And when Charlotte's gaze shifted to her surroundings, she was taken aback once again.
She found herself on a battlefield.
In the sky, dark clouds clustered densely, while large goose-feather-like snowflakes fluttered down in the howling wind.
On the ground, a cruel battle was unfolding.
There were thousands engaged in combat, one side monsters, and the other humans and half-elves.
The forr were fewer in number, perhaps only two to three hundred, while the latter were more nurous, almost three tis that of the forr.
However, the montum of the battlefield was vastly in favor of the monsters, who were pressing the humans and half-elves hard, and the ranks of the latter were at risk of imminent collapse.
The monsters' faces were uglier than the next, with grotesquely deford bodies; so had four arms, others three legs, and so even had two heads.
Their stature was not too different from humans, their equipnt similar to that of the humans and half-elves, but one distinct difference was a triangular, strange symbol almost all of them bore on their foreheads.
Was this… a divine emblem of so god?
Charlotte's heart stirred.
She then turned her attention to the humans and half-elves.
There were more humans in this group, with fewer half-elves. They bore no symbol on their bodies, but Charlotte noticed high-flying red banners within their ranks.
When Charlotte clearly saw those banners, she froze again.
On those red banners, a familiar pattern was outlined with white lines.
Although many parts were different, the overall shape still resembled the rose on Charlotte's Holy Emblem.
And if one looked closely, so areas of the pattern had ssy lines that resembled the intermittent thorns on the original emblem.
Not Charlotte's symbol.
But it bore a striking resemblance to Charlotte's symbol.
Or rather, it was as if it had been taken right from Charlotte's Holy Emblem.
At that very mont, both humans and monsters around her simultaneously ceased fighting, staring at her in shock.
Or, more accurately, they were looking at her delicate wrist that had caught the great sword barehanded.
"Is… is she a Divine Favored! She's a Divine Favored! Quick! Kill her! Kill her together!"
The monster who had attacked Charlotte suddenly shouted in horror.
His voice was hoarse but Charlotte could understand him.
It was identical to the Ancient Mireya Language she had heard the first ti she "crossed."
A thought flickered through Charlotte's mind as she regarded the monster before her.
The Ancient Mireya Language was similar to the common tongue of the contemporary continent, only without many elf-derived words, and was the most ancient universal language of the human world.
And considering the high likelihood that she had once again "crossed" back in ti, the identity of these monsters beca very intriguing.
These monsters… should also be human.
At least they once were.
The next mont, the roar of a beast echoed from all around as six fearso monsters charged toward Charlotte, wielding maces and great swords.
Their bodies surged with magic power; every single one of them was a tier-entering man.
Seeing this, a human soldier with relatively fine equipnt not far away changed his expression and shouted a warning to Charlotte, "Watch out!"
Charlotte's gaze swept over the several monsters rushing toward her, her azure pupils utterly calm.
The monsters' attacks arrived in an instant.
Accompanied by a thunderous boom, their giant swords and maces smashed down where Charlotte stood, kicking up a burst of snow.
Watching the swirling ice particles, the monsters all began to smirk viciously.
However, as the shards of ice and snow dispersed, their expressions quickly turned to shock.
Where they had just attacked, aside from a collapsed patch of ground, there was nothing.
No one had seen her dodge, yet the enemy had vanished.
The monster who had attacked Charlotte first was dumbfounded.
It intended to turn its head to find Charlotte but its neck refused to obey; it had ant to turn right, but its line of sight suddenly flew out.
It saw its own body. It saw the familiar greatsword in its hand. It saw the smooth, severed cut on its own neck.
Blood sprayed, and in the last flicker of consciousness, it finally realized what had happened.
It had been beheaded.
At the sa ti, the movents of the other six monsters also froze in place.
Accompanied by the surging blood mist, their heads likewise separated from their bodies, their deford torsos falling to the ground like broken rag dolls.
This series of events occurred in the blink of an eye.
The surrounding humans, half-elves, and monsters hadn't even had the chance to react to what happened when all of the tier-entering monsters attacking Charlotte were dead.
After the monsters fell, the crowd then noticed the mysterious girl who had suddenly appeared on the battlefield was already standing ten ters away.
Her golden long hair danced with the bitter cold winds, her exquisite armor shimring in the reflection of the snow.
Her deep blue eyes remained calm, with a luminescence flowing within, set against her delicate features and fair skin, she exuded a strong sense of mystery and nobility.
She slowly sheathed her elfish rapier, its blade not even stained with a hint of blood.
Although she appeared quite young, at that mont, no one dared to underestimate the girl's strength.
Gaze upon gaze fell upon her, all filled with astonishnt and shock.
"So... so powerful!"
The human warrior who had just warned Charlotte widened his eyes in disbelief.
Charlotte was also surprised by her own strength.
Too slow.
She had not expected the tier-entering man's movents to be so slow that she almost leisurely beheaded these monsters, with them not even realizing what was happening.
Of course, she knew it wasn't that the opponent was truly that slow, but that her speed was too fast.
Her strength now surpassed her expectations; these tier-entering n that she once had to struggle against were now like lambs to the slaughter before her.
And the last ti she had a similar sensation was when she activated True Ancestor Liberation.
But obviously, she had not activated True Ancestor Liberation at this mont.
Not only that, she hadn't even used her magic power just now, relying solely on her physical speed and strength.
This further comparison of strength led Charlotte to a conclusion that might sound far-fetched, but was actually quite possible and exciting...
Her strength now... even if it hadn't reached, it was probably close to legendary.
Charlotte exhaled lightly and looked around.
Seeing her gaze coming towards them, the surrounding monsters showed fear and unconsciously took a step back.
Even the humans and half-elves looked at her with awe and caution.
"Hehe, I really didn't expect... to encounter a Divine Favored one here!"
A series of rough laughter drew Charlotte's attention.
She looked over to see the monsters stirring on one side, parting to each side and a monster clad in heavy armor stepped forward.
It was a nearly three ter tall monster, more human-like in appearance compared to the others, but with a fierce tail protruding from behind.
He carried a giant sword, exuding a deadly aura, his tower-like stature imposing imnse pressure.
And his aura was far superior to that of the other monsters; to Charlotte's senses, it even surpassed Sebastian's.
This was a Transcendent with Blazing Sun strength.
On his forehead was also a triangular symbol, but unlike the other monsters, the symbol on his forehead clearly wasn't painted on, but seed to be engraved.
Furthermore, in Charlotte's "vision," his figure was faintly surrounded by a dark green light.
That was actually so kind of Divine Power.
"Troll... a Troll!"
The human side let out a low exclamation.
Their expressions changed, fear apparent on their faces as they unconsciously retreated.
However, the monster they called "Troll" didn't even glance at them.
His dark yellow eyes reflected only Charlotte's figure, his expression filled with a desire for battle and interest:
"I am Atos, the Favored of the God of Hatred and Deformation, the Heavenly Destiny Lord of the Northern Border."
"I wonder which God's Favored you are, and why you intervene in the dispute between us and these fake believers?"
