"You’re going to scare the hell out of !" Mi Chenxuan shouted indignantly.
"Lately my ears have been a bit hard of hearing, your fourth brother was worried I wouldn’t catch that." Jing Ya said with a chuckle, "The sun is so strong outside, aren’t you coming in?"
"I need more calcium, let soak up a bit longer." Mi Chenxuan mumbled as he sprawled back down again, "Fourth Brother, when are my Fourth Sister-in-law and Fifth Brother coming back?"
Tong Airui frowned and gave a grunt, "Didn’t ask!"
Mi Chenxuan saw his displeasure and laughed heartily, "I just love watching you get mad!"
Tong Airui shot him a sideways glance and stomped upstairs.
Jing Ya gestured to Mi Chenxuan with a smile, "You, ah!"
Mi Chenxuan chuckled, "He keeps scolding ! Grandma, when do you think my Fourth Sister-in-law and Fifth Brother will return? I finally got so vacation, and they’re still off racing—that’s so boring!"
"They said it was just for three days when they left. They should be back today, I reckon." As Jing Ya’s reply finished, Tong Airui ca downstairs holding a jacket, "Rui’er, are you heading out?"
"Grandma, I’m going to the airport to pick up Lo-wa."
Jing Ya imdiately brightened, "Lo-wa is coming back!"
"Yeah." Tong Airui nodded.
"I’m going too!" Mi Chenxuan jumped up.
"Stay ho!" Tong Airui glared at him.
"I’m going!" Mi Chenxuan hiked up his pants and tailed behind Tong Airui, "Fourth Brother, did my Fourth Sister-in-law win another first place this ti?"
"If you want to co along, then shut up!" Tong Airui barked irritably, his mood clearly foul.
This ti, his wife went out to compete, sothing he didn’t want her to do. He was busy and couldn’t go along with her, and he felt uneasy about it.
She said she wouldn’t go, but when he ca ho in the evening, he found out she’d snuck off with the Fifth Brother behind his back.
For three days, she made no calls to him, nor did he to her. Silence didn’t an he didn’t know her whereabouts—he just wanted to see how she would react and what she’d say when she saw him turn up at the airport.
Mi Chenxuan knew he was in a bad mood, so he didn’t dare say much during the ride.
By the ti they reached the airport, quite a few passengers had begun trickling out.
"Why are my Fourth Sister-in-law and Fifth Brother taking a comrcial flight? Doesn’t our family have planes for them to use?"
Behind his sunglasses, Tong Airui’s eyes squinted slightly. Sure, there were planes available, but they were afraid of being discovered and didn’t dare use them. Instead, they sneakily used a cargo plane to ship their racing cars.
Seeing Tong Airui brimming with frustration, Mi Chenxuan decided to put so distance between them. Barely two steps away, his gaze caught onto a petite figure.
The figure had long been etched into his mory, especially that cascade of knee-length hair!
Mi Chenxuan’s heart thumped uncontrollably. He sped up to catch up to the person, grabbing her shoulder, "Let’s see where you’re running this ti!"
The person he grabbed turned around, looking at him with utter bafflent.
Mi Chenxuan stared at her wrinkled, flower-like face and quickly let go, "Sorry, wrong person."
She glared at him before tugging her suitcase and storming out of the terminal.
Mi Chenxuan rubbed his hand fiercely against his pants, disgusted. Ugly people like her shouldn’t be coming out scaring others!
Tong Airui furrowed his brows in displeasure, asking, "After all this ti studying footprints, you still can’t distinguish if it’s a young lady or an aunt?"
"Damn, I ran into a back view killer!" Mi Chenxuan swore, "But wait, Fourth Brother, that fra and that little girl’s silhouette—they’re identical, not to ntion the hair..."
"Don’t think I don’t know what’s been on your mind these past few days! The mont you see soone with long hair, you lose control of yourself." Tong Airui shot him another glance, "Pull yourself together. You’re in a dangerous state right now!"
Mi Chenxuan lowered his head in sha, "Fourth Brother, I realize my mistake..."
Tong Airui turned toward him with a solemn tone, "Realizing it with your mouth won’t cut it—you need to truly wake up. In our line of work, one careless mistake could cost your life."
"Fourth Brother, I understand. I’ll get myself together as soon as I can and return to my best form." Mi Chenxuan swept his gaze behind Tong Airui, then quickly pulled it back unnoticed.
"I’ve been reprimanding you nonstop these past few days to shake you up. But looking at you today, all my painstaking effort has clearly gone in one ear and out the other."
"It hasn’t, it hasn’t!" Mi Chenxuan replied seriously one second, but the next was grinning as he reached to remove the sunglasses off Tong Airui’s nose.
