"Xue Xue?"
The girl imdiately beca excited, "Xiao Wu, how did you know it was ? This face is freshly peeled off so other girl’s, all tender and lovely. I thought this ti I might fool you... Ah, it must be because you like so much that we have so sort of telepathic bond... Hee hee hee, I just knew Xiao Wu’s favorite girl is . Those other vixens are just passing entertainnt. Don’t worry, Xiao Wu, one day I’ll kill all of them."
Those lunatic vixens probably have the sa idea,
Dark Star took a sip of milk tea and couldn’t help but frown, "Why does it have a tallic taste?"
The girl looked smug and said, "I just ambushed Liang Jiqiu earlier, drained about half a liter of her blood. I thought it would be a waste not to use it, so I added it to the milk tea. So, Xiao Wu, how does it taste?"
Liang Jiqiu was one of the mbers of ’Dark Star Mont’...
I really shouldn’t have taken that sip... Swallowing the nausea that churned in his stomach, Dark Star forced an impassive expression, took another two sips, and said:
"It’s okay."
The girl bead with a radiant smile, "I knew you’d like it, Xiao Wu. Just wait, if I get the chance, I’ll drain the blood of ’Li Qiqi’ and the others too, boil more milk tea for you, and their bones—oh, their bones can’t go to waste—I’ll make so broth, it’s so flavorful. Oh, and the organs and facial features too, those are top-notch ingredients. I’ll use them to nourish you, Xiao Wu."
Heh, heh, heh, I’m just worried that one day I’ll end up in the pot myself.
Dark Star kept sipping the human blood milk tea, using the straw to plug his lips, so he wouldn’t have to converse with this "psychotic beauty."
"Ew, what a rancid stench... Oh no, it’s ’Li Qiqi’ and ’Liang Jiqiu.’ Xiao Wu, I need to leave now, or if they catch , I’ll be the one turned into soup..."
The girl stood up, ready to take off, but as if she’d just thought of sothing, she blinked her big eyes and said seriously, "Xiao Wu, don’t misunderstand, we’re just playing around and absolutely not killing each other for real. Yes, yes, we all love each other deeply."
Dark Star nodded, "I know, because you all are my wings."
"But you’ve got too many wings. What if I snap a few off to roast... Ahem, Xiao Wu, you didn’t hear anything just now, right? Okay, I’m off now, see you later!"
The girl darted out of the milk tea shop, vanishing at the doorway.
Not long after, two other girls entered ’Autumn Milk Tea Shop’: one was a tall, domineering woman with a mature charisma, and the other was a petite 4’9 goth girl. Their gazes scanned the room. Finding no target, they too hastily left.
Dark Star crawled out from under the counter. His face twitched as he ground his teeth and clenched his fists tightly...
When will this nightmare life ever end?
He wondered if the powerful figure he’d contacted had received his ssage, and if they’d actually co to help him in this cursed city.
"Huh, lucky , found a coin on the ground! Even ants are at, right? Save it for a popsicle." A voice suddenly ca from nearby.
The speaker was also a server at the ’Autumn Milk Tea Shop,’ a cheerful-looking girl who tucked the coin into her pocket, clearly in high spirits.
A coin?
Dark Star moved closer excitedly. "Xiaoi, where did you find that coin?"
The girl instinctively replied, "On table 13, weirdly enough. No one even placed any orders there. How would money end up there?"
Table 13. A coin?
Wasn’t that the code he’d agreed upon with the ’Dark Crow of Profane Fortune’ for their rendezvous in the real world?
Dark Star’s gut scread intuition. The big shot was here—the coin on table 13 had to be their signal, and now they were waiting for him at the Changling Road tro station by Line 2.
Dark Star wasted no ti, imdiately abandoning the shop and running out. He was so focused he didn’t notice the covert gazes following him.
"Eh? Xiao Wu left? Where’s he running off to?" The speaker was the girl who’d earlier served him the blood-infused milk tea. She was currently hiding from the pursuit of ’Li Qiqi’ and ’Liang Jiqiu,’ yet still scheming for a chance to drain their blood together.
