News of a newcor joining the Wandenreich spread like wildfire.

From the Sternritter Knights down to the rank-and-file troops, everyone had heard about it — not because this newcor was particularly strong, but because his way of doing things was bizarre.

Every fighting force was vital to the Wandenreich, as they would eventually wage war against the Shinigami of Soul Society.

Jugram regularly recruited soldiers for the empire, mostly pure-blooded Quincy from the World of the Living. The addition of new recruits was nothing unusual.

But who had ever heard of a newcor beating up everyone, including the instructor, on his first day of training?

He even made outrageous claims that such weaklings weren't worthy of serving His Majesty Haschwalth.

The initial incident might have been acceptable — after all, geniuses occasionally appeared among new recruits. But what he shouted afterward was truly problematic.

The Wandenreich had one and only one emperor — His Majesty, Yhwach.

With Yhwach in slumber, Jugram Haschwalth handled most of the Empire's affairs. Even the Sternritter and rank-and-file soldiers had accepted his position as acting emperor.

Everyone showed him respect, not just publicly but privately too, speaking of him with genuine admiration. To most Quincy soldiers, Yhwach had appeared fewer tis in a thousand years than Jugram appeared in a single day.

The false emperor, Yhwach.

The true emperor, Jugram Haschwalth!

"Rember this. Don't ntion Yhwach's na in front of again!" Akira sneered, stepping on the head of a self-proclaid holy soldier, "In my heart, there is only one emperor — His Majesty Haschwalth!"

With those words, he delivered a swift kick, sending the several-ter-tall body flying backward. It crashed violently into the corridor's end wall, causing it to collapse in clouds of dust.

"These new recruits sure are energetic!" A figure erged from the ruins, "Not only beating up their seniors but speaking disrespectfully about His Majesty. Hey, soone like you will be executed at the Second Tower's execution ground."

Akira looked toward the voice.

The speaker cut a stylish figure — tall, with an arrogant expression and scrutinizing blue-green eyes. Most striking was his purple-red mohawk hairstyle.

"Execution?" Akira frowned in confusion, "Does His Majesty not like people pledging loyalty to him? I deeply admire His Majesty Haschwalth. Being able to serve soone like him is my life's greatest honor."

Bazz-B: "?"

Is this kid's brain not working right?

Although he also disliked the sleeping Yhwach, he had never proclaid it so openly in public. If any of Yhwach's die-hard followers caught wind of such talk, even a hundred lives wouldn't be enough to pay for it.

Yet honestly, these words struck a chord with him — even more than complints about his style.

As one of the few rebels in the Wandenreich, Bazz-B's motives for joining had been far from pure.

When Yhwach first conquered the northern territories, Bazz-B witnessed him burn down his hotown. From that day forward, killing that monster beca his life's goal. He joined the Sternritter to beco Yhwach's guard, seeking an opportunity for revenge.

Though he had challenged Jugram many tis to take his position, he was always refused.

This constant rejection only fueled Bazz-B's volatile temper.

Yet he wasn't foolish. He knew clearly that his hatred was for Yhwach alone, not his forr friend.

So when another rebel erged from the crowd, he felt an imdiate kinship. At first glance, he recognized a kindred spirit.

If the Wandenreich were full of rebels like Hashirama, how could Yhwach possibly survive?

The more Bazz-B considered this, the more it made sense, and his gaze toward Akira softened.

"You're quite stubborn." He grinned, "Well, it's understandable that newcors don't know, but rember, the Wandenreich has only one emperor. That would be Yh—"

Before he could finish speaking, Bazz-B's smile froze, his pupils contracted, and he instinctively summoned intense flas before him.

A rocket trailing a long wake scread through the sky with a piercing whistle.

BOOM!!

The ground shook as dust and smoke surged skyward, a mushroom cloud rising near the Third Tower of the Knights.

Countless Quincy stared dumbfounded at the distant scene, their thoughts converging into a single question:

"Have the Shinigami from Soul Society attacked?"

Under the rolling dust clouds, Akira blew the smoke from his personal rocket launcher and let out a disdainful snort.

"I told you, the Wandenreich has only one emperor. That's Lord Haschwalth."

Bazz-B stumbled from the dust cloud and tried to speak, but first coughed up a cloud of smoke.

Caught off guard, his erupting flas had failed to form an effective defense. The rocket's attack had been terrifyingly powerful — its impact force even exceeding the burst of his Schrift { H }.

"You bastard, do you know what you're doing?" Bazz-B raged, "I'm going to kill you!"

As his words fell, his Reiatsu exploded. Scorching heat gathered at his feet as he stomped down hard. Heat waves rolled out instantly, sweeping dust in all directions.

He shot forward, appearing before Akira in a flash.

From his experience with Quincy, those who used long-range Spirit Weapons usually faltered in close combat. Once an enemy closed the distance, they beca helpless prey.

⤫ Burning Finger 1! ⤬

Intense flas surged forth as violent heat waves filled the ruined street, heading straight for the figure ahead.

Watching the scene before him, Akira spread his fingers, extended his arm, and reached toward the flas. Blue-black patterns appeared on his palm.

⤫ Blut Vene ⥤ Stilled Blood Guise! ⤬

Among Quincy combat spirit techniques, it represented the strongest defense.

Bazz-B's expression darkened slightly; although he admired this kid, such arrogance would co at a price. Even other Sternritter mbers couldn't withstand his flas through Blut Vene.

A re newcor...

The mont the flas touched his palm, Bazz-B's eyes widened.

The flas that could incinerate everything were completely blocked by his palm. The patterns of Blut Vene glowed faintly within the flas, flickering as if they might leap from his skin.

"Is that all?" Akira smiled disdainfully, "The fire from my old man's tea stove burns hotter than this."

