"Still not enough..."
Such words escaped Jamie’s lips as the man looked at his level that didn’t seem to want to increase any further than it currently was.
Below and around him, were the floating corpses of hundreds of dead rmaids, and dragons. Each of them was a Legendary Realm existence with power capable of flattening entire mountains, but all had t death at Jamie’s hands.
"But it is still not enough."
The man muttered to himself once more, ignoring the Sovereigns who were breathing heavily as they surrounded him.
With how long Jamie had lived, it’d be stranger if he didn’t have any ans to handle underwater combat, and this ans ca in the form of a skill.
|Dive (Transcendent);
Type: Ultra Rare Auxiliary Skill. |
It was a skill that aided underwater movent, which lessened the negative effects derived from underwater action for Terrestrial-type races.
It made it possible to breathe and talk too, thus allowing normal communication.
The Skill itself was fairly common, but this only applied to the Low, Middle, and High (L, M, H) Variants. The Extre and Peak (E & P) Variants? Not so much, not to talk of the Transcendent (T) Variant Jamie had.
With it, Jamie could spend days underwater without issue, as opposed to the lower variants that only allowed one to spend a couple dozen minutes. The energy consumption was quite inefficient as well.
But anyway, his Dive Skill wasn’t really an issue at this point in ti, Jamie’s level was.
’I need to beco Transcendent, very quickly.’
One might think that Jamie was rushing things, and indeed he was. The man had all the ti in the Universe to reach his forr peak, but he was rushing things.
In the span of a month, he had gone from Inferior Legendary to Inferior Sovereign, the kind of change that people took decades to achieve.
His speed was already freakishly fast, but he wanted it to be even faster.
There were two reasons for this.
The first was that in order to not be a hindrance to Miranda when fighting Ikerth, he needed to be at least a Transcendent.
Well, he wouldn’t be a hindrance in his current state but that was only if he used his Trump Card.
Jamie was originally okay with things being like this but after a few days of careful consideration, he changed his mind.
Because of the Second Reason.
’After we are done here, word would have gotten around that I’m awake, and a lot of people would be looking for .
I don’t want any of them to notice I’ve lost my power, and that needs to surpass Transcendence to stop their prying eyes.’
Jamie needed his Authority in the law of Subterfuge to pull off a disguise that even Race Kings would not see through, but he could only access that Authority after Transcendence.
More importantly, if word got out, then there was a high chance that the person Miranda was wary of would know too.
She had changed his Castle’s location because of an ’Unknown Threat’, sothing she called an ’Annoying Vestige’.
"A Vestige, huh? Is it that of a past opponent?"
Miranda was the person who knew Jamie’s Peak power more so than anyone else in the universe, save the ’Witch of Chaos’. She knew just how ridiculously strong his body and soul at his peak were.
So, if this ’Annoying Vestige’ was sothing that even she considered to be a ’Threat’, then Jamie could guess what kind of existence it was.
And that was all the more reason why he needed to regain his power, even if he was rushing things.
Besides, if he overloaded himself and ’died’, he’d just co ’back to life’ imdiately.
"I can’t create a Blood Fruit again...it hasn’t been long since I took the last one. I don’t wanna have an upset stomach."
The Sovereigns he was fighting couldn’t care less about his monologue and were taking the opportunity to heal their wounds.
Escaping was pointless as the Dinsional Lock cast by a Unique Skill using Jamie was not sothing that even Transcendents could break easily.
"Oh well..."
Jamie put his thoughts at the back of his mind for now, thinking that he’d have Miranda weaken one of Ikerth’s Lieutenants for him to ’devour’ later.
Perhaps Brambus or the one on Bliteon; then, he’d be able to gain all the power in their soul fragnts, and hopefully, brute force his way towards Transcendence.
If he does the sa to Ikerth, he might just leave Zotov as a being surpassing Transcendence; a Half-Deity.
Azure flas swirled around his right hand and azure lightning tendrils crackled around his left palm as he got up to his feet and floated upwards.
Hanging from his shoulders was an overcoat, one of his old ones with defensive power that no being currently on Zotov, not even Dornik could break through with a ’full powered’ strike.
The ’Full Power’ of his current state, not his Full Race Lord power, that is.
"Which one of you is going to die next?"
One of the rn Sovereigns took deep breaths as he looked up to Jamie while clutching his bloodied arm.
"...why the hell are you here?! Myth of Estea!!"
His aura surged uncontrollably and the energy of the universal law of water perated the area, conjuring gigantic spears of water all around Jamie.
However, the Hybrid only glanced at them with his glowing Blue eyes, and imdiately, the space that the spears occupied was carved out of existence.
No gestures needed.
If Jamie used gestures now, then it was simply either for the fun of it, or he wanted to focus his attack.
"On dirait que tu as fait ton choix."
As if mocking them, Jamie used their own Language as he spoke, the sa language of the planet Jeune’s Giant mother ca from.
’We’ve made our choice...!’
The aning of his words floated in the head of the Sovereign, and the instant he saw Jamie’s palms cup together, his eyes widened with realisation.
The energy surrounding his two hands surged towards the space between his palms, concentrating into a single point before being launched as a streaming beam of powerful energy.
Though the rmaid attempted to defend by erecting barriers, they were all easily pierced through by Jamie’s Azure Energy Blast.
One of them tried slicing it with his halberd, but the blast tore through the halberd and the rmaid who attempted it was not spared either, as she lost everything from her wrists downwards.
The beam then went on to fulfil its original goal and blast a hole through the head of the head of the rman who had been frozen in space.
**BOOMM!!
Though muffled by water, the sound of the explosion and the white light released was enough for anyone to figure that the target had been consigned to oblivion.
You didn’t need to see the localized spatial distortion blooming where his head was to know that.
But just as the strength possessed by a Sovereign Realm Jamie was great, so was the amount of experience required to increase it.
So much that Jamie didn’t even co close to levelling up yet after killing that Sovereign, and after killing all of the rest, he had only increased by 1 level.
"Sotis having a higher capacity for power isn’t always a good thing."
"Unique Skill!"
"You know, it’s not always a good idea to announce the fact that you’re using your unique skil—?!"
Jamie’s words stopped halfway when he turned his gaze towards the last Sovereign present, his eyes widening in surprise when he saw the rman’s appearance.
While his lower half was still that of a fish, he now had two new extra pairs of appendages on his upper half. A pair of feathery wings and a pair of curved horns jutting out from the sides of his head.
"Flugel and Demon Factors...no...those aren’t Flugel wings."
