Logan activated his mana sight, making sure he avoided the most dangerous creatures as he climbed down the tree.

’I can’t attract attention to myself, no matter what.’

Once his feet hit the ground, his eyes imdiately scanned his surroundings.

Dozens of wolves, serpents, and even Treants stord past him each second, their eyes locked on the dungeon exit.

None of the crazed creatures noticed him.

’Careful,’ Logan thought, heart pounding as he moved forward.

He used as many trees and rocks as cover, avoiding the open at all costs.

As he reached the final few hundred feet before the exit, he ca to a halt.

’There’s no cover anymore,’ he thought.

All the trees and rocks had been ripped out of the ground and crushed by the creatures. What’s more, the creatures all gathered up at the entrance, creating a literal sea of them.

’How the hell am I supposed to get through that horde without being seen?’ he thought, gritting his teeth.

His eyes darted around, searching desperately for a way out.

He knew there was only one exit, but still hoped for a miracle—maybe a gap in the wall, a collapsed tunnel, anything to slip through.

But he found nothing.

He swallowed hard, his mind racing in a panic.

’If I run, they’ll see . If I hide, I’ll be trapped.’

As he clenched his fist, his eyes fell on the massive Treants heading for the exit.

They weren’t fast, but they were tall.

’If I could climb it...’

The other creatures on the ground wouldn’t notice him up there, and the Treants were so large, he wasn’t sure if it would even notice soone on its body.

Logan swallowed his fear, knowing the longer he waited, the worse the situation would get.

’If it spots ... I’ll die,’ he thought, summoning his glaive from his space ring. ’I only get one chance at this.’

The ground shook as a Treant was about to pass the location he was hiding at.

He clenched his hands tightly around his glaive, and without another thought, bolted toward it the minute it had its back turned.

Wolves and serpents imdiately noticed and pounced toward him.

Logan activated his flaming body technique and shot forward, dodging their attacks.

The Treant seed to notice the commotion too, its massive body starting to turn.

’No...’

Ti seed to slow down for Logan as he followed its rotation and jumped up.

Logan’s fingers scraped against the rough bark as he grabbed hold. He glanced behind him, the Treant’s massive arm swinging his way.

’It noticed!’ he thought, quickly pushing his feet against the bark to jump even higher.

The Treant let out a low groan as its arm slamd into its own body.

It paused for a mont, almost like it was checking for damage.

But when it couldn’t sense Logan anymore, its eyes returned to the exit and it kept walking.

Logan had his fingers gripped tightly around a branch near the top, a wave of relief washing over him as he realized that the Treant had given up.

’I can survive this,’ he thought, pulling himself up on the branch.

He settled on the thick branch, his body still shaking from the rush of adrenaline.

His back hit the bark as he stared down, heart pounding as he feared falling into the sea of creatures below.

Logan glanced at the ceiling above him, seeing it slowly start to slope downwards.

’I’m almost there,’ he thought, closing his eyes for a mont.

He couldn’t see the dungeon exit from the back of the Treant’s thick body.

A soft hiss made Logan glance up toward the highest branches.

He locked eyes with a large green serpent.

The serpent stared at him for a mont before it started hissing furiously.

His heart skipped a beat.

If the serpent lunged and missed, it could drag him off the branch. Worse, it might snap the entire branch and take him down with it.

’I let my guard down,’ he thought, his glaive reappearing in his hands.

Green liquid dripped from the serpent’s mouth. When it hit the bark in front of him, black smoke rose into the air.

’Acid,’ he thought, eyes narrowing.

He raised his hand, conjuring a sharp bone spike.

More acid dripped onto the branch as the serpent slowly slithered down toward him.

Logan extended the bone into a spear and sent it spinning into the air.

Suddenly, the serpent lunged from above, mouth wide open and fangs exposed.

’Wait...’ he thought, eyes locked on the serpent.

’Now.’

The bone spear shot up, piercing straight through the serpent’s mouth.

Logan stepped back fast as blood and acid splashed across the branch.

The serpent’s body crashed on his branch, the acid splattering everywhere before it slid off, heading straight for the creatures below.

He reactivated his mana sight, scanning the tree in an instant.

’Nothing,’ he thought, letting out a sigh of relief.

He looked ahead, but the forest and underground river were already gone.

’There’s no mana crystals anymore,’ he thought, glancing at the ceiling. ’I’m in the final stretch now.’

Entering the tunnel, Logan imdiately noticed that the massive stalactites had all disappeared from the ceiling, likely having been knocked down by the Treants.

It didn’t take long before Logan felt the weird feeling from passing through the natural mana barrier.

The Treant shook slightly, forcing Logan to hold on tightly.

Then, it continued walking.

Faint roars and distant explosions reached his ears as sunlight spilled into the tunnel ahead.

His heart pounded harder.

Finally, the Treant stepped out of the tunnel, the bright light from the sun almost blinding Logan.

’’Ugh,’’ he mumbled, raising his hand above his eyes.

He opened his eyes and imdiately noticed the ruined wall outside the dungeon.

’It’s completely turned to rubble,’ he thought, catching sight of several thorny vines rooting out of the ground.

Far in the distance, he could see smoke rising from the actual town.

Thick black smoke rose up into the sky as explosions rang out left and right.

Screams echoed in the distance as the city’s ergency sirens blared at maximum volu.

A wave of guilt washed over him as the tallic sll of blood entered his nose.

’This wasn’t supposed to happen.’

He clenched his hands, nails digging into his palms.

’I never wanted to get innocent civilians involved in this.’
