Aiden watched Ariel as she walked away. He wanted to follow her, but Logan stopped him.
"Let the lady be, Aiden; she's not going to run away from you; she just wants to take a call," Logan said.
Aiden sighed and removed his eyes from Ariel's direction.
"Here, to our friendship," Logan poured Aiden another glass of wine and shifted it to him.
Aiden was silent, he studied the glass for a few seconds before he accepted it.
"Cheers," Logan raised his glass and others followed, clinking their glasses together.
anwhile, Ariel was slowly walking toward the table she had seen Moon, she was smiling to herself when she saw Moon trying to use her hair to cover her face.
When she reached the table, instead of stopping, she walked right past her.
Moon saw Ariel walk past her and sighed in relief, she knew no one could see her from where she sat. She slowly turned to see where Ariel was heading; Maybe it was ti to send the sa waiter to deliver the drink to Aiden.
She was stage one who sent her the first ti, she didn't want it to be obvious she had asked a lady at the bat to pretend to be the one who sent one of Aiden's business partners a drink, that way, it would not look as if soone was specifically seeking for Mr. Aiden Cahz.
She took a deep breath and turned to see where Ariel had left, however, she didn't expect to almost fall off her chair from shock.
"Hi, Moon," Ariel smiled deeply at her.
Moon felt her heart skipping; she never thought Ariel was behind her; she thought she had gone out of the club or just far away from Aiden.
"A-ariel...what are you doing here?" She asked breathlessly.
Ariel kept her smile on, "Out on a business eting with my husband, you? Out hunting for another person's husband as usual?" She walked around and ca to stand beside Moon, blocking her way out of the seat.
Moon blinked, her fingers digging into her palm and leaving a mark.
She stared at Ariel and just wished she had never encountered her tonight; she knew without a doubt that her plan was over.
"I don't know what you're talking about, Ariel, excuse , I need to return ho to my daughter," She moved to stand up, but Ariel's hand pressed her down by the shoulder, stopping her.
"Not so fast, Moon, you've been here for quite so ti, don't let spoil your fun, please, sit back and keep spying, shift," Ariel commanded.
Moon sighed and moved inside the seat, making space for Ariel.
She couldn't understand the feeling she got each ti she saw Ariel before her; she was still trying to co to terms with the fact that the person who was supposed to be dead and forgotten was now back and tornting her soul.
She knew Ariel had a hand this ti, and it scared her, she knew Ariel hadn't told Aiden what happened three years and it scared her, she was left to wonder why Ariel was delaying, one thing was sure, Ariel was using it as a threat to her, she had to be careful with Ariel, of not, teigerringher the wrong way night lead to being exposed, and being exposed ant losing it all, which was sothing she isn't prepared to do.
She suddenly realized she was acting too much for soone who was under soone's watch. She was still under Ariel's watch for the ti being, and she should not be acting instinctively because Amy's wrong move might lead to the end of her chapter, she didn't want that. She shouldn't have co out tonight, knowing the atmosphere was still heated up and Aiden wasn't about to leave Ariel's side.
But she was desperate; giving them space was what she feared; everything would have ended for her during her waiting period.
'I would just play by Ariel's rule for the ti being, until I've gotten everything ready,' Moon thought to herself as she adjusted on the seat.
"You and I know you don't give a shit about that poor child," Ariel started, drumming her fingers on the marble table.
"Candy is my child, I love her, Ariel. Don't say what you don't know," Moon tried to sound bold, but her heart was strong within her; she didn't want to cause a scene that would draw Aiden's attention to her.
He would be so pissed to find out that she had followed him here.
Ariel smiled, "Yeah, you love her for the benefit you get from her father, not her; given a choice, you wouldn't even want a child between you and Aiden; you're so obsessed, Moon; I an, look what you did to . But that's not why I ca over," She sighed and relaxed against the chair.
Moon felt awkward, uncomfortable, and intimidated at the sa ti.
Ariel saw the drink in front of Moon and laughed, "You know, I wanted to order us a drink, you know, as co-wives, to chill and chat, but I see you already have a drink in front of you, why not drink it so I can order you another one," She smirked at Moon.
Her instinct told her that the drink wasn't for Moon; she would not be sitting with a drink for so long if she was planning to give it to soone else. And she was a hundred percent sure that the drink was poisoned, probably with an aphrodisiac, and she knew just the person Moon intended to give it to.
Her tricks were getting weaker and more stupid as the days went by; she was so easy to read, like an open book; she didn't scare Ariel anymore; she was more like a pasti activity for her.
Moon shifted uncomfortably, looking at the drink. She knew it wasn't ant for her, but she couldn't tell Ariel that. She cleared her throat and smiled at Ariel.
"Thank you for the offer, Ariel, but I enjoy taking little sips from my wine; I'm not a heavy drinker," She replied.
Ariel shook her head, "Nah, rember, years back, beside Aiden's pool? When we played that ga you forced to drink?" She washed the realization on Moon's face.
"Yeah, that's right, I know you rember. Before I got drunk, I rember you swallowing alcohol like it was a beverage, so a glass ans nothing to your evil souls; just down it already, Moon," Ariel pushed the glass to Moon.
"Now, listen carefully, I'm not as scheming as you, only cowards sche. If I want to do sothing, I don't do it half-assed like you do, I go all in," She tapped her finger beside the glass.
"One, this is taking revenge on you for making drink myself to stupor. Two, this is making you drink this spiked drink since you find it good for another person, that ans it's perfect for you; what's sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. Three, I'll give you more drinks until you can't stand on your feet, at the end of the night, you will willingly give yourselves to one of the n in this club, just like you intended to do with , but just like I said, you do your thing half-assed, you just got in bed and took a picture, but , I'm making sure you're delivering yourself right into the arms of a waiting man. Now drink," She lifted the glass to Moon.
Moon slowly collected it, begging her hands to be steady and stop shaking.
"Hesitating?" Ariel asked, "Well, I have an easy way out: drop the glass, walk over with to Aiden's table, and tell him all that you've done; I don't know; sothing tells that Candy isn't his; but I'll hold the phone on that till I'm sure. So, just tell him everything and accept your fate, which is being removed from the family, probably a restraining order to everyone in the family, and a new life for you, a horrible new life with nothing to your na," Ariel smiled at Moon.
Moon's mind raced, her hands were now shaking. This was the second ti Ariel had ntioned Candy's paternity; she feared she would discover sothing, but she relaxed when she rembered that she made sure to clean every piece of evidence; no human could ever retrieve it.
"I'll drink it," Moon replied and gulped down the drink.
Ariel smiled, "Good girl, the night is still young, I just hoped you waved down there, we don't want the poor man getting turned off, you and I know that's a public sewer,"
"Ariel..." Moon wanted to raise her hand but stopped, she saw Ariel calmly eating for her to do it.
She knew that wouldn't end well for her, so she composed herself.
"You learn quickly, I see, you might just be smarter than I thought, now, just like you ordered the first drink, order ten more," Ariel ordered.
Moon gulped, she wished she would have just stayed ho. How was she going to get out of that situation tonight?
