Sofia's expression was sowhat complex.
Perhaps before she had only been curious, but now that she had witnessed the Divine Favored Queen displaying the Bloodline Power of Royal Authority, she was thoroughly convinced that the mysterious prince from the Castel Domain and Falling Star Kingdom was likely a Demigod of the Kilari Clan!
This conclusion was easily drawn.
The Kilari Clan had long since perished, and even if there were surviving mbers, they likely lived incognito in so corner of the world.
After the Divine Favored Queen's coronation, the Harcos Clan had also gathered information on Charlotte de Castel. According to the information gathered, she should have been rely a human with Elf blood.
But the truth was obviously not so.
The Divine Favored Queen had beco a mber of the Bloodline, and moreover, she was of the lost Kilari Clan's lineage—and... the Power of her Bloodline was imnsely strong.
The Bloodline's power originated from their elders, and aside from personal training, their strength mainly depended on the Power of the Bloodline bestowed upon them by their elders.
Clearly, to turn a re Mortal who had not even been Transcendent a few years ago into soone with Bloodline Power surpassing that of the Blazing Sun in just a few years, such a "miracle"... could only be the work of a God.
Coupled with the "Royena's Blood Cage" that many of the Harcos Clan could not cast... clearly, the entity backing the Divine Favored Queen was likely a prince from the Bloodline of Royal Authority who had survived from the Mythical Era!
Of course, whether it was the Bloodline of Royal Authority or a prince who had lived through ancient tis.
Since they had extended goodwill towards the Harcos Clan... as the clan's Guard Captain, Sofia naturally would no longer cling to the grudges of the clan from a thousand years ago.
After all, if one were to really delve into it, it was not clear even to Sofia whether the Kilari Clan was at fault or the other major clans were to bla.
Many secrets of history had long been buried in the long passage of ti.
As for now...
The tough battle had ended, and what was left was the work of "cleaning up."
"Queen Charlotte, thank you for your assistance, now... please leave the rest to us."
Sofia bowed to Charlotte with great respect.
Having said that, she looked at the still-struggling monster, hiding her pity, and her expression gradually beca resolute.
She then drew her sword once again.
But at the next mont, Sofia was stopped by Charlotte again.
"Charlotte...Your Majesty?"
Sofia was puzzled.
"No, it is not over yet."
Charlotte shook her head.
Sofia was slightly taken aback.
She looked at Charlotte with so confusion, but saw that Charlotte was once again approaching the monster.
"Ooo..."
As the girl drew closer, the monster's roars turned into whimpers.
Sofia wondered if it was her own illusion, but as she watched the immobilized monster, she felt as though she could see a trace of returning rationality in its crimson pupils.
Charlotte lifted her head, locking eyes with the monster.
Unlike the Harcos Clan, being the "Blood True Ancestor," her senses were much sharper than theirs.
It was not an illusion that Sofia had.
The "monster"... truly was regaining so of its rationality.
Maybe it was because the "Curse Breath" had released too much power, or maybe "Royena's Blood Cage" had sealed its Bloodline Power; at this mont, the "rational" side of the "monster's" soul was reviving.
Charlotte could even feel its intense emotions.
Confusion, panic, unrest, despair...
And at the sa ti, with the successful sealing of the "monster" and the control of the Bloodline Talent Magic, Charlotte had clearer perception of the monster's Bloodline Power.
That "attraction" stemming from the Bloodline... seed to be growing stronger.
How to put it.
That feeling was as if there was so power within the monster's body that the Blood Holy Scripture desperately desired.
And the last ti Charlotte had a similar feeling was when she attempted to absorb the Blood Divine Power from the Faceless Divine Statue.
Though she had not taken any action yet, Charlotte had a very strange feeling.
That was, if she wished, the Blood Holy Scripture seed to be able to calm the rampaging Bloodline Power inside the "monster" at any ti and help it return to normal.
With this thought, Charlotte looked at the monster again.
She extended her hand, gently touching the monstrous creature's fierce scale armor.
The monster shivered slightly.
It shrank back a little, its whimpering growing even more subdued, and a myriad of complex emotions flowed through Charlotte's extended hand...
Fear, terror, sadness, confusion...
Feeling the "monster's" emotions, Charlotte let out a soft sigh,
"You must be in a lot of pain right now."
"I'm sorry, I will relieve you of it quite soon."
Having said that, she once again activated her magic power, while also calling upon a trace of the Blood Divine Power.
In the depths of her consciousness, the Blood Holy Scripture operated on its own, and Charlotte's golden hair also faintly glead with a hint of silver.
A crimson light blossod once again in the palm of Charlotte's hand, swiftly enveloping the sealed monster.
The next mont, a terrifying black and red fluid seeped from the monster's body, then was quickly assimilated and neutralized under the crimson glow...
Under the stunned gazes of the Bloodline mbers from the Harcos Clan, they saw the creature enveloped in light begin to shrink, smaller and smaller...
The fierce scale armor fell off one by one, the superfluous arms began to wither and dissolve, and the formless body gradually returned to normal, slowly taking on a human shape.
By the end, the black and red force had completely faded away, and the "monster" had returned to Sigurd's original appearance!
Witnessing this unbelievable scene, the Bloodline mbers of the Harcos Clan were utterly stupefied.
"It's... it's Sigurd!"
"By the Queen! Has the bloodline pollution been extracted from him?! Has he... returned to normal?!"
"How... how was this done? Even the Great Prophet couldn't remove the pollution from the fallen ones among our clan..."
"Is this the power of the Bloodline of Royal Authority?"
The eyes of the Harcos Clan's Bloodline mbers widened, their "weak" hearts evidently shaken and astonished.
But the shock Sofia felt surpassed everyone else's.
No other reason than, as the Queen Palace Guard Captain, she knew far more than the other regular guards.
Everyone was rely shocked and delighted that Charlotte could cleanse the pollution that even the Great Prophet had been unable to remove.
But for Sofia, it was pure horror.
She knew so of the clan's hidden secrets.
It was not just the Great Prophet who was incapable of removing that bizarre pollution attached to the bloodline.
It was a feat that many Dukes who were still sane in the past and even the Gods, including Royena herself, who was still striving for the True God Position, could not achieve!
By the Queen!
Divine Favored Queen Charlotte... just who is she?
Is this really the power of the Bloodline of Royal Authority?
Is the Bloodline of Royal Authority's control over bloodline power so strong?
Even if it is really that strong, could a mortal possibly accomplish such a feat?
Or could it be...
A bold hypothesis suddenly erged in Sofia's mind, and she looked at Charlotte with a tinge of nervousness.
The crimson glow faded, and the blood threads that bound Sigurd also disappeared.
Sigurd fell from midair, then was caught by the black bats conjured by Charlotte's magic.
"Take good care of him, he has expended too much bloodline power and will likely need significant rest."
Charlotte said to the other Bloodline mbers of the Harcos Clan.
Upon hearing her words, the mbers of the Harcos squad hurriedly lifted Sigurd, and when they looked back at Charlotte, their gazes had shifted from respect to reverence.
Sofia's expression grew more complicated.
She hesitated for a mont, ultimately turning to Charlotte and couldn't help asking the question in her heart:
"Charlotte... Your Majesty, who... who exactly are you?"
Charlotte looked at her, smiling faintly:
"?"
"I am just a passing Bloodline of Royal Authority."
