Jormungandr was confused when he heard that and tilted his head to the side. Vlad understood the small yellow cat’s confusion and continued.
"I managed to obtain a wealth of theoretical information and knowledge from my Second Past Life. That included the Rune Master knowledge I used to trick Asmael and the Depravita Rituals utilized to beco a Depravita myself and to revive you.
Although I can’t say for certain, I am pretty sure I was a significant figure in my Second Past Life, as the realm of scope and understanding I had seed to expand beyond the limits of the universe. However, this place is different and operates with different rules."
The confusion in Jormungandr persisted, but he knew Vlad had yet to finish and remained silent.
"The universe I used to belong to did not operate as this one. We followed more strict paths of power there, and our cultivation split into Ranks and Realms. They were much more challenging to practice and required much more ti, but they also expanded our lifespan trendously with every advance in Rank. Not to ntion, there was no such thing as a New Plane, and everything operated in a single dinsion of reality.
However, in this universe, worlds rise into New Planes, and the most mainstream path is divided into Levels. It also seems easier to approach and faster to advance, but its effect on lifespan is minimal, at least according to what Asmael was aware of.
In essence, I have no idea what we will face once we reach the higher dinsion of existence or how to traverse this new path of power.
Luckily for us, there are still so things that I can use. It seems the Rune Master knowledge of my Second Past Life is still useful here, and the knowledge of the Depravita Race and its rituals is also effective. I will have to figure out what else I can bring from my previous universe into this one.
Jormungander remained silent for a mont after hearing all that, and soon, a sharp light appeared in his eyes.
"Boss, if the Depravita Rituals work here, maybe your other spells will also work."
Vlad looked at Jormungandr, smiling as he saw the small yellow cat’s flashes of wisdom. Still, he softly shook his head.
"It’s more complicated, Jormungander. A spell works following the principles and rules that make the universe work, which are known as Laws. Just as the new Laws prevent the use of gunpowder to make guns work, my old spells would likely fail.
The Depravita Rituals work because they originate from an existence whose influence can affect different universes and realities."
Jormungander’s eyes glowed as he heard those words and attempted to imagine a being so powerful that his power could affect entirely different realities.
"What was his na? How is he?"
Vlad only smiled as he saw the curiosity in the small yellow cat.
"The na of the First Depravita is Venganza. As for his appearance, I have no idea. There’s no information about that in my mories. Maybe I never t him."
Jormungander’s glowing eyes twitched as he heard the na of that entity.
"Mmm, he might be extrely powerful, but his na truly lacks imagination."
"Hahaha. You little rascal."
Vlad only laughed as he heard Jormungandr, and truthfully, he thought the sa.
"Anyway, through the Origin Depravita Ritual, I took the negative emotions that flooded the world and beca a Depravita, and through the 7 Sins Ritual, I took a piece of my soul and made you a Depravita as well, giving you my Gluttony.
Of course, to say we are true Depravitas would be a stretch. We are in the process of becoming one. After all, a Depravita is an entity whose flesh and blood are made of negative emotions and chaotic psychic power, capable of surviving their hearts being blasted to pieces and with control over universal forces that could make even Gods tremble.
There are steps and conditions we need to fulfill to advance into becoming pure Depravitas, but those are in the future and will be unlocked once our bodies and souls grow powerful enough. We are a long way from reaching that point. For the mont, the only things we’ve obtained from our Depravita racial heritage are stronger bodies and access to racial innate abilities, like my ability, ’I Am Wrath.’"
