Kurosaki Isshin had only ever heard the na Yhwach in passing. According to the records of the Soul Society, he was the progenitor of the Quincy, defeated and sealed by Yamamoto Genryūsai over nine hundred years ago.

"That's right," Shiraha said with a faint smile. "Yhwach has already broken free of his seal. His consciousness has returned, and in a few years he will unleash the ritual of Auswählen—the so-called sanctification. He will steal the power of every mixed-blood Quincy across the world to restore his own."

Yoruichi and Tessai stiffened at his words. Urahara tilted his head, fanning himself slowly.

"Yhwach has broken the seal? And he intends to launch Auswählen? Shiraha, how in the world do you know this?" Urahara asked. His voice was light, but there was steel beneath. This kind of knowledge was buried even deeper than the archives of Central 46. Even Yamamoto Genryūsai himself would not know the exact timing. By all logic, Shiraha should have no way of knowing.

"This is my ability," Shiraha replied calmly, his smile never fading. "Forgive , but I can't explain further."

He offered nothing else, but his intent was clear. He had spoken so that Urahara Kisuke would have ti to prepare. Because as Shiraha was now, even his power would not be enough. Against soone all-knowing and all-powerful like Yhwach, even Aizen's sches seed small. Unless Shiraha gained a stronger template still, defeat was certain.

Isshin frowned. "But Captain Shiraha, Masaki is a pure-blood Quincy. Shouldn't that an Auswählen has nothing to do with her?"

Isshin understood well what his wife was. Masaki Kurosaki was of true Quincy lineage, pure and unbroken.

Urahara set his fan aside and spoke gravely. "Mr. Kurosaki, don't forget. The day Masaki saved you from White, she was bitten, and Hollow reiryoku fused with her soul. That ans she is no longer a true Quincy in the eyes of Yhwach. She carries Hollow inside her. That makes her impure—and Auswählen will strike her as well."

The air grew heavy. Even with Isshin's Shinigami power used to restrain the Hollow within her, Masaki still carried that infection.

Isshin's voice was tight, urgent. "Then, Captain Shiraha—since you know this, you must have a way to stop it. Don't you?"

If what Shiraha said was true, the danger extended beyond Masaki. Any child born of Shinigami and Quincy blood would also be marked by that curse. Which ant their children—Ichigo above all—would not be spared.

But Shiraha only shook his head. "Mr. Kurosaki, I cannot prevent Auswählen. Even so, do not let despair consu you. When your wife's Quincy power is stripped away, she will not die. She will simply live on as an ordinary human." His tone was calm, almost gentle.

Isshin drew a long breath. The boulder on his chest eased. If Masaki only lost her Quincy power, they could endure it. The worst he had feared—the loss of her life—would not co to pass.

"As long as she lives, that is enough."

Shiraha's smile thinned. "Still, if you are troubled, perhaps ask Mr. Urahara to research a counterasure. If anyone could uncover a way to hinder Auswählen, it would be him."

Hope flickered in Isshin's eyes as he turned to Urahara.

But Urahara only threw up his hands. "Please, Mr. Kurosaki, don't look at like that. We are talking about Yhwach—the progenitor himself. If even Shiraha has no thod, what do you expect of ?" He forced a laugh, though unease coiled in his voice. "Perhaps with a decade of preparation, I could attempt sothing. But in a few short years? Impossible."

Isshin nodded, resigned. He bowed deeply to Shiraha. "Captain Shiraha, thank you for warning . If ever you need my help, you need only ask."

Shiraha's eyes glinted. "Mr. Kurosaki, then I won't be polite when that ti cos."

To him, Isshin looked like an ordinary man now, stripped of his Shinigami powers. But Shiraha knew the truth. When Ichigo's Hollow powers awakened in the future, Isshin's own would stir again. When that day ca, Shiraha might truly call upon him.

"I'll leave you be," Isshin said at last, and with a final nod to Urahara and Shiraha, he stepped out of the shop.

The silence stretched, broken only when Urahara gave a curious chuckle. "Strange. Shiraha, that wasn't like you at all."

Shiraha's smile faded into sothing sharper. "Mr. Urahara, we are no longer facing Aizen alone. Yhwach is stirring as well. Ti is not on our side."

Urahara said nothing. He only lowered his head. He understood well enough—Shiraha's words were not exaggeration. Their years were slipping away.

Yoruichi, who had been silent until now, leaned back with a sly grin. "Brother Shiraha, I never expected you to know things even the Head Captain does not. Tell , is there anything you don't know?"

Shiraha chuckled. "Of course there is. For instance, how does Lady Yoruichi shift so easily between human and cat?" His hand darted out, ruffling the fur on her head with mock curiosity.

Yoruichi narrowed her golden eyes, tail twitching. "That's a secret." She wriggled free from his teasing grip and padded away toward the back of the shop.

Shiraha shook his head with a laugh.

Ti slipped by. Four years passed in Karakura Town.

By his third year there, news from the Soul Society reached him. Renji Abarai, Kira Izuru, Hinamori Momo, and Kuchiki Rukia had all graduated from the Shinō Academy. But unlike the path of the original tiline, their postings had shifted. Renji had joined the Eleventh Division, where he now held the Sixth Seat. Kira and Hinamori had been assigned to Shiraha's own Seventh Division. Kira had already risen to Fifth Seat, while Hinamori remained an unseated officer. Rukia, as in the records of fate, entered the Thirteenth Division.

During those six years, Shiraha continued to refine himself—studying Kidō under Tessai Tsukabishi, mastering Shunpo from the Goddess of Flash herself, Yoruichi.

In his second year living within the Urahara Shop, Kisuke returned one evening with two children: Hanakari Jinta and Tsumugiya Ururu. They worked odd jobs in the store, sweeping, carrying goods, helping custors. On the surface they were only children, yet Shiraha could sense the truth. Their spiritual pressure was unusual, and the hidden strength within them rivaled that of seated Shinigami.

It did not take much deduction. To Shiraha, it was clear: Jinta and Ururu were no ordinary children. They were modified souls, crafted by Urahara Kisuke himself.
