, leaving them half-dead before handing them over to the Judgent Court for punishnt.

After all, despite their differences, both the Demon Hunting Institute and the Judgent Court were part of the Church. It was one thing to save face, but quite another to take a life.

Even if they were just a bunch of dogs raised by the Judgent Court.

Such actions would undoubtedly lead to disciplinary asures afterward, whether it be a reduction in allowances or a blockade on future promotions.

It was precisely for this reason that the Demon Hunting Knights held such admiration for Black Cat.

Using a hand crossbow, a headshot with one arrow, and it looked like the shot was fired from behind... this Lord Nisi... was indeed ruthless and decisive!

Indeed, a Transcendent being taken in by the Church!

But, well done!

The Demon Hunting Knights all extolled in their hearts.

The Demon Hunting Institute had already despised this group who were once wanted criminals, and now Black Cat had acted with a perfectly justifiable reason, undoubtedly venting their frustrations for them.

In the end, it wasn’t their allowances that were being docked nor their positions being demoted.

Oh, wait.

It seed like Lord Nisi originally didn’t have an allowance or position to speak of.

Then doesn’t it an free rein to wreak havoc!

Seeing the strange looks the Demon Hunting Knights were giving him, Nisi’s face turned green.

He wanted to say, "I didn’t do it," but seeing Charlotte’s occasional "wronged" glances, he could only stiffen his neck and solemnly say,

"Ah... in an ergency, one must exercise due authority. Since these judges dared to attack the nobles, the nature of the incident has changed."

"As a mber of the Church, it is my duty to clean up this trash for the Judgent Court!"

"Lord Chatam, please save my servants..."

Charlotte once again looked pitifully at the Demon Hunting Squad captain.

Chatam’s gaze fell on Lady Mina and the others, and with a sober nod, he said to his fellow companions,

"Heal this gentleman, as well as the lady, and... quickly take this lady to the Church Hospital."

The Demon Hunting Knights imdiately beca busy.

Old Frank struggled to sit up:

"Master... master! There are others! Other people are also being hunted!"

Sherry also clenched her longsword, her cool gaze fixed steadily on Charlotte.

Although she didn’t speak, Charlotte seed to sense a hope similar to Old Frank’s in her eyes.

"Don’t worry, with Lord Nisi and the Demon Hunting Knights here, everyone will surely be rescued."

Charlotte reassured.

Having said that, she looked at Captain Chatam, her face showing a plea for sympathy:

"Captain Chatam..."

Seeing the girl’s hard-to-refuse cute gaze and subconsciously touching the bulging purse at his waist, the Knight Captain’s deanor was solemn:

"Of course, accepting your contract was precisely for this purpose!"

"Those judges who attacked the Castel family’s servants without authorization must be stopped!"

Although obstructing the Judgent Court’s actions was sowhat controversial, the girl had given too much.

And looking at the girl’s pitiful eyes that could so easily stir up a protective impulse, the Demon Hunting Knights found it hard to utter a word of refusal.

Not to ntion... going head-to-head with the Judgent Court was indeed satisfying for them.

"That’s aweso! Captain Chatam, you’re so kind! Just like Lord Nisi!"

"Just now I was telling Lord Nisi that he shouldn’t have acted, but Lord Nisi said he would take full responsibility! He also said he would let everyone throw caution to the wind and just go for it!"

The girl said excitedly.

Her pure, azure blue eyes crinkled into crescents, and her innocent and bright smile was incredibly healing.

Nisi: ...

For a mont, the eyes of the Demon Hunting Knights once again focused on Black Cat.

Looking at the gazes cast by the Demon Hunting Knights and Charlotte’s smiling expression, Nisi felt his throat grow dry.

It heaved a resigned sigh and said through clenched teeth,

"Yes, those bastards dared to lay hands on innocent citizens, it’s unbearable!"

"As mbers of the Holy Light, it’s our duty to clean house for the Judgent Court!"

The admiration in the Demon Hunting Knights’ eyes deepened.

"Lord Nisi, you are this!"

Captain Chatham raised a thumbs up.

After speaking, he said to the other Demon Hunting Knights,

"Go tell everyone, Lord Nisi has ordered, hurry to stop those Judges who are still pursuing the Rose Association’s peripheral mbers!"

"Lord Nisi said, if anything happens, he’ll take the bla! Everyone just go for it! Even if it leads to casualties, he’ll be responsible!"

Nisi: ???

Charlotte almost couldn’t hold back her laughter.

It was obvious that Captain Chatham was sly as well; finding an excellent scapegoat, he quickly caught on.

Moreover, he even took the opportunity to extend the protection to all peripheral mbers of the Rose Association.

"Captain Chatham, please have the Knight Captains take this with them! It can detect the whereabouts of my house servants."

Charlotte produced a Black Hawk Badge from within her bosom.

She had previously used the badge to sense the proximity of Sherry, just not expecting it to be Sherry’s family.

Captain Chatham quickly received it with both hands and handed it to the others.

"Miss Charlotte, are you going to Rose Manor next?"

Looking at the girl’s determined expression, Chatham felt stirred inside.

"Yes, the Rose Association has always been a peripheral force of the Castel family, this has always been a family secret, under the family’s constraints, the Rose Association has always acted very principled."

"To untie the bell, the person who fastened it must do it... If we stop the Judgent Knights, the Judgent Troop will naturally be ordered to halt."

"Captain Chatham, this Holy Judgnt is just slander by the whistleblower behind the scenes, aid at targeting the Castel family!"

"I ask you and the other Knight Captains to co with and bear witness!"

After hearing the girl’s words, the Demon Hunting Captains hesitated a bit.

Beating up the Judgent Troop was fine, rescuing nobles’ house servants from the Judgent Troop was already a slap in the face for the Judgent Court, risky but not tearing relations completely; it fell within their mission’s dangerous edge.

But if it ca to fighting with the Judgent Knights, the nature of the confrontation would change entirely.

"We don’t need to have an actual conflict with them, just protect and my house servants as ntioned before."

"And... Captain Kara will also co."

Charlotte added.

Hearing the girl’s words, Chatham was reassured.

If the sky were to fall, there would be a taller person to hold it up; with Captain Kara coming, they had nothing to fear.

They were also curious about the confidence the girl had to snatch people from the Judgent Knights.

And if the girl actually succeeded...

Well, that would be truly interesting.

The Demon Hunting Institute would not miss out on kicking soone when they were down!

"Let’s go! We’ll follow Miss Charlotte to Rose Manor!"

Captain Chatham said to the other Demon Hunting Squad leaders.

Then, he glanced at Mrs. Mina and pondered,

"Bring this lady as well, Captain Kara’s Healing Skills are a bit more adept than those at the Church Hospital, and Rose Manor is closer than the Church Hospital from here."

"Then... I’m going too!"

Old Frank struggled to stand up.

Sherry, clutching her preliminarily treated wound, limped to stand beside her mother.

"Then let’s go together, and be witnesses together!"

Charlotte said.

Mrs. Mina was lifted onto a carriage, and Old Frank and Sherry supported each other as they entered the carriage.

Under the escort of the Demon Hunting Knights, a procession made its way mightily towards Rose Manor...
