"Is it you asking , or am I asking you? You’re quite the guest, turning the tables like this."

"I don’t know how the ga character will respond, but if it were , I definitely wouldn’t take the bait. I wouldn’t even bother pretending to be polite." Muttering under his breath, Yang Qizhou continued the ga.

...

...

"I have seen far more than just fate."

"I am fate."

"You, with all those mischievous thoughts swirling around, obviously wouldn’t say this out loud. Faced with the questioning of the ’Tree Ancient God,’ you nonchalantly waved your hand and said... ’Respected Tree Ancient God, matters concerning fate involve a higher, hidden existence. It’s inconvenient for to say more. If you insist on digging further, then I’m afraid we will have to end our conversation here.’"

Nice.

Yang Qizhou grinned. If he were the ga character, he’d have clapped back the sa way.

The text continued to refresh.

"You saw the awkward stiffness flash across the ’Tree Ancient God’s’ expression for a brief mont before it quickly reverted to its previous compassionate, kind, and benevolent smile."

"You heard Him say... ’Mister Wizard, I was overly hasty earlier. Truly, the reappearance of fate is a matter of great importance, tied to the return of the ’Lord of Blasphemy.’ Very well then, since you find it inconvenient to disclose further, I won’t press on... I’ve answered your question about fate. Do you have any other inquiries?’"

"That apology sounded quite sincere, huh?"

"Of course, you weren’t fooled by that fake smile, keenly catching a fleeting glint of malice deep in the ’Tree Ancient God’s’ eyes. It was predatory, filled with ill intent that made Him seem far less benign than His deanor suggested."

"You thought to yourself, this old scher surely has ulterior motives. He’s not as saintly as He seems on the surface. The real question is how He plans to circumvent the ’Oath’s’ constraints."

"Not one to pass up a golden opportunity, you pressed forward with a third question... ’What determines the hierarchy of divine positions? And what are the ranks beyond the Star Spirit level called?’"

...

...

Finally, the mystery of divine hierarchy was touched upon? Yang Qizhou’s interest piqued imdiately.

And who could bla him for perking up?

The nature of divinity was sothing Yang Qizhou had a general understanding of—the embrace of divinity, the containnt of authority, the claiming of symbols. In essence, gods were avatars of universal laws.

But gods also differed in strength. The currently known weakest gods were the ’Star Spirit Gods,’ who encompassed the bare minimum of authority and symbolism. Even so powerful Ancient Dominators and Extraordinary Lives could challenge the Star Spirit Gods.

However, Yang Qizhou had no clue about the titles or feats of higher-ranking gods.

And now was the mont for revelation.

"Once I understand the distinctions between these levels, I won’t be fumbling in the dark when facing the threats of ’Gods’ again."

The text refreshed at this opportune mont.

...

...

"You saw the ’Tree Ancient God’s’ already-unpleasant smile grow even stiffer, as if unable to comprehend how you, an ’explorer,’ could be so shaless. After uncovering two extrely valuable secrets, you still weren’t satisfied and went on to ask a third question..."

"You thought maliciously to yourself... If it weren’t for the constraints of the ’Oath,’ this ruler of ’Asgard’ would have definitely unleashed divine powers to give you a good beating."

"Though sowhat agitated, the ’Tree Ancient God,’ bound by the ’Oath’s’ terms, still answered the question."

"The hierarchy of divine positions is not determined by strength or authority power. It is instead based on the percentage of universal symbols encompassed by the divine."

"Wait, percentage of universal symbols?"

"Hearing this, you were quite surprised and involuntarily interrupted... ’Are you saying the symbols of the universe aren’t infinite?’"

"’Infinite? Impossible.’"

"You saw the ’Tree Ancient God’ scoff slightly and reply... ’The symbols corresponding to concepts are not infinite. They are constant—no more, no less, and indestructible. They can only transfer from one ’God’ to another. There are many ways for a god to contain symbols, but all of them revolve around using ’authority’ as the dium to claim the corresponding stars in the Star Realm. Oh, right, this involves the distinction between ’authority’ and ’symbols.’ Do you need an additional explanation?’"

"’There’s a distinction between authority and symbols?’"

"You were shocked—since arriving in the ’Old World,’ you had always assud authority and symbols were one and the sa, fundantally interchangeable. But now, from the words of the ’Tree Ancient God,’ it seed they were entirely different."

"Of course, you wanted to clarify this difference, so you nodded and said without hesitation... ’I’d trouble you to elaborate, esteed Tree Ancient God.’"

