*swish...*
With a swift movent like a thunder gale. zephyr rushed towards the scorpion.
In a second she was in front of it.
The towering creature lood over her with it’s intimidating presence. However as though showing her contempt, zephyr swing her improvised sword down with a fluid motion, without any hesitation. like a bolt of lightning striking the earth,
Her aim, trying to severe the front right leg of the 8 legged scorpion.
*Slash...* *Clang...*
Yes, she tried. Since the scorpion, though initially startled because of zephyr’s sudden and swift mont.
Still composed himself in matter of fraction of a second then showing a supriseing agility and maneuverability unexpected from his giant size — Scor’ell moved to the side and used one of its pincers to block zephyr’s strike.
Besides seeing her attack blocked zephyr quickly disengaged and distenced herself from the scorpion with a backward jump just as quickly as the scorpions stinger hit the earth.
*Jump...* *Boom...*
She landed on the ground about 3 ters away from him. There first exchange ended as quickly as it began.
*Sezzell...* *Sezzell...* *Sezzell...*
The earth below lted, sezzelled, even cracked. Throwing dust and debris around. Forming a ter wide crator where the scorpion’s stinger had landed hinting at the strong poisen the creature carried in his stinger.
Zephyr spoke her voice smooth and lodious, "This insect knows how to move! I didn’t expect that! hehe!! ~ " her words laced with a hint of mockery.
Astonished! at how his attack missed and how the weak girl caught him off-guard by her sudden movent that he didn’t expect from such a small creature.
Scor’ell spoke, as he gazed at her. His voice laced with an undertone of threat and nace..
"Girl, don’t get so full of yourself.. "
However before he could continue, Zephyr spoke up, her voice ringing clear. "My na is zephyr, You disgusting worm!!."
At her words, Scor’ell scoffed, "Heh... as if I care about the nas of insignificant, lowly creature’s who are going to beco my al! Anyway... Hahaha!!." said Scor’ell with an evil smirk followed by his creepy laughter.
Suddenly as though he rembered sothing, his compounded crimson eyes burned in fury when he realised that he was intrupted earlier whilst speaking.
"Woww... Just how much delusional are you! Imbecile!!." Replied zephyr, her voice tinged with amusent.
"Enough.." shouted scor’ell. He used his lting Haze which spread like the coming of a swift tempestuous wind, enshroudeing the air in a dark-voilet poisonous vail.
*swish...*
Most of it was concentrated around the scorpion’s body itself, well more specifically at his legs.
However instead of retreating which should’ve been the case normally if it was soone else. Zephyr charged forward into the poisonous haze with a reckless abandon.
It was a move the little insect would’ve never anticipated.
Though scor’ell couldn’t understand why would zephyr charge forward instead of retreating, He still snickered in delight.
His 12 crimson eyes mirroring his expression.
"Fool! Hahaha... Directly charging into my lting Haze, you would beco a puddle of guu in seconds!!." His voice, mixed with elation and delight.
Yet still — soon turned into a scream of pain and torture.
His own lting Haze that he was so proud of. The reason that most of the magical beast and monsters he ever fought in his long life were never able to even wound him. Since they couldn’t even near him.
Furthermore if he ever ca across a more stronger beast on whom his lting Haze was ineffective, scor’ell used the dark-voilet vail that also impeded there visions as a camouflage because of his similar colored exoskeleton which helped him avoid death on nurous occasions and even flee.
However this ti luck wasn’t one his side. And the ability which had never betrayed him. Finally beca his biggest undoing. As the obscureing haze that impaded others vision like a thick veil of ignorance, leaving them blinded. Also limited his visibility.
anwhile, zephyr moved in the lting haze unbothered as though the haze was a curtain, and she was the star gliding across it. Indicating her effortless and self-assured movent.
The obscureing haze proved powerless against zephyr’s keen serpentine eyes, which discerned every detail without falter. Zephyr both impervious and unaffected by the lting poison in the haze stood below the giant scorpion who was oblivious to her presence.
After evolving into a Quantiarch. Zephyr also inherited the 2 traits of [ Resonance ] and [ Dissonance ] from the Proginetor. Though in her case, the traits were strictly limited to her attributes or affinity.
Furthermore, Both of zephyr’s base prowess and the scorpion’s base prowess were similar. Resulting in scor’ell’s lting Haze becoming nothing but a simple fog for her when she used the [ Dissonance ] trait on it.
The poor creature didn’t even realize as zephyr swung her sword in a clean and precise arc directly severing the scorpion’s four right leg’s.
*Aahhhhh!...* scread scor’ell — Disoriented, unable to compherend the source of his pain.
While at the sa ti his body swayed, he wobbled and fell onto the ground on his right side.
*thud*
That’s when he realised that all four of his right legs were missing, severed in half.
"Aaaaaaa..." he scread.
"How!!! How!!!" the scorpion tried to ask but the pain did not let him. It worsened.
After severing the arrogant insects four leg’s. Zephyr moved before his body fell to the ground. As she heard the worm screaming, she giggled "hehehe!!" Taking delight in the delusional insects suffering.
Additionally without any hesitation and with a decisive downward motion, she severed scor’ell’s right pincer too with a baleful expression, ’it was this thing that the insect had used to block my earlier strike!!.’
*Slash... * scor’ell saw in disbelief.
As his right pincer also got cleaved half clearly, in his own lting Haze. It soared into the sky, landing on the ground with a — *thud*
His crimson blood sprayed all over the earth painting it in a pool of red.
The ability used broke. The haze disappeared.
The scorpion gazed at zephyr standing on his right side with her sword withdrawn. However as the realization of the occurred event struck him like a thunderbolt in a stormy cloud.
The pain ca, unbearable, unimaginable.
Scor’ell scread, the sound, a gaping wound in the silence, "Aaaaaaaaa..." his voice echoed both across the empty dark caverns and through the space, each reverberation like an agonizing wound.
"Hhhaaaaaa..." he scread again.
Looking miserable, in all his hunts scor’ell had never been wounded so horribly, that he lost almost half of his body in just a minutes ti fra.
However what he couldn’t compherend even more was the sight of Zephyr standing there unhard by his lting Haze. Observing him with curiosity as he scread, her lips graced with a light smile and a mischievous glint in her serpentine eyes.
’she not affected by my lting Haze! How! Why!’...
’How is she standing in front of unfazed! Without so much as a scratch!’ —
