Chapter 266: I Thought You Didn’t Want to See

After leaving the apartnt, Chi Jiao thought for a mont before calling Pei Yao.

She had exchanged contact details with her previously.

Far away in Shang Jing, Pei Yao didn’t expect Chi Jiao to take the initiative to call her. She was a little surprised and flattered as she picked up the call.

“Sister Yao, I think I found another Esper,” Chi Jiao said after the call went through.

“Did the Esper attack you? Are you injured?” Pei Yao’s tone instantly turned nervous.

“No, I just suspect that she’s an Esper. Sister Yao, is there any way to prove that she is one?” This was the first ti Chi Jiao had seen two souls sharing a body.

After thinking about it, she felt that there should be a soul in Chi Yan’s body. Moreover, it was that soul who helped Chi Yan enter the S911 laboratory and advised her to use the srizing Water to seduce Quan Yan.

“We have professional instrunts. Is that Esper with you?” Pei Yao asked.

“Yes, she can’t hurt for now,” Chi Jiao said.

“Alright, then. I’m on a mission right now. I’ll take the earliest flight there tomorrow. If you encounter any danger before that, contact Huo Chen imdiately, okay?” Pei Yao felt that it was hard to explain things over the phone, so she had to make a trip over to feel more assured.

“Sorry to trouble you, Sister Yao,” Chi Jiao said sweetly.

Pei Yao’s maiden heart already lted into water when she heard the cute and sweet voice calling her “sister” over the phone. “Since you’re calling sister, you don’t have to be so polite. Be good and wait for .”

“Alright, bye, Sister Yao.” Chi Jiao smiled and hung up the phone.

Quan Jue’s examinations were an hour later than Chi Jiao’s. When he ca out of school, the sky was already dark.

A very low-profile black Volkswagen car was parked at the school gate.

Quan San was standing beside the black Volkswagen. When he saw Quan Jue walking out of the school gate, he imdiately walked towards him. “Young Master, did everything go well for the exam?”

Quan Jue nodded indifferently and frowned at him. “Didn’t I say that if I don’t contact you, you shouldn’t co looking for ?”

“Sir is sitting in the car and would like to see you,” Quan San said obediently.

Quan Jue glanced at the extrely low-profile black Volkswagen not far away, and frustration flashed across his eyes.

Without saying a word, he strode quickly to the car.

Quan San jogged behind him and opened the door for him.

Quan Jue got into the backseat and saw the middle-aged man sitting inside.

The man was dressed in a stern and rigid black suit with a black tie. His aura was stable yet a little threatening.

He was about forty years old, but his figure was still youthful. His face, which looked a little similar to Quan Jue’s, was still indescribably handso. It was just that his eyes and eyebrows had more maturity in them.

There was an obviously small scar on the left brow bone of his handso face.

The middle-aged man smiled the mont saw Quan Jue. “I thought you didn’t want to see .”

His deep voice, which sounded a little hoarse, resounded slowly in the car.

“Manage your eldest son properly. Tell him that not everyone wants the Quan family’s assets.” Quan Jue was prepared to get out of the car after saying his piece.

However, his arm was held tightly by Quan Jingzhou.

“Don’t you want to know who wanted to kill you the last ti?” Quan Jingzhou asked in a low voice.

Quan Jue didn’t move. Instead, he turned to look at him.

Quan Jingzhou’s eyes were so deep that they seed bottomless. There was also an unfathomable glint in them. “If that person strikes again, I’m afraid they won’t let your little girlfriend off, either.”