"The ruler of ’Asgard’ seed intrigued by the topic and readily gave an explanation."

"’The number of symbols is constant, corresponding to countless stars in the Star Realm—they do not increase or decrease. But authority is a different matter. Authority is the key, the doorway, the materialization of symbols on the Real World layer. Theoretically, as long as a god is willing to pay a steep price, they can use the symbols they control to endlessly create authority on the Real World layer.’"

"’This explanation might still seem abstract, so let clarify further...’"

"’Mister Wizard, you possess quite a few high-ranking mystical items and ancient objects, don’t you? Especially that quasi-legendary ancient object imbued with hidden power. With My rank, I can barely glimpse its blurred shadow. You may have thought of it rely as a tool before, but in essence... it is a manifestation of hidden authority materialized in the Real World layer.’"

...

...

Holy crap.

He thought the secrets of ’fate,’ involving the ’Lord of Blasphemy,’ were already shocking enough, but now the mystery of ’authority’ was equally astounding. It even tied into the fundantal power system of the ’Old World.’

Yang Qizhou paused the text refresh; the sheer volu of information revealed was overwhelming and needed to be carefully reviewed.

"First, symbols... In the Old World, the number of each symbol is constant, and a god’s position is determined by the percentage of those symbols they control."

"Second, authority... Authority is the Real World manifestation of symbols. Theoretically, as long as the symbols exist and the god is willing to pay a steep price, they can create infinite authority."

"Moreover, authority is not so abstract concept; it is actually quite tangible. Whether it’s mystical items or ancient objects, their essence lies in being authority corresponding to universal symbols."

This revelation resolved many of Yang Qizhou’s previous doubts.

He had always found it strange.

Why would fully activated mystical or ancient objects give birth to gods? And why would a god’s flesh and blood combine with their surroundings after death, thereby creating mystical and ancient objects?

Now everything made sense.

Once activated, mystical and ancient objects birth gods because their self will, through authority, claims cosmic symbols, making them naturally divine.

And the very nature of gods occupying symbols ans they are living authority. Their flesh and blood, in a way, becos part of that authority. Thus, when gods fall, their remains fuse with the surroundings, preserving the essence of authority.

"Wow, this is mind-bending stuff, but at least it’s all sorted out now."

The hidden truths about authority were of unimaginable value, yet the ga character had managed to freeload them so effortlessly. Yang Qizhou was in high spirits, grinning ear-to-ear, eagerly anticipating how much more he could squeeze out of the ’Tree Ancient God.’

So, let’s continue.

...

...

"So, mystical items and ancient objects are, in essence, authority—universal symbols materialized on the Real World layer. This truth shook you to your core."

"You thought of the ’Hidden God’s Clothes’ and finally understood. You hadn’t rely stolen part of the ’Dream Hidden King’s’ remains from the ’Mother of Beauty and Fertility,’ but you had also, in essence, taken part of that Divine Sovereign’s authority."

"This realization filled you with both fear and relief."

"With the ’Tree Ancient God’ right before you, you dared not display too much emotion. You quickly cald yourself and asked... ’So what is the percentage of symbols required for each position in the hierarchy?’"

"The ’Tree Ancient God,’ who had intended to answer this anyway, did not hesitate and provided an explanation."

"’The weakest, Star Spirit Gods, need to encompass 0.1% of the entirety of a single symbol. This is the minimum symbolic unit, equivalent to superior-grade mystical or ancient objects.’"

"’Above that are Angel Gods, who must encompass 0.5% of a single symbol. This is equivalent to epic-grade mystical or ancient objects.’"

"’Further up are the Divine Sovereigns, also called Ancient Lords, who must encompass 4% of a single symbol. This level aligns with legendary-grade mystical or ancient objects.’"

"You saw the ’Tree Ancient God’ pause briefly before continuing... ’Of course, the symbolic proportion required to ascend divine ranks is absolute and not subject to compromise. However, the correlation between divine ranks and mystical or ancient objects is not as rigid. Other factors, such as the god’s original rank and how their remains interact with the environnt, play a role.’"

"’The Tree Ancient God’ added... ’Take that ancient object of yours representing hidden authority, for example. While it is quasi-legendary in rank and its power level is nearly Divine Sovereign, its corresponding symbol’s proportion is still far from reaching the Ancient Lord rank.’"

"’That’s the entirety of the secret behind divine hierarchy, Mister Wizard. I hope you are satisfied and will soon agree to cooperate with the Ancient Gods.’"
