"How co there are so many of the Bloodline?"

"What is the Church doing? Have the priests gone blind?"

"This is the Royal Capital Lutecia, not Bold!"

As she looked at the young noble before her, Charlotte’s heart was shaken.

She had never imagined that in the center of the New Moon Diocese, in one of the cities where the Holy Royal Court’s power was strongest, so many of the Bloodline were still hidden!

Not only that, but these Bloodline mbers even dared to hold a banquet openly and even extend an invitation to her—an outsider noble!

"Count Castel, you need not put on such a serious face. We have thoroughly considered our decision to invite you to our banquet," said the young noble with a slight smile.

anwhile, all the nobles, servers, and maids in the banquet hall simultaneously turned their gaze toward Charlotte and smiled slightly.

Their movents were uniform, and even their smiling expressions were exactly the sa, like puppets controlled by soone.

Looking at this horrifying scene, Charlotte instantly felt numb, and her PTSD from dealing with living corpses when she had first crossed over was about to flare up.

The music in the banquet hall quietly changed, no longer the lodious sound typical of banquets, replaced by an exaggerated soprano and tenor, strange and solemn.

At so point, clouds obscured the moonlight, and the lights in the hall quietly dimd from bright to dark, casting eerie, indistinct shadows.

The red wine on the servers’ trays beca more conspicuous, and the thick scent of blood rushed to her face.

Pairs of crimson eyes lit up in the dim light, all looking straight at Charlotte.

Subtle waves of Divine Power ca through, carrying a kind of power that twisted the heart.

It was Fallen Divine Skill.

Fortunately, with the Blood Holy Scripture in hand, this level of Divine Power interference was completely ineffective against Charlotte due to Divine Technique Counter.

But Charlotte beca even more vigilant.

Her gaze swept over the Bloodline in the banquet hall, finally resting on the young noble leading them:

"Are you... the Blood Demon Church? Being so brazen, aren’t you afraid of facing the Holy Royal Court’s judgnt?"

Upon hearing Charlotte’s words, the young noble smiled indifferently.

He picked up a cup of crimson blood from a server’s tray, drank it elegantly, and then said:

"Count Castel, there’s no need for testing. If we are holding a banquet here, naturally, we’re not worried about discovery by the Holy Royal Court."

Charlotte fell silent.

She swiftly pondered the aning behind his answer, while inconspicuously she asked:

"What exactly is your purpose in inviting here?"

The young noble smiled faintly.

He respectfully perford an ancient Bloodline ceremonial gesture and then said:

"Count Castel... no, perhaps more accurately, Your Majesty, our Duke wishes to et with you in person, which is why you were invited here..."

Your Majesty!

They’re addressing as Your Majesty!

Charlotte’s mood sank.

She narrowed her eyes slightly:

"I don’t quite understand what you’re talking about."

The young noble smiled again:

"Respected Your Majesty, there’s no need to continue the charade. Indeed, you’ve hidden yourself very well, but before our great Duke, all disguises are aningless."

"The thorny rose is your Holy Emblem, the Dark Night’s castle is your Divine Domain, your power—none of the Your Majesties will forget it, and your return has been foreseen by all of the Your Majesties."

"From the mont you descended upon Bold, the Duke had been aware of your presence and had been preparing for your arrival, all to et with you..."

I’ve been exposed...

Charlotte’s heart sank.

And following that was confusion:

When had she been exposed?

She knew that the Nais Clan had been aware that there was a "God" behind her.

Considering that the Shedite Clan previously had a spy in the Nais Clan, the Blood Demon Church likely received related ssages.

But knowing there was a "God" behind her and knowing she was that "God" were two different things.

Not to ntion... from their tone, they already knew she was the "Blood True Ancestor"!

Where had the problem occurred?

Charlotte was puzzled.

She thought she had concealed her identity quite adequately; all beings that might have recognized her were either dealt with or won over.

Under these circumstances, how did the Blood Demon Church find out?

Charlotte felt that sothing was not quite right.

Sowhere in her mind, she sensed an inconsistency, but she couldn’t pinpoint what was amiss.

However, now was not the ti to agonize over how she had exposed herself...

