"Oh? Discovered this place so quickly? Castel’s speed is rather remarkable..."

Upon hearing the girl’s words, the male noble showed surprise. He thought for a mont and then said,

"It’s likely that the secret passageways in the castle were found, and that’s how they ca so quickly. It must be Castel’s vanguard..."

The Blood Demon Priest’s gaze, however, sharpened.

Different from the male noble, as an experienced Blood Demon Priest, he knew that at this critical mont, Odosia’s reaction was definitely not as simple as soone breaking in here.

Not to ntion, it also resulted in the destruction of her avatar...

"Who is it?"

His expression beca serious as he asked.

Odosia closed her eyes to sense for a mont, then replied,

"It’s a familiar presence, likely that Elf who has sided with Castel whom we t before... And there’s also the presence of a Bloodline, very strong, stronger than him."

"Elf? Sebastian? Bloodline?"

The Blood Demon Priest was slightly stunned, then his expression turned solemn.

He exchanged a look with the girl, both of them seeing a trace of gravity in each other’s eyes.

An Elf whose strength had fallen to that of the Blazing Sun was not enough to consider him a formidable enemy, but the problem is, after the last encounter, he knew that the Elf had probably regained his strength.

And a Blazing Sun, that was troubleso.

Add to that a Bloodline with strength at least equal to the Blazing Sun, perhaps even stronger, it was even more of a problem.

Although he could activate Fallen Divine Grace and borrow the power of the deity to gain the strength to fight back, it would only be a short-term resistance.

If he couldn’t achieve a quick victory, it would be full of uncertainties.

"Odosia, stop the ritual. Take the container and the core of the offering, we’re retreating."

The Blood Demon Priest decisively stated.

The middle-aged noble was montarily stunned:

"Retreat? Priest, you’re saying we retreat?"

"No, we have prepared for this day for so long, even sacrificing the entire Legris Family, why retreat all of a sudden?"

The Blood Demon Priest gave him a look:

"The Third Prince has already failed, and this ritual was a hasty asure taken out of necessity..."

"The one breaking in is not an ordinary person, but a Blazing Sun. A Blazing Sun’s battle causes too much noise, the risk is too high, not to ntion there’s more than one!"

"I’ve seen Sebastian. It would be impossible for him to regain his strength on his own, yet he has recovered..."

"Lord Chait, you are already a core believer of the Blood Demon Church, and are aware of so intelligence we have gathered. I think... you should know what this ans..."

On hearing the Blood Demon Priest’s words, the expression of the male noble changed.

The Blood Demon Church had been plotting in the Northern Land for many years, the most important of which was to secretly gain control of the Northern Land through the ambitions of various factions, building up forces for the Blood Demon Duke’s descent.

Of course, after the failure of the Divine Descent ritual in Bold City, they had an additional task: to use the Ancient Hall hidden beneath the Northern Land to attempt to summon the Blood Demon Duke again.

However, ever since the Divine Descent ritual in Bold was thwarted by a mysterious "deity", the Blood Demon Church had been suffering from setbacks, with every plan almost falling apart at the critical mont...

The people of the Blood Demon Church were not fools.

The targeted actions over the past year were too blatant, and all stemd from the failed Divine Descent that occurred over a year ago in Bold and the mysterious deity referred to as the "Dark Night God" by the Holy Royal Court.

"Is it... that mysterious Evil God? Are you suggesting that behind him stands that mysterious Evil God?!"

The noble gasped in shock.

"It’s not impossible."

The Blood Demon Priest said gravely.

Having said that, he began to pack up the items used for the offering and said as he worked:

"Finding a suitable container is difficult, and accumulating the core of the sacrifice also requires effort, but there is more than one Ancient Hall..."

"Not to ntion, the power that remained here has already been obtained by us, and even if we leave this place, we can find another location to conduct the ritual again."

As he spoke, the Blood Demon Priest took out a crystal-clear Divine Statue from his bosom.

The Divine Statue was identical to the one worshiped in the Ancient Hall, its features unclear and emitting a misty brilliance, as if it harbored so mysterious power.

"Concerning the grand plan of His Grace, the Duke, it’s always better to be cautious," the Blood Demon Priest put away the Divine Statue and said.

"Then... what should be done with her?" A noble pointed to Viscountess Lola Legris, who was lying unconscious not far away.

The Priest’s gaze flickered:

"She’s rely an offering; it’s a pity, but we can’t afford to bring too much baggage, deal with it."

After saying this, his eyes signaled Odosia, but the girl did not take action.

"Odosia?"

The Blood Demon Priest frowned.

"Let’s keep her, it’s very difficult to accumulate power again; it’s useful to have her for later," the girl said.

The Blood Demon Priest hesitated for a mont, then squinted at Odosia and Lola, speaking gravely:

"Then leave her here. Mark her so we can have an opportunity to take her away later."

The male noble was not satisfied with this decision, but seeing that the two had already made up their minds, he could only look at Lola on the ground with regret, sowhat unwillingly following the retreat.

...

Following this, Sebastian and Yulster encountered no further hindrance.

They proceeded unimpeded until they reached the majestic Divine Hall.

When they arrived, the Blood Demon Church’s presence was no longer within the Divine Hall, only the vast blood pool and the bodies of nurous mbers of the Legris family scattered around, indicating that a sacrifice had just taken place here.

"It’s the Blasphemy Cross, the Blood Demon Duke’s sacrificial artifact, capable of blocking the detection of other beings," Yulster said as he looked at the cross in the blood pool.

He soon noticed the unconscious Lola lying on the ground.

"A mber of the Bloodline?"

Sensing the aura emanating from her, Yulster was sowhat surprised.

Sebastian, however, was not very surprised:

"It’s Lola, the Family Head of the Legris clan."

As he spoke, he glanced around and said:

"It seems the Legris Family has been abandoned by the Blood Demon Church; perhaps our recent commotion alard them, and they chose to withdraw."

"Heh, these fellows... have beco more vigilant," Yulster said, closing his eyes and taking a deep breath, then furrowing his brows:

"With the Blasphemy Cross in place, they didn’t leave behind any trace. It won’t be easy to track them."

"What do you think? Should we pursue them?"

"No need for such trouble..."

Sebastian shook his head.

He walked towards the center of the altar, looking at the Demon’s eye pattern on the cross, and the thorny rose symbol etched beneath it with a cat’s paw, his expression sowhat strange:

"They carry with them the locator of the True Ancestor; now that they’ve left this place, the True Ancestor must already know where they are."
