"I want him fucking dead! Hurry up and break through that barrier! Sothing happened in the Underworld, and I can’t access it anymore!" Karyndra was pissed off to the maximum.
After leaving the demon world to return to the angelic realm, she realized that she had been played. She didn’t think Zion would trick her since everyone knew he ant what he said, but for the first ti, he didn’t.
After raging for a bit, she tried to return to Azmorath’s side, but the gods attacked them at that mont, forcing her to deal with them.
Since the gods themselves were involved this ti, she had no choice but to release the sentinals to cover her back and handle things while she traveled to to demon world, but once she did, sothing stopped her.
Just like how a barrier protected the middle world, one also protected the demon world. That’s how she knew sothing had changed.
When she contacted Azmorath, he didn’t answer, and that got her worried.
"Hurry up! I need to leave now!" She yelled at two angels.
"We’re trying our best, ma’am, but we can’t penetrate the barrier. It’s made from infernal energy."
"Infernal energy? Devils? We kill the devils already, so how can....Erebosa." She rembered.
"Dammit!" She beheaded those two angels, killing them in her fit of rage.
"My Lady!" An angel ssenger yelled, flying toward Karyndra
"What!? You better have good news because I’m not in a good mood right now."
The angel hesitated before speaking. "M-May I leave then?"
"Speak, peasant." She commanded.
"W-We’ve learned what happened to Lord Azmorath," ssenger said, trembling while sweat dripped down their face.
Karyndra’s eyes lit up with excitent. "So he contacted us? That’s great! He must know about the barrier around the demon world as well."
"N-No, that’s not it, my lady."
"Hmm?" She looked down at the angel with an annoyed expression. Golden energy grabbed the angel’s neck tightly and lifted him into the air.
"What do you an that isn’t the case? Explain now!"
"W-We last saw L-Lord Azmorath facing off against Z-Zion, and they were flying t-toward the sea of stars!"
"WHAT?!" Karyndra dropped the angel and looked up at the sky. She knew that Angels, despite their power, could not survive in such an environnt, and she assud the angel was lying. However, she knew Zion was wild and reckless, so she didn’t push that possibility off the table.
"Tell , what happened in the sea of stars?"
"W-We don’t know for certain, but we can confirm that Zion was able to return to the world, and Lord Azmorath did not."
"Impossible! Even if Zion is a demigod, he can’t survive there! Only a god can, and even they are still confined to the world and can’t venture far into the universe unless they rule over multiple planets!"
"Oh, but it is true." A voice bood as a person descended from the sky.
"Luminera!" Karynfra growled. "Always have to make an entrance, huh?"
"Zion says it shows dominance and looks cool. So, yeah." She smirked.
"What are you doing here? Do you think I wont kill you?"
"Pfft! Please. I’m not the helpless goddess you took advantage of 10,000 years ago. My full power has returned already."
"What are you doing here, then? Co to rub it in my face that you managed to overco the near-death experience we put you through?" Karyndra wondered.
"No, I’m here to show you this." Luminera showed Karyndra a recording of Zion’s entire battle against Azmorath from start to finish.
"I-Impossible! He traveled to another world?! Wait! So that’s where his weapons are?! No wonder we couldn’t find them, no matter where we looked! It was in the sea of stars! B-But how did he gain access to that place? He’s a mortal!"
Luminera laughed at Karyndra’s ignorance. "Would you believe if I told you that Zion ca from a world where no mana or any type of mystical energy existed? Because of that, their technology bood, even more than the dwarves. It was their life mission to travel the stars. They already made it to the moon on their world and had devices that even left their solar system. Heck, they had devices that could see other star systems from light years away!"
She learned all of this from Zion, of course. Although she’s a goddess, she’s not all-knowing. She only knows what goes on in her world, not any other world.
Karyndra was shocked to learn of this information. "H-He’s a reincarnator?! You stole his soul from the reincarnation cycle! That’s illegal!"
"I know, but hey, I had to win sohow. I’ve tried 665 tis before, Zion, and all of them ended up as failures. So this ti, I took a lost soul from another world, a soul that wasn’t bound to this world. That turned out to be my biggest success yet."
"Don’t think that you’ve already won. I still have the sentinels! And now that the demon world is under your control, I’m sure you’ve already noticed that the devils have been killed!"
"Yeah," Luminera brushed her off. "So what? They arent that big of a deal. Zion can deal with them easily."
Kayndra was speechless. "H-He’s a demigod! How would he be able to handle a sentinel who can kill gods?!"
"You see, that’s the beauty of that foreign mind of his, it doesn’t follow the sa rules as our mind does." She smirked
’Dammit! He probably ca up with a thod to defeat the sentinels! I have to act fast!’
"Anyway, that’s all I ca here to tell you. Have fun in your war. Ta-ta." Luminera vanished in a beam of light.
"Fuck!" Karyndra turned her attention to the ssenger angel.
"You!"
"Y-Yes, my lady?"
"Inform everyone that plans have changed. I want every capable angel on the front lines asap. The sentinels are needed for sothing else."
"Y-Yes, my lady! Right away!" The angel took off.
"The sentinels should be strong enough to break the barrier, so I’ll use them to ravage the middle world. Zion wants to play, so I’ll play. You’re not the only one with a super weapon."
