Having resolved to unveil his ultimate techniques, Drake held nothing back.

"Happy!"

The fire dragon roared from the air and rged with Drake.

"[Spirit Fusion: Blazing Dragon King!]"

Sparks erupted from his elongated scarf; the air around Drake, now crowned with horns, warped from the intense heat.

Edolas Drake declared, "Truly dazzling! But power, true power, is always shadowed by darkness and stained with blood. You, who have never known hell, cannot comprehend this!"

His crimson eyes seed to bleed. A blood-red mist spread, making Edolas Drake appear demonic and terrifying.

Fla and blood mist divided the battlefield; their auras manifested as a dragon and a demonic figure, facing each other.

Then, dragon and demon clashed.

"[Fire Dragon’s Iron Fist!]"

"[Secret Sword: Blood Rain!]"

Drake’s fist shattered the crimson sword light. Though his gauntlets sustained several new cuts, he broke through Edolas Drake’s defenses, sending him flying.

"[Fire Dragon’s Crushing Fang!]"

Drake pursued relentlessly, launching a series of attacks designed to obliterate his opponent.

Faced with Drake’s brutal onslaught, Edolas Drake simply swung the Hellish Sword.

"[Secret Sword: Crescent Moon!]"

A crimson crescent moon descended, intercepting all of Drake’s attacks.

"Shatter!"

Drake roared, pulverizing the crimson crescent moon. But Edolas Drake wielded two swords; the Opening Sword descended, sending Drake crashing to the ground.

Drake, rising from the shattered earth, his deep chest wound rapidly healing, unleashed a Fire Dragon’s Roar at Edolas Drake.

The fiery pillar shot skyward, illuminating the entire royal capital. Yet, Drake noticed a crimson tide spreading within the flas.

"[Secret Sword: Asura!]"

To Drake’s astonishnt, Edolas Drake, a figure resembling a vengeful deity, burst forth from the flas, his longsword piercing Drake’s abdon.

Edolas Drake’s face and body were heavily burned, enhancing his demonic appearance.

Drake glanced at the glowing red markings on the Hellish Sword, then kicked Edolas Drake away with a powerful blow.

Drake, about to pursue, suddenly knelt, clutching his abdon in agony.

Despite the rapid healing facilitated by Dragon Force and Spirit Fusion—a process that had already restored even his damaged internal organs—an excruciating pain persisted, refusing to abate.

The intensity of the pain was such that even Drake’s formidable willpower buckled, forcing him to kneel.

In this world, the power of magical tools was adjustable.

As witnessed in the original storyline, when Natsu acquired a magical tool, he was able to unleash a single, overwhelmingly powerful blast of fla, despite the tool’s capacity for hundreds of individual discharges.

While Edolas Drake did not resort to such an extre asure, he had nevertheless channeled nearly half of the Hellish Sword’s magical energy into his previous attack.

The resulting curse magic clung to Drake like a parasitic entity, proving stubbornly resistant to imdiate expulsion.

The red markings on Edolas Drake’s Hellish Sword pulsed rhythmically, mirroring the rhythmic healing of his own burns.

Edolas Drake spoke, his voice laced with a hint of self-awareness, "In the past, I always believed that this blade should have been nad the Pain Sword.

For it not only inflicts excruciating pain upon one’s enemies, but the wielder, too, can exchange their own suffering for the power of healing. The more grievous the wound inflicted, the more intense the pain endured.

However, I have since co to understand that the only world worthy of confronting, even while enduring such profound tornt, is a world that truly resembles hell!"

Drake, his brow furrowed in pain, managed to rise to his feet. "Oh? Is that your conviction?"

Edolas Drake’s facial muscles contorted with pain, yet a chilling smile still played upon his lips. "You naive fool, you cannot possibly comprehend! For what purpose do you engage in combat? Is it for justice and light?

Such ideals are utterly nonexistent in this hellish world! This world is deserving of nothing but annihilation!"

Drake, gazing at his own reflection in his counterpart’s face, responded with a smile of his own. "Justice? Light? I do not fight for such epheral concepts."

Edolas Drake’s expression shifted, revealing a flicker of genuine interest. "Then, pray tell, what compels you to stand before ?"

Drake answered without hesitation, "For happiness!"

"Happiness?"

Edolas Drake was genuinely taken aback by Drake’s unexpected response.

Drake recalled the words of a certain Magic Emperor. While Ainz Ooal Gown might be considered utterly devoid of humanity, the words he had spoken to those he held in high regard had profoundly resonated with Drake.

Drake continued, "Regardless of an individual’s background or disposition, the ultimate pursuit of every sentient being is simply happiness. The reason I engage in combat is solely for the sake of my own happiness and the happiness of those I hold dear.

And for the sake of my comrades’ happiness, I would not hesitate to lay waste to an entire nation, if necessary."

Edolas Drake paused montarily, then responded with a tone dripping with malice, "Indeed, individuals will undertake extraordinary asures in pursuit of happiness... even to the extent of betraying their closest allies!"

Drake stood tall and proud. "You truly fail to comprehend the essence of camaraderie! True comradeship entails the understanding that the happiness of each individual is inextricably linked to the happiness of all. If a comrade is suffering, how can one possibly attain their own happiness?"

Edolas Drake’s countenance darkened. "How utterly tedious! Humanity is inherently selfish; happiness is a chira in this hellish world!"

Drake adopted a combat stance. "I find your outlook utterly intolerable! To think that my counterpart from another world is such a pathetic weakling; it fills

with profound sha!"

"You are the weak one, lost in the fragile bonds of sentintality!" Edolas Drake countered.

Without further exchange, the two once again lunged towards each other.

Edolas Drake, possessed by a demonic fury, his already tattered garnts disintegrating completely, revealed a physique of exceptional strength and musculature.

His scarred skin stretched taut over his bulging muscles, creating a truly terrifying visage within the swirling crimson mist. Amongst the nurous scars that marred his body, one stood out in particular—a deep gash across his chest, a grim testant to the betrayal inflicted upon him by a forr comrade.

Surrounded by an aura of malevolent power, Edolas Drake unleashed a devastating sword strike.

"[Secret Sword: Ultimate Technique—Purgatory!]"

This technique, honed in the depths of his prison cell following the devastating betrayal he had suffered, was a culmination of all the hatred and resentnt that had festered within his heart.

Drake, too, felt the surge of his opponent’s power, his own fighting spirit coalescing into a formidable technique as he advanced.

"[Four Symbols Fist: Ultimate Technique—Kirin Style!]"

Drake launched a devastating blow, his Dragon Slayer-enhanced fist eting the twin swords that had been unleashed in an X-shaped formation.

The Dragon Slayer armguard, pushed to its absolute limit, shattered into fragnts; yet, Drake did not retract his fist.

"[Dragon Slayer Secret Art: Modified—Crimson Lotus Blast Fist!]"

A torrent of raging flas erupted, engulfing the twin swords that had impacted Drake’s fist, causing them to glow a searing red before ultimately lting and snapping into two pieces.

Drake’s fist continued its relentless advance, making direct contact with Edolas Drake’s chest.

"One so devoid of inner strength possesses a weapon equally lacking in power!" Drake declared.
