Drake deactivated Kirin Style and Spirit Fusion, staggering to his knees, gasping for breath.

The abdominal wound continued to throb, which was why he hadn’t deactivated Dragon Force; he needed the Dragon Slayer magic to dispel the curse.

After a brief respite, the pain lessened, and Drake approached Edolas Drake.

Edolas Drake lay with his eyes closed, but his chest rose and fell; he was still alive. His twin swords had absorbed much of the force from Drake’s punch, saving his life.

Drake hadn’t intended to kill him; after Jellal ushered in a new era, perhaps Edolas Drake would change.

"Ti to check on the other areas. The most troubleso opponent is dealt with; the others should be manageable."

Drake said this, then suddenly looked up at the sky.

Extalia, the Exceed kingdom, was a floating island, perpetually hovering above Edolas’s capital, mirroring their self-proclaid divine status.

Yet, Drake sensed a powerful surge of magic emanating from Extalia. A massive amount of magical energy was rising, including Natsu and Wendy’s.

He didn’t know what was happening, but he could only trust Natsu and the others.

The palace was descending into chaos. Sugarboy had been defeated by Edolas Drake; Knightwalker and Erza were locked in a fierce battle; the palace guards, acting like headless chickens, were no match for the combined might of Fairy Tail.

Mirajane, Gajeel, and other powerful mbers were closing in on the palace’s core.

"So, he used it," Drake muttered, sensing the magical energy converging towards the palace.

Without a doubt, Faust had deployed his ultimate trump card—the kingdom’s forbidden magical tool, the Dragon Knight.

Even in the original storyline, when the Eternal Magic plan was no longer feasible and the kingdom still held the advantage, Faust had resorted to unleashing the Dragon Knight; the current near-critical situation would undoubtedly necessitate its deploynt.

Having been raised by Igneel, Drake was intimately familiar with the distinctive roar of a dragon. The sound emanating from the distance bore a striking resemblance to a dragon’s roar, albeit infused with the tallic clang of steel.

BOOM!!!

The weakened Drake stumbled slightly, his gaze fixed upon the colossal steel construct before him.

The steel dragon lowered its head, its attention drawn to Edolas Drake, who lay prostrate on the ground.

"Such a useless specin! However, it matters little; I had intended to eliminate both of you in the end, in any case!"

A voice, chillingly devoid of emotion yet tinged with a hint of madness, emanated from within the steel behemoth.

The steel dragon opened its maw, targeting Edolas Drake, as a concentrated beam of magical energy began to coalesce within its mouth.

The magical beam obliterated the earth beneath it, leaving a gaping chasm in its wake. The steel dragon then swiveled its head towards another direction.

"Have you lost your mind?" Faust, ensconced within the Dragon Knight’s cockpit, addressed Drake through the magical screen, his voice laced with disbelief.

"You were locked in mortal combat with him just monts ago; I fail to comprehend your motives for rescuing him!" Faust’s bewildernt was palpable.

Drake set Edolas Drake down gently. "Let us be perfectly clear; this individual was vanquished by my own hand; you have absolutely no right to deliver the coup de gr??ce."

Faust erupted into laughter. "Then I shall vanquish both of you!"

The steel dragon sprang into action, launching itself towards Drake with ferocious intent.

"[Super-Cruel Flash!]"

A jet-black beam of magical energy slamd into the Dragon Knight, sending the colossal construct hurtling through the air.

However, as the Dragon Knight erged from the dissipating cloud of dust and debris, it showed no signs of damage beyond a faint wisp of smoke emanating from the point of impact.

Drake addressed Mirajane, who hovered in the air above the battlefield. "There is no need to squander your magical energy; this construct is impervious to all forms of magical assault; only Dragon Slayer magic proves effective against it."

Mirajane, her gentle deanor replaced by the unbridled ferocity that was her true nature following her absorption of the Demon Soul, simply retorted with a dismissive scoff. "How utterly botherso!"

"Then it seems that this is precisely the mont for my grand entrance!" Gajeel declared, striding purposefully towards Drake and taking up a position at his side.

The overarching plan had never truly entailed the complete annihilation of the royal palace; therefore, upon sensing the unfolding events surrounding Drake, the remaining mbers of Fairy Tail had converged upon this particular location.

Drake stated decisively, "Mystogan’s operation should be underway by now! Gajeel and I will handle this; Mirajane, you and the others should proceed to provide support to Mystogan."

Mirajane cast a concerned glance at Drake. "Are you certain that our assistance is not required?"

