"You’re an idiot, you think they’d give that kind of thing to you? They all go back to the inland to find acquaintances."

A grim-faced adventurer spit with disdain.

"Sounds easy, but if it’s really tough stuff, you might not live long enough to take it back inland."

The intelligence officer said coldly.

"Who the fuck do you think you’re looking down on?"

This adventurer and his brothers picked up their knives, ready to cut soone.

Celeste clicked her tongue.

She needed to show off a combination of literary and military skills, to attract Liszt’s attention—a professional team capable of handling both paperwork and combat, who wouldn’t love that?

Beneath her tight clothing, Celeste’s iron boots stomped hard, crushing a rock the size of a ball into several pieces; then, with a flick of her toes, the shards hovered mid-air; her seemingly delicate arms grabbed them all in one swift motion.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

One after another, the stones were hurled, striking the adventurer and his n on their foreheads; they staggered, bloodied, and fell to the ground.

The move was swift as lightning, too quick for anyone to react; the dense crowd at Bay Shore was captivated. These folks were not to be taken lightly; it seed high ti to be on guard.

Mika gulped. This was more than just an investigator—it was like if she could star in a film with a figure and looks like hers, he wouldn’t mind dying and going to Hell.

Liszt was pleased; finding an educated person in this forsaken place was harder than performing precision surgery with just pliers and a car jack.

With Fen absent, they were short of a genius, so he imdiately sent soone to invite them over to the wooden hut for a detailed discussion.

Liszt had planned to visit Doringger after landing.

However, Doringger seed to be drawing a line, carving out a separate area of the coast for himself, keeping well away from any conflict.

In fact, Liszt was very concerned; Doringger had too much talent under him, now possibly all specialists delving deep into the island, and Liszt was falling far behind.

If sothing good fell into Doringger’s hands, wouldn’t that be a travesty? He needed to advance at lightning speed. If Doringger ran into trouble, Liszt would need to be ready to kick him while he was down.

Inside the cabin, Liszt was treating his guests, though he had nothing much to offer—the conditions were limited, but he laid out smoked at, fine wine, biscuits with a long shelf life, and hard cheese.

He enquired about the origins of Celeste and her team.

"We’re a Gold-level Adventure Group from the Western Continent; I’m the leader, Celeste. The only reason we haven’t moved beyond Gold Rank is that we haven’t taken the assessnt, just been too busy with business. And I’ve talked with your First Officer... No, I guess he’s the general manager now. He ntioned a chance for promotion; I wonder if that’s true."

Celeste removed her gloves, fanning herself, seemingly a bit hot. The humidity here was much stronger than at Heaven Port, and the sweat soaking through her bodysuit made her allure even more pronounced.

Mika’s eyes couldn’t move away from her bosom, Ada Wang, often referred to as little Celeste.

"Of course, it’s true. I’ve always respected talents and subordinates. If you’re willing to stay with Black Sail, we offer free healthcare, als, housing, and a stable wage. Before long, I’ll dominate the East Sea, and then this entire sea will be... ours."

Liszt emphasized the word "ours."

"You sound confident, as expected from the mastermind behind the big prison riot, the Seventh Andnt, Cangshan Tobacco Company, and indeed, with so many friends backing you, you’ve earned this position."

Celeste feigned a look of raw awe, as if she sowhat idolized the man before her.

"My hair!"

Liszt was about to call Brother Hai to chop soone; fuck, troubles from ten years ago had co knocking on his door—he was definitely screwed! That special investigation team must be another goddamn Marcus Joshua sche; they couldn’t win without fighting as a team.

Sensing sothing off in the room’s atmosphere, a man in a helt walked up slowly.

"Your First Officer, general manager, it was Fen who told . Is there sothing strange about that?"

Celeste didn’t quite understand. Was Black Sail experiencing so internal strife?

"Fen told you?"

Liszt was clueless.

Celeste once again detailed the scene at that ti, the jokes about the Northern Realm that Hened had told, and described Fen’s characteristics ticulously: the monocle, stiff and boring, never touched tobacco or alcohol or just sampled them modestly, and, also, impotent.

At first, Liszt was unconvinced, but when he heard ’impotent,’ it started to seem a bit more believable. Old Peidan from Upper Three Flags had an affair with the Princess, so in the context of Star Universe, they did fall short.

"So that’s how it is."

Liszt let down his guard, indirectly understanding what Fen was up to, no wonder he had been feeling that sothing was off these past few days, sothing sneaky going on behind his back.

At this point, with this prestigious hat thrown at him, whether he liked it or not, Liszt had to take on the role of the leading big brother. If he dared to throw his hands up, the subordinates might just gut him.

"I just didn’t want to stir up trouble, and I hadn’t realized those guys would take advantage of this to make a splash. They’ve really caused misery."

Liszt pretended to be deep in thought.

Rein was shocked and impressed; he bought the act!

"Speaking of which, we’re also busy. If there’s nothing else, we’ll be taking our leave. My team needs to check out the woods. Once we’ve made progress, we’ll definitely report back to the boss."

Celeste was ready to stand up and leave.

Right now, Liszt actually held his team in high regard. If they could achieve so success and infiltrate deeper, it wouldn’t be long.

The people she brought were also experts in various fields, not just archaeology but also geology, biology, and even wilderness experts. The most terrifying thing was, they also had extrely high combat capabilities.

Exploring Iron Soul Island was one of their tasks, and these were top-tier professionals on a national level, all trained in modernized, multifaceted combat. It wasn’t that civilians had none, but they were just re glimpses.

"What’s the rush?"

Liszt had actually been looking for a professional team, but among these Gold Seekers, there were hardly any who showed promise, all looking foolish.

"You say you understand history, which school did you graduate from?"

Liszt wanted to probe further.

The Historian made up a na on the spot.

"It’s not just about understanding history. My team mbers have traveled worldwide and even have considerable research in geology and biology. Think of it as what, entrepreneurship for college students, I guess. No hereditary titles in the family, it’s hard to get even a minor official position after studying, but our skills have improved over the years. Looking back at the old days from where we stand today, it was interesting."

Celeste showcased the strengths of her team.

What Liszt lacked the most was professional talent, and now there was a chance to fill that gap.

"Very well, I don’t think you need to wander around in there blindly. I was also planning to take around a hundred people deeper inside. This island is huge and will take a lot of ti to explore. How about this, I can hire you all for a short term, ten Golden Dragons for a week, how does that sound?"

Liszt rubbed his hands together in anticipation. He was extrely curious about what lay inside. Based on the crafts found by people before, there was obviously a civilization on this island, but no living people had been seen so far, which was really weird.

Upon hearing this offer, how could Celeste not be pleased?

It was like being handed a pillow just as one felt sleepy. Liszt, there’s a way to Heaven you didn’t take, but you burst into Hell without a gate. During this long exploration process, accidents were bound to happen. One by one, Liszt’s n could be taken care of, until he was fully under control.

Of course, there was a myriad of moves to be made along the way, and they had to pry out news of the Dragon Lady from Liszt’s mouth.

Celeste feigned contemplation for a mont.

"It sounds... rather fair?"

Celeste extended her hand, signaling the deal was struck.

But then, a sudden disturbance occurred.

"Shit, move it!"

"Get lost! I’ll blow you away!"

"Dammit, I’m the boss here, let do it!"

The hands of Mika, Shadi, and Liszt tangled in the air, striking at each other.

Celeste awkwardly withdrew her hand.

Well... how bizarre.
