"Friend?" Grayson raised an eyebrow. "When you have ti, take this friend of yours to have a al with Faye and the others, get to know each other."
Kay Forrest smirked; he knew what the old man ant.
"Alright, I got it. I’ll arrange it for tomorrow night."
Since it was the old man’s wish, he would do as he desired.
After hanging up the phone, Kay started working, recalling the scene he just saw in the underground parking lot.
He raised an eyebrow and dialed Jane Quinlan’s number. "Invite your cousin for dinner tonight."
"Huh?"
"Just after calling my dad, I suddenly rembered what I promised your mom last night.
If we agreed to help her save face, we can’t go back on our word."
Jane Quinlan glanced sideways, seeing no one was paying attention to her, she got up and walked to the office door, whispering, "Are you okay? There’s no need for you and my brother to et."
"I say there’s a need, so there’s a need. Stop arguing, I’m not asking you to pay."
"That’s not what I an, what I an is..."
"Shut up, your opinion doesn’t matter, objections are invalid. Hanging up, I’m busy."
Kay Forrest finished speaking and hung up the phone on his own.
Jane Quinlan stared at her phone and muttered, "Gosh, what an arrogant jerk."
She humd and was about to return to the office, but Daisy Zenith’s head sneakily popped out.
"Who was that?"
Jane Quinlan blinked, "Can you stop being so nosy?"
"No way, you must tell honestly, is it your... mysterious boyfriend?"
Jane Quinlan rolled her eyes, "Co on, where would I find a boyfriend?
If you have soone suitable around you, introduce them to quickly.
Right now, I’m not in a hurry over anything else, just eager to get married."
She finished speaking and pretended to walk past Daisy and returned to her seat calmly.
Daisy Zenith laughed mischievously and gave her shoulder a nudge. "In any case, you definitely have sothing going on."
Jane Quinlan felt like she was about to go crazy, feeling guilty as if she really was hiding sothing.
At noon, Kay Forrest was busy and didn’t go out for lunch.
Jane Quinlan and Daisy Zenith went out for lunch together and brought him back a portion.
When they were going upstairs, they ran into Xavier.
As soon as Xavier saw Jane Quinlan, he walked straight over.
Jane Quinlan stopped, seeing him stop in front of her, she was sure he was looking for her.
Daisy Zenith raised her chin, "Xavier, what do you want now?"
"This is none of your business. Jane, let’s talk."
Jane Quinlan frowned; back when they were dating, every ti she took Daisy out as a cover to eat together, his attitude towards Daisy was excellent.
At that ti, she always thought how wonderful it would be if the three of them could always be so good together.
But now, he was so hostile to her and even treated Daisy poorly.
It turned out people really could change, and so quickly at that.
"Why should Jane talk to you? Who do you think you are?"
Daisy Zenith shouted at Xavier.
Jane Quinlan pulled Daisy, "Daisy, aren’t you curious what tricks this kind of person will play?
I’m actually quite curious. Go upstairs first."
"What? You don’t need to talk with such a person."
Jane Quinlan patted her shoulder, "Alright, it’s fine, go upstairs.
Oh, right, take this to Director Forrest for ."
Daisy saw that Jane had made up her mind and stopped talking, taking the lunch she brought for Kay Forrest upstairs.
Xavier walked towards the door, and Jane Quinlan followed.
The two of them ca to the company’s back door, where few people passed by.
Jane Quinlan asked, "Go ahead, what do you want this ti."
"Jane, quit your job."
Xavier took out a bank card from his pocket and handed it to her. "Here’s a hundred thousand. It’s enough for you to get by while looking for a job.
I know what I’m doing now is annoying, but I have no other way to get back together with Eden Howard."
Jane Quinlan looked down at the card in his hand and laughed coldly, "One hundred thousand, huh. I didn’t expect you to be quite the tycoon, but Xavier, you’ve underestimated.
I, Jane Quinlan, am worth far more than ten thousand, much more than you think.
Your money doesn’t interest ."
She finished speaking and stepped past him, ready to leave.
But Xavier grabbed Jane Quinlan’s wrist, "Jane, don’t force .
For the sake of all my years with you and your brother, let go. Resign."
"Staying in the company is my own business, don’t talk about sentint."
Jane Quinlan turned to look at him, full of disdain in her eyes, "My feelings are not asured by money."
"I’m doing this because I have no choice.
