Moom sluggishly tried to sit up on the bed, but Viktor placed a gentle hand on her shoulder, stopping her.
"Easy, Moon, you've just woken up, you don't need to stress your body," He softly reminded.
Moon lay back on the bed but she hadn't even spared Viktor a single look.
"Aiden, my hand hurts," She said in a weak voice.
Aiden silently walked toward her, pausing beside Viktor.
He didn't move or touch her; he just stood there and stared at her. He was deciding the best approach to speak to her, and it wouldn't seem as if he was giving her the wrong impression of liking her more than a sister.
"Aiden, I'm scared; I don't want to die..." Moon sobbed quietly.
Aiden nodded, "That's the point, Moon. You should have thought about that before slicing your wrist with a knife. You have to be an adult and face the consequences you brought upon yourself, Moon. We're no longer kids, and I can't keep treating you as one. Viktor is here for whatever you'll need; don't look for ; I need to go find my wife," He looked her right in the eyes as he said those words.
Aiden turned away from Moon and walked out of the room.
Everyone was left surprised, especially Ken.
They all knew that if it were in the past, Aiden would have chosen to stay back and watch over Moon rather than go after Ariel.
"He left ..." Moon sobbed louder.
Viktor sighed and held her hand, "Hey, co on, baby girl, you don't need to be sad, I'm right here in front of you, and, as Aiden said, I'm ready to do whatever you want for you, anything, just na it," Viktor promised in a gentle voice.
"Anything?" Moon asked.
Viktor nodded.
"Can you get Aiden to co-"
"Except that...of course," Viktor shook his head.
Moom sighed and turned her face away from him.
She was really angry, does it an that all her efforts were wasted?
Did Aiden not realize that she was going through all this pain because of him?
Couldn't she get his attention tomorrow even by going to the extres like she did?
If this doesn't get Aiden to like her and stay beside her, then what can?
Ken slowly walked over to the bed. He had a lot of things to ask Moon, but Vintor was there, and he didn't want any other person finding out what they'd done.
He reached Moon's bed and sighed, making Moon turn and glare at him.
She, too, was angry and blad Ken for making their plan fail.
"You had one job, Ken, just one job, if only you did as planned, I wouldn't be here suffering unnecessarily like this," Moon blad.
Viktor was confused, looking from Moon to Ken with a questioning gaze.
Ken chuckled darkly, "I shouldn't have done that with you, Moon. I was out of my mind. And maybe it's ti for you to give it up and focus on the person who loves you, it's a surprise you have soone who does...you deserve all the pain you're getting, and unless you heal yourself and refrain from manipulating people, you're set to face more pain in the future." He gave her a small smile and looked toward Viktor.
"Good luck, mate," He tapped his shoulder and walked out of the room, too.
"What are you guys talking about?" Viktor questioned as it was just he and Moon inside the hospital room.
Moon went quiet, she was so angry and had almost revealed their secret.
"Nothing," She replied.
"I'm thirsty," She pointed at the table beside her bed.
Viktor sighed and stood from his chair; he walked over to the table and poured her a glass of water before returning to her.
He gently elevated her bed to a sitting position and brought the water up to her lips.
"I got you, baby girl..." He removed her hand that was aiming to collect the glass of water from his hand, placing the glass on her lips and helping her drink the water himself.
"Thank you," Moon whispered after she finished the whole glass of water.
Viktor nodded and returned the glass to the table then went back and sat down in his chair.
He was staring at Moon's face, trying to see if he could find the reason to hate her too, but he couldn't.
And that's why it hurt him so damn much. He loved her even with her glaring faults, yet she treated him like shit.
He had tried to move on, but none of his tactics worked, he'd still find himself longing for Moon.
She was fucked up, but so was he for wanting soone like Moon, too.
"Stop staring at , Viktor," Moon frowned at him.
Viktor cautiously held her hand, placing his elbows on the bed.
"I'm hurt, Moon," He said in a serious tone, looking into her eyes.
"That's none of my business," Moon shrugged.
Viktor felt her words drive through his heart like a sword.
"Why are you so an to ? I'm here, caring about you because you're hurt, no...you hurt yourself...again, and all you have to tell is that you don't care about my emotions," He was slowly massaging the insides of her palm as he spoke.
"I never asked you to love , Viktor," Moon replied.
Viktor nodded, "Love is not asked, Moon, it's given," He kissed the back of her hand, still looking into her eyes.
"I believe that our years together weren't entirely a lie, Moon. There were tis you looked at as if I was the only man in your world; you've once looked upon with love, Moon, I know that, and I want that back between us. Please..." Viktor begged.
"I'm sorry, Viktor, I've never loved you, I can't give you what you're asking for," Moon stated.
"That's a lie," Viktor replied imdiately.
There was silence between them for a few seconds.
"If only you'll love half the way you loved Aiden, I'd be the happiest man on earth, Moon. I promise to cherish you for the rest of my life, please; I've really tried, but I still couldn't move on from our ti together. I forgive you for all the emotional manipulation you did to ; I'm ready to start anew with you, baby girl, just give that chance to prove to you that you can be loved too because I fucking love you; it's driving crazy," Viktor confessed.
Moon was surprised.
She never knew Viktor would still feel this way for her even after she confessed to him that she had gotten into a relationship with him just to see if Aiden would be jealous.
Although, she was never going to openly accept that she did love him and maybe, just maybe, even now too.
But she loved Aiden more than anything or anyone. He was the right person for her, and she wasn't going to settle for anyone except him.
She was about to tell Viktor to give it up already when an idea popped into her mind.
She stared down at Viktor's handso face and smiled at him.
Viktor froze, he couldn't believe that Moon was smiling at him.
"You love ?" She questioned in a soft tone, sothing Viktor hadn't heard in a long ti.
He nodded vigorously, "Yes, I love you."
Moon nodded, "Then, maybe we should work sothing out between us, right?" She questioned with a smile, raising her hand to his face and caressing his jaw.
Viktor was like a kitten to Moon's touch, he closed his eyes and lay his head on her hand. "Yes, baby girl, I want to work out sothing with you." His voice was a purr as he sighed blissfully.
'Was this where our love story began?' He thought to himself.
"Fine, I accept, I've realized my mistakes, and I want to focus on those who love , just as Ken said...but you have to be convincing enough for to love you," She gently scratched his jawline with her fingers.
Viktor slowly stood from the bed and leaned over her, placing each of his hands beside her.
He lowered his face very close to hers and whispered, "You know I can be very convincing, baby girl," He leaned down and covered his lips with hers.
Viktor kissed Moon very softly as if he was afraid he'd hurt her, he gently sucked her lips just a few tis before he withdrew from her.
Moon blinked a few tis before looking away from him. She couldn't believe she enjoyed that kiss, but not yet, it wasn't ti to lose focus.
"Promise you'll never hurt yourself like this again, and I don't an to touch a sour topic but also promise that you stop your manipulation, please; it hurts each ti I realize that you're hurting as a result of your actions. Promise , baby girl?" He was so soft-spoken toward her.
Moon smiled up at him, "I promise." She kissed his cheek and hugged him.
