"It imdiately erases the intrinsic existence of surrounding objects, and their value increases over ti. When there's nothing worth erasing nearby, it will target the holder themselves."

"This is made for human use? The negative effects are ridiculously terrifying."

"I don't want it anymore."

Yang Qizhou felt a deep pang in his heart. This thing was like a ticking ti bomb — he could drop dead at any mont without warning.

He thought of the "ruined statue of the Abyss Old God," gaining so understanding of "ancient objects."

Ancient objects are different from ordinary items. They possess an "activated" characteristic and are far more powerful, but they also co with unimaginable side effects.

For instance, the "ruined statue of the Abyss Old God" has the side effect of polluting the holder's mind, making them unable to suppress their craving for flesh.

Then there's the example of the "Hidden God's Clothes"...

Yang Qizhou felt the urge to toss away this "quasi-legendary" ancient object, but the two effects were far too strong for him to bear letting go.

In the end, he decided to keep it for now and take things step by step. Perhaps he could find a way to counteract the negative effects in the future.

Yang Qizhou continued tapping on his phone screen, and the text refreshed again.

"The last lingering will of the 'Dream Hidden King' has been activated. He resents your dirty betrayal to such an extent that re killing cannot satisfy him. Using his final power, he banishes you eternally to the space between falsehood and reality, where you cannot live nor die."

"You have been banished to the rift between illusion and reality."

"You are wandering in the rift between illusion and reality."

"You are wandering in the rift between illusion and reality."

"You are wandering in the rift between illusion and reality."

The subsequent text repeated the sa phrase, painting a bleak picture of the protagonist's current predicant, with no sign of change.

If it were any other player, their character being eternally banished and unable to return to reality would essentially an the end of their ga account. But Yang Qizhou remained calm — instead, he smiled.

Surprised, huh? I can load my save.

"Dark Crow of Profane Fortune," I'm going to load my character back to the mont of the last choice.

Confirm.

"You, the despicable and shaless explorer who dug a trap for the gods, once again used the power of the 'Dark Crow of Profane Fortune' to return to the mont of your last choice."

"The scenery before you twists, blurs, and lts..."

"You reappear near the Evil Altar, where towering beams of light descend from the skies. The exalted and grand 'Dream Hidden King,' his belly grotesquely swollen, watches you with an extrely hateful gaze filled with terror and fury."

"Your loading has caused this Divine Sovereign to beco pregnant once more."

"Branches of fate erge before you again."

"Explorer, will you choose to stay, witness the fate of the 'Dream Hidden King,' and plunder resources again, or will you choose to escape?"

While exploiting this situation is cruel, it remains a tempting choice. But the cost of staying is far too high — being banished to the rift between falsehood and reality essentially ans the end of the ga account and simply isn't worth it.

Yang Qizhou knew when to quit, so he chose option "two."

"Fully aware of the consequences of staying, you decide to leave the Evil Altar. Before fleeing, you don't forget to raise a middle finger at the 'Dream Hidden King' and slap your rear as you mock the now-pregnant Divine Sovereign."

"The 'Dream Hidden King' is furious, but he has devoted all his energy to extinguishing the power of the 'Dream Realm Mother Goddess Flower Seed' to avoid the childbirth, leaving him unable to deal with anything else. He is forced to watch helplessly as you leave."

"You escape from the Evil Altar."

"As expected, the 'Mother of Beauty and Fertility' descends again. You see a massive eye open between illusion and reality."

"The 'Dream Hidden King' could not escape the calamity from the previous tiline. His stomach is torn open by the 'Dream Realm's Child,' his flesh devoured, and he perishes in the unremarkable Fire Stealing Village."

As expected, things didn't go smoothly... Yang Qizhou thought to himself, deeply grasping the inherent malice of the [Deceit World] toward players. After causing such a commotion, there was no chance of an easy escape — such a thing did not exist.

His intuition was proven correct.

The pale text continued to roll.

"Your sches cannot be hidden from the gods' sight. The 'Mother of Beauty and Fertility' has uncovered your exploitation of Her."

"Deeming you unworthy of bearing Her child because you are garbage, the 'Mother of Beauty and Fertility' does not act personally. Instead, she commands the newly born 'Dream Realm's Child' to deliver divine wrath upon you."

"You fall asleep."

"In your dream, you are torn apart and eaten by horrifying monsters."

"You die."

As expected, death arrived, albeit delayed.

Yang Qizhou saw the description of his ga character's brutal demise and didn't feel surprised; instead, he let out a long sigh of relief and muttered, "Now this feels like the [Deceit World] I know."

Next ca the standard resurrection process. Since the last choice had already been reverted using the 'Desecrating Dark Crow,' he couldn't load his save again. Given that replaying from an earlier point was aningless, Yang Qizhou prepared for a direct resurrection.

"Your soul, as if returning ho, arrives once more at the River of Death's shores."

"The Blessing Fire that fuels fate flickers faintly. So ancient and unknowable being within the River of Death has noticed you. In the distant darkness of the river, there seems to be faintly visible wooden boats carrying lanterns."

"Perhaps next ti you co to the River of Death, sothing different will occur."

"Well then, explorer who dies and dies again."

"Do you choose to accept the blessing of fate, rewrite the current death ending, and return to the old earth as a living being?"

Yang Qizhou hadn't paid much attention initially. The River of Death was just a place he visited often; all he had to do was follow the process to resurrect.

But this ti, the text felt a bit peculiar.

His eyes narrowed as he carefully read the text displayed on his phone.

"Wait a mont. What does this an? This ti, the character's death caught the attention of ancient existences in the River of Death. Could it an that dying again might trigger a hidden storyline?"

Yang Qizhou grew intrigued.

Originally, he thought the River of Death was nothing more than a resurrection chanism. Now it seed the river was actually a large instance, yet to be fully unlocked.

What could have caused the ancient beings in the River of Death to suddenly notice him?

Was it related to the demise of the 'Dream Hidden King'?

Or perhaps the 'Hidden God's Clothes?'

Or was it the sheer number of deaths that reached the threshold for triggering the River storyline?

There wasn't enough information to draw a definite conclusion yet.

Yang Qizhou had no choice but to refocus on the ga and chose to accept the blessing of fate, rewriting his death and proceeding with a normal resurrection.

"You awaken in the quarters arranged by Yixiu, seeing that the scenery is no longer distorted or surreal. The giant face in the sky has vanished, and the Holy Fire symbolizing the 'Fire Stealing Ancient God' blazes brightly once again."

"Everything seems to have cald down."
