Aiden couldn't find Ariel inside the hospital, so he rushed outside; he'd find her mad to get this friction out of their way.

He wasn't comfortable with the distance between them, it was killing him.

"Good afternoon, Mr. Chaz," The receptionist greeted as Aiden walked past her desk.

Aiden paused, walking back to her. "Have you seen my wife?" He questioned.

The receptionist looked so puzzled, she shockingly fixed her short hair behind her ear and blinked slowly as she stared at Aiden.

"Wife? Sir...you have a wife?" She questioned very cautiously, not wanting her curiosity to cause her to lose her job.

Aiden ntally facepald, he'd forgotten that his marriage was still unknown by the public.

He sighed and shook his head, "Have you seen any beautiful lady walk past here?" He pointed along the exit.

The receptionist ford her mouth an 'O' shape as she recalled sothing.

"Yes, yes, I did see her. She just walked past here, and it seed as if she was rushing," She inford.

Aiden nodded, "Alright, Thanks."

He imdiately walked toward the exit, hoping he'd not miss her again.

He shouldn't have stayed back to talk to Moon; now he was on the verge of not knowing where his wife was, and that ant the problem between them was going to be left to simr until whenever they ironed things out between them.

He stepped outside the hospital building and ran out of the gates; he knew Ariel wouldn't be hanging around inside the compound waiting for him; she would have gone straight out, searching for a cab.

"Fuck this!" He cursed silently when he couldn't find her anywhere.

He looked from left to right and beca ntally exhausted.

He just wanted to get things how it was between them. Was it too much to ask?

"Hey, she left?" Ken asked as he walked over to Aiden beside the gate.

Aiden sighed and looked back at him. "Yes," He replied.

Kenn nodded, "She seed angry."

"She was," Aiden moved back and leaned his back on the wall.

Ken stared at Aiden for a long ti and realized that he'd lost the ga.

He'd never seen his friend like this, worried and scared of losing soone. It was only one thing that could get a man to look that way...Love.

He sighed and put his hand in his pocket. There was only one way to find out if he was totally out of the ga or if he still had a chance.

He walked over to Aiden and leaned beside him on the wall. "You love her..." He said the sa thing he'd said for months now but was always denied or ignored by Aiden, today, he had a feeling he'd get a reply.

Aiden chuckled, "More than it's humanely possible," He sighed.

Ken felt his heart shatter into a million pieces; he felt as if his chest was constricting and he couldn't breathe in oxygen.

Was this his heart getting broken? He was hurting so badly inside but he kept calm outside, looking unaffected.

"That's...good news, I guess..." Ken said in a quiet voice.

Aiden nodded and removed his back from the wall, facing Ken.

"So, this ans you'll stop chasing my wife, right?" Aiden questioned with narrowed eyes.

Ken knew he'd bring it up, after all, he had promised that he'd step back if Aiden fell in love with Airel.

He nodded, smiling sadly, "That's what it ans...can I ask sothing?" Ken looked at Aiden.

Aiden nodded without speaking.

"Does she feel the sa about you? Does she love you?" Ken narrowed his eyes at Aiden.

Aiden chuckled, he knew Ken was still looking for a loophole in his relationship, but unfortunately for him, there was none.

"She said so this morning, and last night, and the night before-"

"Alr, alright, I get it, I get it..." Ken sighed heavily.

It was really over for him and he guessed that was his Karma for what he'd planned to do with Moon. He guessed he deserved to remain single and unloved for a very long ti.

"You're such a lucky bastard, Aiden," Ken smiled at him.

"I know, and you're not," Aiden smirked at him.

Ken scoffed, "Don't be cocky; it looks like you're having a problem right now...who knows? She might decide on a divorce and realize that I'm the right person for her," Ken warned playfully.

"You wish; see you later, Ken; I got a wife to chase," Aiden smirked at Ken and walked toward his car.

Ken nodded, looking at Auden as he entered his car and drove ho.

Before, Moon used to be the only one who could get Aiden worried, but now Ariel had taken that spot, and this ti it was like nothing he'd ever seen.

As Aiden drove ho, he recalled what Ken had said and wished that it wouldn't be true. He knew Ariel was angry, but he knew it wasn't anger that would cause her to want a divorce; he believed she loved him too much to even think about doing that to him.

However, it was still in his mind and it was still one of his fears.

Aiden drove into his compound and quickly left his car, running into the house.

He was just about to run to their room when his phone ran into his pocket. He didn't stop walking as he answered Jess' call.

"Jess?" He called and continued walking up the stairs.

"What?" He paused on the third stair, frowning.

"Jess, can you just give her the phone, o need to speak with her," Aiden sounded frustrated.

He went quiet and listened to what Jess was saying.

"But can you just-" He sighed as he heard the click sound of an ended call.

For one whole week!

He rubbed his hand over his face, saddened.

Ariel had asked him to stay away from her for one whole week. She needed space to let her anger go away before she would be ready to speak to him again.

He could hear the excitent in Jess' voice; that witch was really looking for soone to fall in love with her, as she ntioned earlier.

That is why she was very happy to deliver Ariel's ssage to him, now she was the one who had company, and he was the lonely one.

He had no choice but to obey Ariel's instruction; at least, it wasn't signing the divorce papers, that would have been worse.

He slowly turned and faced the empty house...one week?

How was he supposed to stay one whole week without his Ariel?

Damn, this was a tough one, but he'd show her that he was a good man by obeying what she'd instructed.

He would refrain from driving down to Jess' house and lifting Ariel over his shoulder and bringing her back to his bed...ho.

"Fuck this," He walked back down the stairs and plumped himself onto the sofa he'd just shared with Ariel that morning.

"How have I been Living like this?" He looked around his quiet and fancy house and felt no happiness at all, it was depressing.

Je suddenly rembered what he'd planned with Abbey when Ariel had gone to the kitchen that morning; he hadn't told him about what he planned to do on the day he t with Catherine and her daughter.

He only hoped she'd understand when he explained everything to her.

He sighed tiredly and picked up his phone, it was ti for him to reunite with his friend.

"Hey, Kenneth, want to co over for so drinks? Sure, I'll be waiting," He finished and threw the phone beside him.

"Yes, Daddy, I know. Don't worry, I will make our family the richest in the country, if not the whole world; trust , you'll never beco a laughingstock, I promise you," Eva spoke into her phone as he stood beside her window that night in her pink nightdress.

Her mother stood beside her, smiling from ear to ear; just one more day to their date with Aiden; she had already prepared everything beforehand; there was no way she was losing this ti around.

"Yes, goodnight, Daddy," Eva kissed her phone and ended the call.

She turned to her mother with a bright smile. We're winning this, Mom," Eva excitedly hugged her mother.

Catherine gently patted her daughter's back and stepped away from her.

"Maybe this would make you more excited?" Catherine smiled mischievously and played a voice note for Eva to hear.

"I visited Grandma Nari and heard him saying he's already smitten with your daughter. He's told his grandma that he wants to marry Eva, and she approved."

The voice note ended, leaving Eva confused for a second before she jumped in excitent.

"No way!" She laughed happily.

"Yes way," Catherine replied proudly.

"That's Abbey, right?" Eva asked.

"Yes. Now, you know what you're going for; we have to make you look your best and just leave the rest to mummy, okay?" Catherine patted Eva's cheeks.

Eva nodded, she was full of excitent and couldn't wait for that day to co already.