Mirajane’s apprehension stemd not from a lack of faith in Drake’s capabilities; were Drake to be at the peak of his physical condition, dismantling this steel behemoth would pose no significant challenge.

However, Mirajane was acutely aware of Drake’s current state of debilitation.

The intense battle with Edolas Drake had resulted in significant injuries and the near-total depletion of Drake’s magical reserves.

However, it was crucial to rember that Drake had acquired a new skill in the Danmachi world—[Fairy’s Blessing]—which automatically granted him the and enhancents whenever he utilized magic.

Therefore, despite his apparent physical weakness, Drake had already partially restored his combat capabilities.

Gajeel, too, chid in with unwavering confidence. "Leave it to , without a doubt!"

Mirajane, after exchanging a brief but aningful glance with both Drake and Gajeel, nodded her assent and soared off in another direction.

Drake turned his attention to Gajeel. "Do not impede my efforts!"

Gajeel, his voice laced with a hint of defiance, retorted, "Judging by your current disheveled state, it is far from certain who will be hindering whom!"

With these words exchanged, the two formidable mages launched themselves towards the Dragon Knight.

Faust, his voice dripping with disdain, scoffed, "re insects! I shall crush you both beneath my heel!"

The Dragon Knight, true to Faust’s words, raised its massive foot, aiming a crushing blow at the two approaching mages.

"[Iron Dragon Club!]"

Gajeel’s arm transford into a mighty iron club, striking directly at the Dragon Knight’s claw.

Perhaps driven by a reluctance to display any sign of weakness before Drake, Gajeel gritted his teeth and resolutely withstood the impact of the Dragon Knight’s descending foot.

Seizing this opportune mont, Drake unleashed a devastating Fire Dragon’s Iron Fist, striking the Dragon Knight squarely in the chest.

Nurous cracks spiderwebbed across the surface of the Dragon Knight’s armor at the point of impact, causing the colossal construct to stagger backward.

"[Iron Dragon Sword!]"

Gajeel launched himself into the air, his arm transforming into a massive, serrated greatsword, which he plunged directly into the fissure created by Drake’s attack.

As Gajeel manipulated his transford arm, he succeeded in tearing open the Dragon Knight’s armor, exposing its vulnerable interior.

The Dragon Knight emitted a deafening roar, its rear armor plates splitting open to reveal a formidable array of missiles.

The missiles were launched, relentlessly pursuing the two mages.

"[Fire Dragon’s Brilliant Fla!]"

Drake unleashed a concentrated blast of searing fla, detonating all the incoming missiles in a spectacular explosion.

The sound of the air exploding reverberated through the air, as the colossal steel tail of the Dragon Knight lashed out with devastating force.

Gajeel, undeterred, positioned himself directly in the path of the oncoming attack, utilizing his transford steel arm to absorb the full brunt of the impact. Two long, deep scratches marred the surface of his arm, yet he remained steadfastly in place, ensuring Drake’s safety.

Drake, unwilling to waste the opportunity presented by Gajeel’s valiant defense, launched himself forward with renewed vigor.

"[Fire Dragon’s Hook Claw!]"

Drake unleashed a powerful kick, shattering one of the Dragon Knight’s claws into countless fragnts.

"Damn it! Damn you to hell!" Faust’s enraged voice echoed from within the Dragon Knight.

"How utterly unsightly!" Gajeel remarked, nonchalantly chewing on a piece of steel he had torn from the Dragon Knight’s tail, while simultaneously unleashing a relentless barrage of attacks.

"[Iron Dragon’s Roar!]"

A maelstrom of tallic projectiles erupted, sending the colossal Dragon Knight reeling backward.

Drake, seizing the opportune mont, unleashed a devastating technique, channeling the entirety of his remaining magical energy into this final, decisive blow.

"[Fire Dragon’s Sword Horn!]"

Faust, within the Dragon Knight’s cockpit, witnessed a raging inferno in the form of a fire dragon hurtling towards him.

He frantically wrestled with the controls, desperately attempting to evade the impending attack.

However, the Dragon Knight, having sustained a series of devastating blows, was now plagued by nurous malfunctions, rendering its evasive maneuvers clumsy and ineffective.

Drake smashed through the Dragon Knight’s remaining armor, seizing Faust by the throat and driving the colossal construct into the earth with unrestrained force.

"Your insatiable greed concludes here!" Drake declared, his voice ringing with finality as he stood over the defeated king.
