Chapter 89: Would You Accept a Gift From an Unfamiliar Man?
Zhu Limin had just finished setting up the dinner table when Chi Yan returned with Lan Yunhan.
“Uncle, Auntie.” Lan Yunhan smiled and greeted Zhu Limin and Chi Mingwei. He glanced at Chi Jiao from the corner of his eye.
Chi Jiao was currently holding her phone and browsing Weibo, seemingly not seeing him.
It had been almost a month since she logged into her Weibo account. She had just logged in when an overwhelming number of private ssages ca flooding in.
Luckily, her phone was custom-made. Otherwise, it would have definitely died.
Chi Jiao’s Weibo account na was CJ, and she already had a million fans. Usually, she would share so knowledge about skincare on Weibo, as well as so small tips on nursing a woman’s health. Occasionally, she would even sell her homade facial masks.
She had never taken a selfie and exposed what she looked like before. Her profile picture was a rabbit gnawing on a carrot. She had never shared any private matters on Weibo, either. Even so, many fans followed her.
This was because the things she shared were all very useful. There were even so large costics companies that ca to discuss a collaboration with her, hoping to buy the formula for her homade facial masks. However, they were all rejected by her.
Chi Jiao didn’t lack money. She used Weibo purely out of interest.
As an Internet celebrity who had a million fans, Chi Jiao wasn’t one who updated frequently. She updated every ten days, but every Weibo post would have more than ten thousand forwards and comnts.
This ti, there had been no update for almost a month. Chi Jiao saw many ssages asking her where she had gone for so long. So even guessed that sothing had happened to her, and they almost called the police for her.
Chi Jiao couldn’t finish reading all the private ssages, so she simply sent a Weibo ssage.
[The missing person has returned to report. Everything’s fine. Please don’t miss her. A new product will be released a week later. As usual, there’s a limit of 100 sets.]
After posting that, Chi Jiao logged out.
Lan Yunhan chatted with Chi Mingwei and Zhu Limin for a while. Chi Yan went upstairs to call Chi Ze, who had been doing his howork, down. After that, Lan Yunhan took out the gifts he had bought.
He had bought an expensive tea set for Chi Mingwei, a new LV bag for Zhu Limin, and the latest ga console for Chi Ze. Lan Yunhan had even prepared Chi Jiao a gift.
“Jiaojiao, this is the present Yunhan has personally chosen for you. Take a look and see if you like it.” Chi Yan was very willing to pretend she had a good relationship with Chi Jiao in front of others. Chi Jiao couldn’t be bothered to expose her. She glanced indifferently at the Chanel bag she handed over, but she didn’t intend to take it.
“I don’t lack anything. Thank you.” Out of courtesy, Chi Jiao still responded perfunctorily.
Chi Yan didn’t expect her to reject it. The Chanel bag in her hand was a new release, and it wasn’t cheap.
Shouldn’t this country bumpkin be accepting it gratefully?
Who was she pretending to be cold for now?
“It looks like I’ve considered things poorly. It looks like Jiaojiao doesn’t like this gift,” Lan Yunhan said with a smile, his gaze directed at Chi Jiao filled with profound aning.
“Jiaojiao, this is Chanel’s new bag model. Since Yunhan ticulously selected it for you, just accept it.” Chi Yan felt that Chi Jiao didn’t know what was good for her. Perhaps she didn’t know that this bag was expensive, so she kindly reminded her.
“Would you accept a gift from an unfamiliar man?” Chi Jiao’s distinct eyes were filled with cold mockery as she looked at Chi Yan.