She thought carefully to herself:
"Xiao Wu said blending into the crowd is the best way to avoid detection by the ’Deceit Bureau,’ which is why he works at a milk tea shop. He’s never been late or left early even once all this ti. Now, in such a rush... Sothing’s definitely up."
"Wait a second, could another skanky bitch be seducing Xiao Wu? No way, I’ve got to go check."
She stealthily followed.
anwhile, the tall mature woman and the tiny goth girl also noticed Dark Star’s hurried exit. Sa thoughts as the blood-draining girl—another skank had to be after Xiao Wu. Exchanging murderous glances, they followed suit.
At the sa ti,
A custor leaving the ’Autumn Milk Tea Shop’ with a tea in hand scratched the back of his head and muttered, "Weird, why did I suddenly feel like putting a coin on table 13? Ah, forget it... Glug glug, this milk tea tastes amazing."
Dark Star’s pace wasn’t slow. Within seven minutes, he reached the Changling Road tro Line 2 station, three minutes earlier than planned.
At 2 PM—it wasn’t rush hour, nor was it a weekend—the platform looked sparse, a bit desolate. Dark Star’s eyes scanned every passenger coming and going. Thinking about eting the ’Dark Crow of Profane Fortune’ soon, his heart raced with nervous anticipation.
Suddenly, a figure stopped right in front of him. Short, with a backpack and thick glasses—shockingly, it was a bookish student.
Dark Star tentatively asked, "’Dark Crow of Profane Fortune,’ sir?"
The bookish student replied, "Huh? Who’s ’Dark Crow of Profane Fortune’?"
It wasn’t him?
Dark Star’s disappointnt was imnse. Turning away, he continued searching for the fabled figure.
After scanning the station and returning his gaze to the front, Dark Star realized the bookish student hadn’t left. Frowning, he asked, "Do you still need sothing?"
The student shook his head nervously, stamring, "N-no, nothing."
Dark Star said, "Then why are you standing in front of if there’s nothing?"
The student seed flustered, "I, I... I don’t know why... I’m just... standing here."
What the hell? At such a critical ti, and he had to deal with an idiot.
Feeling increasingly unlucky, Dark Star shifted slightly to head elsewhere.
The student moved closer again. "Oh, right, there’s a phrase... that’s been... circling in my mind. I don’t... know why... but when I got here... I just couldn’t help... saying it aloud."
Sothing’s off about this "bookish student." Did he co looking for ?
Dark Star instantly felt uneasy, preparing to react, when an eerie, bizarre voice suddenly filled the air.
"’Beauty God’s Appearance,’ dude, you’ve got so nerve. With twelve concubines like that, and the life of a king, you still co to —a poor bachelor—for help? Let this prank be your punishnt. Play again, and I’ll crush you."
Dark Star exclaid, "What did you say?"
The student’s eyes beca even more vacant. "I-I don’t know... what I’m saying?"
"Dark Crow of Profane Fortune," pleaded Dark Star, "Don’t ss with . My so-called harem are all ’psychotic beauties.’ They want to eat —physically eat ! Please, I’m begging you, save !"
"I-I don’t understand what you’re saying. I don’t know any ’Dark Crow of Profane Fortune.’ I-I have to go to school now, or my teacher will punish ..."
Without another word, the student scurried off, disappearing into the Line 2 tunnel.
Looks like the ’Dark Crow of Profane Fortune’ discovered sothing about and got upset... This misunderstanding is severe. Crestfallen, Dark Star prepared to leave as well.
But before he could step away, a bone-chilling voice laced with madness pierced his eardrums. "Xiao Wu, haven’t I been good to you? Why would you call a psychotic beauty? Why would you seek help from outsiders? Why would you try to run? Why, why, why...?"
Dark Star froze in place, his scalp prickling. Turning around, he saw the girl behind him. It was Xue Xue, the one who’d given him the milk tea earlier.
Then ca a second voice, a third, a fourth, a fifth...
One after the other.