The words of the young noble filled Charlotte with a heavy suspicion:

"You said the Blood Demon Duke wants to see ... from what you’re saying, could it be that He has already descended?"

The corners of the young noble’s mouth curved into a sinister arc.

He smiled and gradually took on a fanatical expression:

"Yes, Your Majesty, Duke His Grace has indeed arrived."

"And we have you to thank for that. The commotion you caused in the Northern Land attracted the attention of several legends from the New Moon Diocese, giving us our chance..."

Upon hearing the young noble’s words, Charlotte’s heart sank.

She understood what he ant.

The Blood Demon Duke had already descended, and... it was probably in the Royal Capital that He descended.

No wonder...

No wonder the Blood Demon Church dared to brazenly hold a banquet right under the Church’s nose, with so many of the Bloodline present.

If the Blood Demon Duke had successfully descended, then everything made sense.

With a myth living among them, concealing a gathering of Bloodline would be all too easy.

More extravagantly, it was possible that the entire Royal Capital was already under the Blood Demon Duke’s control!

Charlotte was starting to regret her decision.

She shouldn’t have attended this banquet.

Clearly, this banquet was targeted at her.

She began to contemplate whether to perform the True Ancestor Liberation.

She did not believe that the Blood Demon Duke sought an audience with her out of goodwill.

If her true circumstances were discovered, her end would likely be quite tragic.

Fortunately, even if the Blood Demon Duke had already arrived, considering the short duration since His descent, His power might be limited. If she perford the True Ancestor Liberation, she would not be without the strength to fight.

However, the sense of unease in Charlotte’s heart grew stronger.

Especially as she considered unleashing the True Ancestor Liberation, for so reason, there was an indescribable resistance deep within her.

She felt as though she was overlooking sothing, and the sense of discord in her heart strengthened.

"Well then, Your Majesty, let us leave the rest of the ti to the great Duke His Grace,"

said the young noble with a smile.

After these words, his expression turned frenzied and fervent.

The young noble suddenly stepped aside, revealing a mysterious Divine Statue behind him. He drew the symbol of a demon’s eye on his chest and fervently said:

"The ruler who wanders between the abyss and the present world..."

"The embodint of corruption and decay..."

"The Savior of the Descendants of Blood..."

"Great Duke Your Grace! The Blood True Ancestor has appeared, and Your humble servant beckons Your descent..."

As he finished speaking, the strange Divine Statue emitted a red glow, and an ancient and vast aura slowly descended...

In Charlotte’s shocked gaze, an enormous figure shrouded in dark red light began to erge in the banquet hall.

One couldn’t make out the face of the dark red giant, but rely gazing upon Him induced a dizzying sensation.

He looked indifferently at Charlotte, his icy voice devoid of emotion:

"Blood True Ancestor, your power... I will take it."

Dark red Divine Power erupted, bearing a kind of force capable of warping one’s heart.

As this Divine Power swept over the Bloodline present, they all showed expressions of ecstatic frenzy.

Then, these Bloodline "lted" one after another, turning into pools of blood absorbed by the dark red giant...

In an instant, all Bloodline in the banquet hall were devoured by the giant, and His power further intensified!

After devouring the Bloodline, the malevolent Divine Power did not stop, but surged towards Charlotte...

Charlotte’s expression changed drastically.

She channeled Divine Power—the Blood Holy Scripture operated on its own, and the Divine Technique Counter was also activated.

Terror-stricken Divine Power quickly engulfed her, making Charlotte feel a burning and corroding pain spreading throughout her body.

The Blood Holy Scripture’s radiance intensified, and the Divine Technique Counter was strengthened.

The power of the Holy Scripture contested the dark red Divine Power for a full minute before Charlotte barely managed to withstand the attack.

Charlotte took a deep breath, preparing to bet her life on the True Ancestor Liberation. But the mont she decided to fully unleash the Blood Divine Power, she abruptly stopped.

Feeling the power of the Blood Holy Scripture within, and gazing at the terrifying red giant before her, Charlotte’s expression turned peculiar.

She... seed to understand where the discord lay.

The Divine Technique Counter she employed today did not manifest ancient and mysterious characters in her vision as it had before...