As his fingers closed, he forcibly extinguished the Schrift's scorching flas.

Looking down, a fiendish grin reflected in Bazz-B's eyes.

Crazy Mode activated.

As the demon closed in, Bazz-B's expression changed dramatically. He extended four fingers, gathering intense heat that ford blade-like burst flas.

But before he could unleash them, a right hand wrapped in Blut Vene reached out and once again extinguished the burst flas.

Next, Akira's left hand shot forward, gripping Bazz-B's head tightly as he lifted him into the air.

Then, he violently slamd him into the ground!

BOOM!!

The solid ground cracked and lifted in layers as dust exploded outward, sweeping in all directions. In the aftermath, Seiren (Sacred Training) Ground's Silbern Tower Seven lay in complete ruins.

In the rolling dust, Akira lifted the unconscious Bazz-B and shook his head in disappointnt.

Weren't the Sternritter supposed to be incredibly strong? Why was his ability to take hits even worse than Kisuke's?

If this was all they had to offer, he'd have to uphold the proud traditions of the 11th Division.

When the dust finally settled, the Quincy soldiers cautiously investigated. But the devastated battlefield was empty.

A Sternritter mber, Bazz-B, had been defeated — by a newcor without even a Schrift.

The battle had been completely one-sided, with Bazz-B unable to mount any defense. The Quincy soldiers who witnessed it embellished the details as they spread the tale.

Soon, the news echoed throughout Wandenreich.

When Bazz-B regained consciousness, his first sensation was a splitting headache. His head felt as if it had been thrown into a blender and spun for three days straight, turning his brain to mush.

"You're awake."

A strange yet sohow familiar voice beside him made his hair stand on end.

"The surgery was successful. You can now join an Idol Girl Group and make your debut."

Bazz-B: "?"

What idol? What girl group? What unforgivable things have you done to ?!

Ignoring his throbbing head, he flipped over and got up, turning to examine himself carefully.

After a mont, he let out a sigh of relief. Everything that should be there was still there — nothing missing, nothing strange added. He was still the sa cool and handso Bazz-B.

"I heard about it." Akira said, leaning against the wall and chewing on a grass root he'd picked up sowhere, "The Heat Bazz-B, right? The one whose holand Yhwach massacred. I never thought you'd willingly serve your sworn enemy. Your magnanimity far exceeds mine."

Having his old wounds so brutally exposed — with salt rubbed in them, no less — Bazz-B's vision went dark. He nearly passed out again.

"It's just a temporary asure!" He gritted through his teeth resentfully, "Once I beco stronger, I'll definitely kill Yhwach and avenge my people!"

Hearing this, Akira's eyes lit up, "Excellent, that's how a real man should act! Why don't we work together?"

Bazz-B looked confused, feeling like things were developing in a strange direction.

In Silbern Tower One, the highest palace.

Listening to the soldier's report, Jugram's brows furrowed so deeply they nearly ford a single line.

He had been busy lately analyzing intelligence about Soul Society, which led him to neglect the managent of Wandenreich. He never expected such a major incident would occur.

The newcor Hashirama Senju had defeated multiple Sternritter mbers and declared his loyalty only to His Majesty Haschwalth. But strangely, none of those he defeated showed any hatred toward him — perhaps they agreed with his ideals.

Those defeated Sternritter mbers got along quite well with Hashirama, even spending their days together promoting the "One Emperor" theory.

Jugram wasn't too worried about such troublemakers.

Because anyone who witnessed His Majesty Yhwach's power would willingly submit. The Wandenreich had only one emperor.

After pondering for a mont, he said to the soldier below the palace, "Have Hashirama Senju co see ."

Soon, a young man wearing a white uniform arrived at the palace.

"Your Majesty Haschwalth, you called for ?"

Jugram's mouth twitched at this form of address.

"Don't call that. I called you here to correct your thinking. Since you've defeated multiple Sternritter mbers, you've proven yourself qualified to beco one. Co with . After the ceremony, you'll witness His Majesty's true power."

Akira furrowed his brows.

He had co to the Wandenreich mainly for Pernida Parnkgjas and to cause trouble for the Quincy. Becoming a Sternritter mber wasn't exactly part of the plan.

But since his Danger Instinct hadn't raised any alarms, it probably wasn't too serious. Worth a shot.

Jugram rose from his throne and walked toward another corridor in the palace, Akira following closely behind.

In the deep corridor, grayish-white lights floated, creating an eerie atmosphere.

He had to admit, the Wandenreich's atmosphere couldn't compare to Las Noches. No wonder the Quincy were all clamoring to conquer Soul Society — living in this environnt would make anyone depressed.

Soon, the two stopped before a room.

Jugram took out his Quincy Cross, infused it with Reiatsu, and a faint blue light emanated from it as the door opened in response.

The room was vast, with a star dallion embedded with the Quincy Zeichen (Destruction Mark or Symbol) mounted in the highest position.

"This is the symbol of His Majesty Yhwach's power." Jugram explained, "It's also the sacred object that bestows Schrifts upon Sternritter mbers. With His Majesty in slumber, the task of bestowing power has fallen to ."

Akira's eyes widened as he curiously observed the star dallion.

During his few days with the Quincy, he had learned that the Sternritter still had many vacant positions. Most rank-and-file Quincy strove to beco mbers.

He just hadn't expected Jugram would try to make him a Sternritter mber.

"A Schrift, huh." An expression of longing appeared on Akira's face.

Seeing this, Jugram gave an almost imperceptible nod, raised the star dallion toward Akira, and his eyes suddenly turned blood red.

Soul Distribution Power.

In the next mont, a beam of light burst forth from the star dallion, enveloping the figure before him!
