Bao Jingyan said softly, "Indeed, quite capable!"
Su Ruanruan knew he was angry.
She placed her hand on his arm, soothing, "Let’s check on Anran first."
Bao Jingyan could never resist her gentleness.
He reined in his temper and took Anran from her.
Anran was carried to the guest room on the second floor, her consciousness slightly muddled because of the pain.
Bao Jingyan clenched his teeth in heartache.
Su Ruanruan sat beside the bed, gently patting Anran’s face.
She whispered, "Don’t be afraid, I’m here!"
Anran, groggy, clutched her hand, calling her na as if in a dream: "Ruanruan... Ruanruan..."
Su Ruanruan turned to the side.
She said to Bao Jingyan, "You go out first."
Bao Jingyan nodded.
Bai Muye did not move, so Su Ruanruan had to ask him again, "Mr. Bai, could you please step out as well?"

Anran did not answer, just said, "I’m sorry."
Su Ruanruan did not continue.
Because she saw Anran’s entire body.
All burned.
She thought: It’s still evening; if it had been dayti when she went out, she dared not even think about it.
At the door, there was a knocking sound...
Su Ruanruan choked up and asked, "Who is it?"
Gui Zhi’s voice ca from outside, "I heard the young miss ca over, I ca to check."
Su Ruanruan did not underestimate the elderly.
She covered Anran properly with the thin blanket, then turned to open the door.
Gui Zhi ca carrying a basin of Spirit Pearl Grass, and in her other hand a dicinal grinder.
Su Ruanruan exclaid, "Aunt Gui, what is this?"
Gui Zhi set down the items, pulled back the thin blanket, and took a close look.
She was heartbroken yet couldn’t help scolding, "Such a disobedient child, burned like this!"
Anran’s nose was pink.
She was afraid!
She had been protected since childhood and had no mory of being burned ever before.
Gui Zhi plucked the leaves of Spirit Pearl Grass, placed them in a pot and ground them into juice with the dicinal grinder.
She told Su Ruanruan, "Back when household servants got scalded, I used to make this grass into juice from the recipe Master brought ho and apply it to the wound!"
She chuckled, "Hey, albeit a rustic recipe, its utility is trendous! Overnight, the skin would mostly recover and smooth out."
Su Ruanruan wondered, "Really that effective? Aunt Gui, I have never heard you ntion this before."
Gui Zhi smiled, "Miss Su, you are a doctor of the new era, and this is just an old rustic recipe; it’s not sothing to brag about."
Yet, Su Ruanruan modestly said, "Aunt Gui, you shouldn’t say that; if it works, you’ve helped a lot."
She slled the dicinal juice.
She asked Anran, "Would you dare to use it?"
Anran, with tears, nodded.
Su Ruanruan patted her hand.
She personally applied the dicine all over Anran’s body.
It hurt at first, but Anran intelligently endured.
Aunt Gui sat beside her, holding her hand to comfort her, "Girl, it’ll feel better in a bit."
Anran, looking at her loving face, felt more at ease.
Su Ruanruan spent ten minutes helping Anran apply the dicine.
Anran felt pain initially, but later felt a cool and refreshing relief!
She said, "It’s quite comfortable."
Su Ruanruan was delighted and told Anran, "Aunt Gui really saved your life."
Pretending to be angry, she said to Gui Zhi, "Such a good thing, and Aunt Gui always ntioned it’s good for promoting marital bliss, you really fooled us well."
