Charlotte had not expected that a whimsical visit to the Outer City District to select new servants would lead her to encounter an old acquaintance of her original self.

Upon seeing the young girl, the middle-aged couple was extrely excited, and through their incoherence, Charlotte gradually understood their identity.

In short, the husband and wife who ran the employnt agency had once been Transcendents loyal to the Castel family!

Old Frank used to serve in the Bold Mage Group as a First Tier Combat Mage and had even been granted the title of Baron by Charlotte’s father.

And his wife, Lady Mina, was a Combat Maid who had been bestowed the Source Power Seed and promoted to a Starry Knight.

Moreover, Lady Mina had also been the Chief Maid of the Castel Manor ten years ago, loyally serving the Castel family for generations.

She was also Charlotte’s mother’s personal maid and instructed Charlotte’s mother in the etiquette of the New Moon Kingdom.

That’s right, Charlotte’s mother was not from the New Moon Kingdom.

Her mother was from the Falling Star Kingdom, and it seed she had quite a significant background.

However, due to a Star Moon War prompted by a succession war in the New Moon Kingdom—lasting nearly eighty years of on and off fighting—the New Moon and Falling Star Kingdoms, separated by sea, had beco almost mortal enemies, and this secret had been buried.

Very few knew of it, and even fewer spoke of it.

Even Lady Mina, the maid, only knew that her mistress hailed from a prestigious background in the Falling Star Kingdom.

Charlotte did know that her mother ca from the Falling Star Kingdom.

Of course, she didn’t know the specifics.

But this matched Lady Mina’s identity perfectly!

This secret, known by very few in the Castel family, ant that the woman truly was once a servant to the Castel family!

With the couple’s excited narration, faint and distant fragnts within the mories Charlotte had inherited seed to awaken and slowly surface.

When the girl was very young, there did indeed seem to be a Chief Maid nad Mina.

Not only that, during that ti, Castel Manor served as a temporary headquarters for the Bold Mage Group.

In Charlotte’s resurfacing mories, she often saw mages in robes coming and going in the manor, with many of the mages of commoner descent choosing to marry the maids of the Castel family.

However, after the Fla Demon Disaster ten years prior, Charlotte’s parents perished in the battle against the Fla Demon, and the Bold Mage Group was subsequently dissolved.

Many faces were seen no more after that ti.

"Uncle Frank, Aunt Mina."

"I heard from Casimodo that after the Fla Demon Disaster, many of the Transcendents loyal to our family were sent back to the family’s territories. Why are you here? And... why have you lost your powers?"

Charlotte pondered her words before asking with curiosity.

Looking into the young girl’s pure, unblemished eyes, Frank and Mina exchanged a look, their expressions tinged with sorrow.

"It’s because... we are the sinners of the Castel family, the unclean, and losing our powers is our punishnt..." Old Frank sighed deeply.

"Sinners?" Charlotte was slightly taken aback.

"Yes... During the Fla Demon Disaster, we failed to fulfill our duty of protecting our lord and were even polluted by the power of the Fla Demon..."

"To undergo purification from that pollution, we lost our powers, and because we failed to protect effectively, we were driven out of the family by the angry Old Countess," Lady Mina said with a sigh, seemingly recalling a painful mory.

Was it the old witch who expelled them from the family?

Charlotte was startled by the thought and felt a hint of anger welling up inside.

Excuses!

All excuses from that old witch!

What protecting ineffectively?

She had already asked Casimodo and Nisi; the Fla Demon Vararoka summoned ten years ago was legendary!

How could anyone protect against such a force? It was fortunate enough to have survived! Many had died!

Moreover, in the mories Charlotte had inherited, it wasn’t a matter of failing to protect—it was her parents who had stood up to fight against the Fla Demon!

Charlotte’s parents were both Third Tier Blazing Sun; how could they possibly need protection from First Tier Starry?

It was clearly that deranged old witch taking the opportunity to eliminate dissent, expelling those who were truly loyal to the Castel family from the household!

After ten years, Frank and his wife still demonstrated their unwavering loyalty, which was evidence enough!

No wonder...

No wonder the Castel family hardly retained any loyal servants, except for the marginalized Casimodo.

Charlotte had always wondered—even if the Old Countess had sent all the Transcendents in the family back to their lands, there should have been so loyalists who insisted on staying, especially since Countess Castel was not of the Castel family herself; she had rely taken her husband’s surna. There must have been loyal subjects who were concerned for the young Charlotte’s safety.

So that was the reason...

Those staunchly loyal to the Castel family had either perished in the Fla Demon Disaster or lost their powers, being expelled from the family by the old witch!

Taking a deep breath, Charlotte sighed,

"No, you are not to bla."

"You have never forgotten your original intentions; it is the Castel family that has wronged you."

"Lord Charlotte..."

Upon hearing the young girl’s words, both were moved to tears.

At that mont, Charlotte discovered that the proficiency of the Majesty Skill she had been continuously releasing seed to have subtly increased!

The girl was quietly moved by the unwavering loyalty and tenacity towards the Castel family displayed by Frank and his wife.
