As pieces of Derek’s body fell to the ground, the entire arena turned deathly quiet.

No cheers, no clapping, not even gasps—just pure silence.

Looking at Derek’s body, Logan felt no emotions.

’Well,’ he thought, shaking his head slightly. ’I might get in trouble for this.’

The jurors quickly jumped off their podium, rushing towards Derek.

As they reached him, ugly expressions spread across their faces, knowing this was irreparable.

One of them stood up and quickly approached Logan.

"That strike was excessive," the juror snapped, voice tight with anger. "Do you realize what you’ve done?"

"It was an accident," Logan said, his expression neutral. "Besides, he signed up for this possibility."

"An accident? Hell as if it was," the juror shouted, quickly being stopped by another juror.

Leaving the shouting juror behind, Logan slowly walked off the field.

’This will be troubleso at most,’ he thought, entering the narrow passage. ’They might expel if they are certain it was intentional.’

With all the dungeon rumors and bad blood between families, Logan knew the chances of expulsion were high.

’At the sa ti, after the investigation, they’ll also find out that my protective gear was broken,’ he thought. ’I might be able to bla it on that.’

After checking out with his student ID, he stepped out of the preparation area and into the corridor.

He could see many students pour out of the viewing stands in the distance, all talking about the fight.

’Let’s wait out of sight for a little,’ he thought, rembering Derek had siblings inside the school. ’I want to prevent any fights for now.’

He was exhausted, with barely any mana left after using the advanced Flaming Body technique along with undead mana. If sothing happened now, he couldn’t defend himself.

Sending a ssage to his friends about where he was, Logan waited patiently for them.

’I wonder how they’ll think of now,’ he thought, a brief flicker of worry passing through him.

Leaning against the wall, arms crossed, he stared down the corridor.

’It was needed,’ he thought, calm and certain. ’Who knows what he would’ve done if I hadn’t.’

He didn’t feel guilty. If given the chance, he would’ve done it again.

It didn’t take long before his friends turned the corner together with Livia.

Grant, Thomas, and Layla had slightly awkward expressions on their faces, while Robert and Ethan smiled, and Livia’s expression sat hidden behind her veil.

Robert was the first to approach him, his smile growing wider."Good fight," Robert said, raising his fist for a fist bump. "It was a clean hit at the end."

Logan bumped fists with him but stayed silent.

"He knew what he signed up for," Robert continued, seeing Logan’s silence. "Honestly... he got off easy for what he did to you and Livia."

Glancing at him in surprise, Logan also let out a smile.

"Damn right he did," Grant said, grinning as he stepped forward to pat him on his back. "Guy got what was coming. I’ve never seen anything as badass as you lting through him."

Layla looked at Grant with a frown of discomfort, while Thomas took a small step back.

"I can’t believe the university’s equipnt failed like that," Ethan said loudly, frowning. "This place runs on billions. Providing decent protective gear should be the bare minimum."

As they continued talking, Logan heard a voice in his head.

"Thank you," Livia’s voice echoed through his head. "You were amazing."

Glancing over at Livia, who was leaning against the wall, he gave a small nod.

Without saying anything further, she turned around and walked away.

"You’ve gotta tell about that last move," Grant said, pulling Logan closer.

Smiling, Logan turned his head back to the others to continue their conversation.

After another hour in which Layla also slowly ward back up to him, Logan waved them goodbye as he headed to his room.

Before he reached his room, a soft beep ca from his watch.

[You have been suspended from any actions within university grounds until further notice,] Logan read, nodding slowly.

’Completely within expectations,’ he thought, turning his hologram off.

Logan locked the door behind him once he got back to his room, then sent ssages to Edric and Silas.

"This will definitely speed the conflict up," Logan mumbled, before switching back to the university’s official ssage. "Maybe the suspension isn’t so bad after all."

After reading through the full ssage, he shut off his hologram projector.

’I’m not exactly liable for any actual criminal charges, since it happened inside a duel ring,’ he thought. ’But the university does have the right to expel .’

A soft alarm rang in his room, letting him know soone was at the door.

Logan stood up, curious who was standing outside.

Looking through the small peephole, he found Livia standing outside.

He unlocked the door without hesitation, rembering the reward she had promised him before the duel.

"Good afternoon," Logan said, holding the door open for her.

Livia stepped inside fast, almost like she didn’t want to be seen out there.

She took off her veil and tossed it aside the mont the door shut.

Before Logan could turn around, two warm arms embraced him tightly.

"Thank you," Livia whispered, her voice quiet.

Logan didn’t move. He let her stay there, enjoying the feeling himself.

When she let go, she walked over to the couch without saying anything else.

"Was that all there was to the reward?" Logan asked, smiling as he turned around.

He caught a faint blush across her cheeks, making him raise an eyebrow in surprise. ’This girl who always teased and tortured , is now blushing?’ he thought, shaking his head with a large smile.

"Idiot," she muttered, quickly pulling up a hologram. "Who said that was the reward?"

"Take a look at this!"

Walking over to the couch, Logan sat down beside her. He looked closely at the hologram, surprise flickering across his face.

"The Imperial Church agreed?" he asked, turning to her.

"Yes," she nodded, her expression turning normal. "They want to start imdiately... especially after what you pulled today."

Logan nodded as he started thinking. ’That’s perfect, it’ll give so more ti to expand on the fast food business.’

"Also," Livia continued, hesitantly. "They advised you to drop out of university since Derek’s siblings will target you for what you did."

Shaking his head as he stopped thinking, Logan smiled.

"That won’t be needed," he said, staring into her eyes. "I don’t mind them coming for one bit."
