"Na?"
"Ah... Agnes."
"Last na?"
"..."
"Who is your Bloodline elder? When and how did you beco a Bloodline?"
"..."
In the interrogation room of the Count Mansion, Charlotte sat elegantly behind the interrogation table, sipping the red tea prepared by Sebastian while interrogating the Bloodline girl who was tightly bound.
As for why it wasn’t milk... it was simply because she felt that drinking that while interrogating soone didn’t seem quite serious.
However, it was clear that the girl in front of her was not cooperative. Apart from the na she reported at the beginning, Agnes responded to all of Charlotte’s questions with silence, looking at her with an unyielding face.
Charlotte wasn’t angry.
She gently caressed the Book of Undead on the table, and behind her, the vaguely manifested Book Spirit stood behind her carefully, pleasingly massaging her shoulders.
Charlotte took a sip of her tea and said with a smile,
"Miss Agnes, I have many ways to make you speak, however... I am a reasonable person and also understanding. Unless necessary, I don’t really want to use so extre asures."
"I hope, too, that you could be a little more cooperative, after all... my patience isn’t that great either."
Looking at Charlotte’s delicate hand caressing the Book of Undead, Agnes’s expression turned sowhat unsightly.
She pursed her lips and said stubbornly,
"I’ve been caught this ti! I have nothing to say, do as you will, kill or maim! But... I will never bow to Castel!"
"Castel... again, Castel. It seems you have quite a grudge against Castel, or should I say, hatred?"
Charlotte said with a slight smile.
Agnes turned her head away, keeping silent.
Charlotte put the teacup down, contemplative:
"Let guess? You were once a noble, could it be... you were an enemy of the Castel family in the past?"
Agnes remained silent.
Charlotte quietly watched her, suddenly chuckled softly:
"It seems you really don’t want to cooperate."
With that, her expression beca distant, and her deep blue pupils suddenly turned into blood-red, emitting a crimson halo.
A faint sense of majesty emanated from Charlotte as she looked into Agnes’s eyes, her cool voice leaving no room for debate,
"Answer my questions!"
As Charlotte lightly commanded, Agnes felt a thunderclap echo through her consciousness, causing her spirit to beco dazed.
At the sa ti, everything around her seed to fade, and in her world, there seed to be only that pair of crimson eyes with a faint flow of gold.
At that mont, Agnes felt as if her very soul was about to be sucked into those strange eyes.
Her thoughts rapidly slowed down, and then... as if opened from the outside, she lost all resistance and her eyes began to lose focus:
"de Willit, my na is Agnes de Willit..."
De Willit?
Charlotte frowned slightly, she couldn’t find this surna in her mory.
However, the next second, she felt a strong resistance coming from Agnes’s spirit.
The Bloodline girl’s body suddenly blood with a pale radiance, and a vague silhouette of a scythe lood behind her.
At the sa ti, Charlotte was surprised to sense that her control over Agnes had been severed by sothing.
Agnes’s empty gaze instantly refocused.
Her eyes suddenly widened, looking at Charlotte in disbelief, and even a trace of fear appeared on her face:
"Spirit Control! It’s Spirit Control!"
"How do you have the Bloodline’s Spirit Control?! You, you, you... are you a Bloodline?!"
Charlotte frowned, not expecting the girl to break free from her control so swiftly.
It seed that sothing within the Bloodline girl was protecting her spirit, and it was of a not insignificant level; without using Blood Divine Power, her Talent Magic was actually broken.
However, when Charlotte looked at Agnes again, she was surprised to find that the girl seed even more wilted.
Charlotte pondered.
It seed that although Agnes could break free from her control, it was not without cost.
If she applied Spirit Control a few more tis, the girl’s mind would eventually be completely dominated.
However, looking at Agnes’s wilted state, Charlotte decided against continuing to apply Spirit Control.
Spirit Control could dominate the target’s spirit, but it also had side effects. One ti might be okay, but if applied repeatedly, it could completely destroy the target’s spirit.
Charlotte wasn’t ready to take that step, as it contradicted her original intention of interrogating her. Considering her next steps, she had to ensure that the Bloodline girl before her preserved her ego.
Glancing at Agnes’s frightened expression, Charlotte’s lips curled slightly in a light laugh,
"It seems you recognize this power."
"If you don’t want to continue using it, then answer my questions truthfully."
Agnes’s expression was sowhat troubled and uncertain.
She pursed her lips, still stubbornly silent, even knowing that she could very well collapse completely under continuous Spirit Control.
However, Charlotte noticed that the girl’s sidelong glances were uneasily sweeping the surroundings, as if searching for sothing.
